    HHHH= WHEN PLANTING A "BARE ROOT" PLANT =1st MAKE A MOUND LIKE A PYRAMID WITH SOIL THEN LAY THE HANDLE {SHOVEL,ETC.} ACROSS OPENING OF HOLE WHICH GIVES A "LEVEL", SO "UNION GRAFT" IS ABOVE SOIL HOLE!!!

    You did everything possible to give a great start, what happened to the apple tree?
    I planted my bare root fuyu less than two weeks ago and it’s already budding..I’m amazed and so excited. In the last 6 months I planted 10 fruit trees, and another 7 banana trees..I love it

    So you know about tree planting but the apple tree was dead (at that spot)?
    In Asian Persimmon tree are exposed to the a direct sunlight for more than 7 hours. The only time the tree dies is because people broke too many branches or cut it down for firewood.

    Why didn't you cut the top of the bear root tree off when you planted it ?

    I planted this 6 feet away from the foundation of the house. Given that the Fuyu is grafted onto a common persimmon semi-dwarf non invasive root system, do you think that I should move it further out?

    Hai Mr.Jake mace, pls suggest, shall we sow persimmon seeds directly to a big containers, or have to sow in a small containers and then do transplantation once after it grows to a certain height. pls reply

    • @aidancampos5959
      @aidancampos5959 6 лет назад

      Nagalakshmi Lakshmi optimally it will be best to directly sow into a big container so you don’t disturb the roots, however starting in smaller containers and then transplanting won’t do much harm to the tree so that will be fine also.

    Hey Jake! In regards to using woodchips as mulch... I'm in the process of building my raised bed, and I intended on using woodchips, but my concern is termites! Have you ever had to deal with termites with the woodchips you have?

    • @choritzo1963
      @choritzo1963 8 лет назад

      While I lived in Phoenix, Az, I used bark on my plants but they had some wood still in them. Bad idea ! I discovered termites feeding on the wood so I quickly got rid of the bark and that idea. Seems like woodchips is a big invitation to the neighborhood termites.

    Persimmon trees are native to Texas

    • @buyerofsorts

      Native to China I believe.

      There are two different species. Diospyros virginiana and Diospyros kaki.

    • @dapaozhang8565
      @dapaozhang8565 Год назад

      @@alanfalleur6550 "Texas persimmon", small black fruit, is Texas native. Diospyros Virginiana, small astringent fruit, is American Native. They are wild and you can't buy those fruits in any store. The persimmons you see in stores are species originally from China. They were introduced to Japan, and to US in the 1980's.

    Why didn’t he do the dirty work and let the other guy hold the tree. Hate the way he’s ordering the guys. Supervising?? Yeah right! First time watching this dude and hate his attitude! Get a shovel and stop yapping your mouth!!

    • @VeganAthlete
      @VeganAthlete  6 лет назад +6

      R R don’t you think it is you who is yapping your mouth here in the comment section…? Don’t you think you should be out planting a garden or fruit trees instead of wasting your time being a RUclips troll. The very nature of this video was that my friend Joachim was interested in planting a fruit tree himself… If you would like to see me do some work and get my hands dirty feel free to watch one of my other fruit tree planting videos… There are hundreds of them! I hope you find some stress relief and relaxation in your life but until then go get a life and hopefully that life involves you planting a garden instead of being a jerk in RUclips comments 😉
