Today Sunday.8,2021. I just finished the mechanical part of this fabrication. My weekend project. Next paint it and start using it!
Also done with left overs. In my case, the metal came from my neighborhood mailboxes frame! That was knocked out by a snowblower a few Winters ago... The rest of the metal will be a landplane, when time permits! :-)
On mine I added a trailer hitch, a tow ring and a couple of slots to hold a chain! For possible logging operations, on my old & tiny Satoh ST1510D (4x4)! Anyway it was all inspired on your project/idea. Thanks a bunch.

Nice work! I love Kubota's. I need to make up some kind of skid plate for the bucket on mine so I dont dig up the driveways when plowing snow. Getting sick of raking gravel out of the lawn in spring ha ha.

Thanks for posting this. I like the way you built that, very simple and no need to weld. I built my drawbar into a forklift. Its the most useful thing I use on my small Kubota. I plan to post more videos where I am using it to show how useful a forklift can be on a compact tractor. Seems like I get more satisfaction using equipment I've made for the little tractor than any of my other projects.
+onewyatt1 The satisfaction of these projects does get quite addictive. I can see where your idea on the forklift could be very useful for many folks. A little creativeness can make 1 machine useful for so many different things!
Wish I had the energy to do more projects. Seems like I am always thinking about how to make stuff but the old bones keep me daydreaming.

getNAMEright Really got a kick out of your write up!! Always enjoy hearing from Aussie folks. Sounds like your sitting pretty good on the tractor situation. Totally correct on never have too many. They make things get done so much faster so one can move on to other things. That sprayer is great when you have a lot of trees to spray amongst other things. I will be posting a detailed vid on the sprayer somewhere in the future. It's nice to know this video has been helpful. mustie1 The 10 KW is perfect to run the entire place here. The only thing it wouldn't run the air compressor upstairs. I have a 5HP that It will if ever necessary.
ive been keeping an eye for a gen with a blown motor so l can make one up, right now l have a gas powered welder but its a fuel pig,

mi2tn A few locals took the dimensions from me and had someone make it for them. They didn't do the 45's to keep things more basic. Just an idea for ya - I have people get the steel they need for a project and cut it to dimensions. Then the bring it to me and I'll weld it up. It don't take long or cost much to burn a few welds. :) But hey - Glad you enjoyed the video and Thank You for your comment mi2tn, Jeff

Did you put an electric motor on that Earth-Way Spreader, or did it come that way? I've been thinking of modifying a pull-type spreader to be electric. Great video!

***** Thank you dinny7777. These projects might be a bit of work at first but once things are complete they are appreciated more each time they get used. I know when it took a bit to install certain attachments there were times where they just didn't get used.
Great job on everything I've seen so far! Do you have any 3 point attachments that you can't use this with?
I assume this is usually mounted to your tractor, if so what do you use for moving a trailer, just mount a ball on it?
The Kubota tiller has it's own mounts where it needs to be removed otherwise all my attachments work fine with that on. I do have a ball with a hairpin to keep it retained to the draw bar. That works great for a quick trailer grab to move them around.

We get pto units in work occasionally for repair.
That might be one of those Italian generators rebadged as a Dayton...nothin wrong with em, they work good ...
just of it's capacitor fired , keep spares on hand, the orig plastic case ones like to pop occasionally and it's nice to change em out with good metal case caps instead.
Just check your exciter windings if ya pop a cap, ya should have 1-1.5 ohms on them and nothin to ground. They rarely fry a winding, 90% of the time I find a bad cap. You could go up or down a size on the caps too, if your voltage output is high or low to adjust it to suit. With multiple caps , keep them the same size between them too.
MrTheHillfolk Thanks, yeah the cradle is homemade. Had some old floor jack wheels in the hoard pile that finally had a use too! Wow you blew me away on your advice here. Very interesting. This is one of the rare things here that I never took apart. :>) YES I'll be taking that cover off to look inside now. Who do you recommend for caps? When I bought that unit the guy told me they were wound for 1800 RPM instead of 3600 to be more efficient from the 540 gear up. Any thoughts, And Thank You much for the advice!!! Hows your hood doing - any progress?
If that thing is setup for 1800 rpm generator that's awesome.
The difference is in the rotor. 4 poles gives ya 60hz at 1800.
2 poles gives ya 60hz at 3600. Peashooters and small gens are usually 3600.
Now that I think about it , if may have 1 large cap in the back..
1800 Rpms is nicer for less noise and wear on the bearing, if it was a gen set with it's own engine, you would notice 1800 vs 3600 quite a bit.
Even on a pto setup when we run em in the shop they make a fair amount of fan noise
I'll have to check at the shop and see the couple of brand names we use for capacitors. I do know we usually step up to a 440vac rated cap over a 370vac rated cap though.
Heh, gens are "simple" 3 things ya need: motion, magnetism and a winding. I use the basics 101 every day on the job.

Very cool setup! Thanks! I would like to duplicate this for use with my Kubota B20. Have you tried this setup with heavier attachments like a bushhog? Or earth working implements such as a middle buster, tiller, etc? Ideally it would be great if the attachments can hook up to the quick attach bar, but still work with a standard 3-point as well when sharing implements with a buddy!
Hi there. That 55 gallon sprayer I have hangs on that bracket. When full it is real easy to do a wheelie. I don't take it easy either when that is on in fear of.... I would think it would support a bushhog but no have never tried that. My tiller does hook up directly to the 3 point, no quick change for that one but the 10k generator does hook to that bracket. My farmer friend made a bracket off the dimensions of mine and he loves it!
