@Ric Ambriz. - Shall we all just agree it was when you could hear the songs, - most of the singers and groups didn't think they were 'Gods', plus virtually all could sing without the need for a load of 'Electronic Adjusting'
Good quiz. Slipped up on The Weight, Whole lotta Love, and the Doors Light My Fire. The Chubby Checker snippet was a bit of a giveaway. Enjoyable, though, and critics of the decade, some songs were released in should chill, the Neil Diamond song wasn't a hit in the Uk until 1971, but I recognised it anyway.
I’m with you, that’s pretty obscure unless you’re a Nina fan. Edit- it was #2 in England, but only 94 on Billboard in US. It’s two songs from the Broadway musical “Hair”.
@@TomCee53 Really?? Wow... I'm 36, and I've heard this song countless times on the radio in my lifetime. Especially the stations that play older music.
@cjpew have you listened to the entire song after this video? Maybe the chorus will ring a bell? I can hardly believe people never heard this song..... but maybe I'm too 60's orientated to think things like that.
@@WessGrumble Nope, definitely never heard it. I'd say I'm pretty sixties oriented too, but not so much that style of music. Also, I'm in Canada - maybe that's an excuse/reason? Didn't have a lot of variety of radio stations back then.

Missed 5. Thought the lyrics in the last one belonged in the 70s in the musical Hair. There’s a similar song in that lyrically. Oh well, born in ‘69 and thought I would only do well with 70s rock. These Boots & Stop in the name of love have classic music videos.
Nice score. On your rating system I had 73, but pure luck they picked songs I knew. I always get the motown male groups mixed up. Love stuff like this. Thanks
I got ALL except for the last one. Never heard it. You threw an unknown song at us. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100, where it reached number 94. Tsk. Tsk. Never played in my market. Subscribed.
I've read more people say they didn't know this song (#40) and sometimes never even heard it... and it absolutely baffles me that so many people don't know this song by Nina Simone.
I got 36/40 right. Two I did know the artist but didn't know the title, 1 I did not know at all and 1 I did know the song but didn't know the title and the artist. I am.born in 1980 so kind of proud of myself. :D
I'm afraid I prefer your channel to L****'s L*****y' mainly because a lot of his tunes he plays appear to be virtually 'merged' into the snippet then played as the 'clue' for the next 'question'.
@@TheQuizChannel I'm from the Netherlands too.... maybe that explains why I knew #40, while a lot of people in the comment section never heard it. I didn't understand how people could never have heard it. Perhaps it's just played on Dutch radio a lot

Also, Folsom Prison Blues by Johnny Cash was released in 1957, and should not be on this list.
indeed it is

No kidding :)
Good quizz, lots of classic hits, that's fun. Would be great if you could skip that noice in between the songs though, it's grating on the nerves. 😱
Great one for me! 71/80. Keep em coming - find some lesser hits too, please. I need to wow them at the pub.
Great Quiz? I love the 60s music. I even made my own 60s playlist tshirt.
Great music indeed !! 😃

29 of 40. A lot I knew the title, but not the artist, OR, I knew the artist, but not the title. I tried. Thank you for posting.
Great quiz, really enjoyed it, if you give a point for artist and for the song (2 points per question) I got 69/80 so not bad!
Thank you very much Gary, glad you enjoyed the quiz and that’s a great score !! 💪🏻

Es wäre um einiges besser, wenn du bei der Auflösung noch den Refrain des Songs laufen ließen lässt.

Got 39 right,, the last one which was thrown in there just so no one got them all 😜

39/40. Great decade for music
great quiz but did miss a Beatles song :(
To 90's kids, #36 is 'The Carlton'.
The wife and I got 35 out of 40. You may bow and kiss the helm of my robe if you so choose.
I totally bombed I can’t believe I didn’t recognize creedance 🤬

Well they formed in the late sixties and the song they played in this quiz "Whole Lotta Love" was from 1969 soooo...
