Well in my situation the car alarm didn't go off and when I put the key in an ignition it had no reaction as if it didn't recognize the key

I changed my fob battery and the passive unlock stopped working (hand inside door handle). How do I get that feature back? Passive lock still works but won’t unlock. Any ideas?
Help! I have a passat and the battery in the car is dead and the key wont open the car, I turn the key in the keyhole and it doesnt work, what to do???
You'll need to open the front bonnet. It is quite difficult but possible. Pull the cable from the bottom of the front hood. The cable which connects to the hood latch. You'll need technical knowledge for this. Then, change the battery or jump it with another car.
@@volkswagenkotabumi639 I had to tur n it with more force to overcome the spring of the lock. Which is contra intuitive when the key is plastic.
@@martinchrom4444 thats good. Also for Passat, the key only goes in all the way one side. The other side doesnt work. So if you got the wrong side in, you cant turn the key fully.
@@volkswagenkotabumi639 No, I went the right way, just didnt turn the whole 90 degrees, but only about 80, because using force with a plastic key felt like it might break easily and the spring is kinda strong
@@martinchrom4444 understood. Agreed with the plastic key. Too flimsy. Too easy to break.
