I'm a sinner and trying to let Christ take control of my life since I'm not good at it, but every now and then I hear a voice in my head that compels me to read the Bible and every time I read it, some words, it's like God is talking to me.. Last night I prayed before I went to bed and just as soon as i closed my eyes so I could sleep...a voice came to my head, it's more like a thought that said "get up and read the Bible".. Then I woke up and read it, that Was God telling me to Get up and read the book and I got His message.. God is Real, In Christ I Trust.. God bless

Lans world - and now for a REAL reply...please take heart. The Bible is truly God's living Word, as stated in Hebrews 4. God knows your heart (that's stated all over the New Testament), and if you're truly seeking HIM as you read, He will reveal Himself in ways you might not even realize at first. I think reading just a chapter at a time - maybe from John, or Acts, or Romans - and just letting His Word "sit" with you as you contemplate it. Think about it during the course of the day, and just talk to God about regular stuff you're thinking. You'll see, He is there with answers. Ask Him into your heart and ask Him for understanding and wisdom. God bless!

I agree, the Book of John - but mostly - I would suggest, just ASK God to reveal Himself to you. He already knows you and loves you, and is really just waiting for each one of us to be willing to accept and love Him back! The gospel by which we're SAVED. We're under Paul's ministry today. So it's only by GRACE that we are SAVED not by works. JESUS did all the work and gave us GRACE (unmerited favor) as long as we have FAITH (believe) in the DEATH, BURIAL, and RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ for SALVATION (trust in his BLOOD ATONEMENT). That's the gospel. JESUS said, Ye must be BORN AGAIN to enter into the kingdom.(accept Jesus as your SAVIOUR)
