    That torso cross body lead is so simple, looks good, and something I definitely have never done before! Thank you for teaching style in the basics! ❤️

    That last tip for the follows at the end about the torso direction with each step was super helpful! These are the little details that are often overlooked during classes.

    Thank you, very helpful! When I started dancing (as a follow) I was told I didn't relax my upper body enough. Now I was told I would move my arms too much (mostly because I enjoy the music so much). I wasn't sure what was the right amount. This explains it.
    However, I do wonder, is more arm movement okay when dancing solo?

      Glad it could help! And yea, when you're solo you can do whatever you want. on the technical side Ideally the movement in your arms is a consequence of your steps and weight shifts, which moves your hips and torso and then your arms move because your torso moved. Nailing that is what makes arm movement look good and natural. -robin
