In my opinion I think one of the major reasons why there is hugh decline in Church attendance is because people come into Church and a few engage in shallow small talk with 1 or 2 people and go to their seat and hear a sermon sing songs and then after the closing prayer smile at people as their leaving and get into their cars and leave and do the same thing Sunday after Sunday year after year and for the vast majority of Americans for this reason going into a Church is of no interest to them. I have been a Christian for over 50 years and attended Church every Sunday and still have not made one friend. The non-Christian western world would rather get together with their friends at clubs and sit with their friends and socialise watch a ball game on the club tv screen with their friends and cheer when their team gets a score while eating tacos than go inside a Church and see all these people they don't know standing next to each other in the lobby engaging in small talk and then go inside and hear people sing songs and hear a man talk and more singing and everyone gets up and smiles at each other while there is music playing and everyone gets into their car and leaves. My family members would rather get together with their friends on a gulf course and socialise and get together for birthdays, holidays and have done so for decades and formed close friendships with them then go inside a Church and experience what I experience at Church.
