Honestly, Bridges just plays honest defense. He watches passing lanes, looks for double teams, traps, plays back door cuts, plays for the lob, switches on picks, etc. It's all the basic stuff. He just hasn't gotten lazy like 90% of the NBA players now that they are filthy rich.
Bridges plays defense because that's basketball to him. Offense just comes along with it. My kind of player.
Also, great channel, I hope you come out with more than one video every 3 months lol. The Phoenix market definitely could use a solid, well informed RUclips channel to come to. WE NEED IT lol.

The key is positioning. He is never really out of position on defense even as a rookie, doesn't reach too much and sticks to the fundamentals.

Watching good defense is more entertaining to me than watching a barrage of 3s. Call me old school, but I just enjoy watching it. Thanks for the video.

Great video. Mikal is one of the only things giving me hope for the Suns' future. On the constructive feedback front, there are a few clips that have been included twice in here. Keep doing what you're doing guys, love your content.

Good length, good quicks. Plenty of practice defending elite competition. Very lightweight; good acceleration and finishing. A prototypical NBA defender with plenty of room to grow. I hope PHX NEVER trades him.

I wanted the Knicks to draft him so badly last year. Same with Deandre Hunter this year. Defense, I.Q., Team-First Game, Quickness, scrappiness, and last but not least, Champion pedigree. Traits that are far too often overlooked. Both considered safe, 'high floor' guys(like thats a bad thing).
