The most underrated singer songwriter on the planet. Have loved this music since I discovered it by chance in 2013. Greetings from South Africa.
Ben is an absolute musical genius. It’s cool to see how he interprets his songs to live music
one of my favorite artists of all time. the family tree trilogy is one of the greatest projects i have ever had the pleasure of listening to. absolutely fantastic. love ya ben
Project is right. Ben clearly puts huge amounts of work and thought into what he creates
Yea. It was the soundtrack to my early 20s. Everytime Im cruising on a trip, radical face is always on to give me the nostalgia im looking for.
Thank you for uploading this high quality stuff! I love radical face and I hope to see them/him live soon :)
Set List:

5:56 - Crooked Kind
15:45 - Secrets (Cellar Door)
20:49 - The Moon is Down

Listening to Radical Face is a great antidote to the depressing situation we're in (though unfortunately not an actual antidote).
I love the haunting beauty that is Radical Face's music
Beautifully said & I 100% AGREE! 💚🌞🌈
REAL, HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL MUSIC
One of my favorite writers.
How could you ever downvote this?! This is so incredibly beautiful!
been listening to him since last 10 years and its nostalgic everytime i listen to his sings. Love ❤ from India
Great version of Crooked Kind. Love the strings.
This version of Black Eyes is phenominal! Great job guys.
Love this music. I really was impressed that they would have a viola da gamba player in the band. Great under-rated instrument.
They’re music is the rare type that hits directly to my soul giving me chills & making me tear up 😢 every single time! Not all musicians are artist (imo) but they DEFINITELY ARE! Every song tells a story of my life. Thank You for sharing your gifts with the world...there’s no words I can think of to explain what it means to me personally but I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart...& cannot imagine my life w/o it...TRUTH! 💚
I'm so glad you had them on the show. I listened to their album Ghost a ton, then the band kind of fell off my radar. I'm so glad they're still around and making music. I'm going to have to get all the albums I've missed. Really excited to get to explore the rest of their catalog. Great interview and a great band. It was a really enjoyable thing to experience on my lunch break today. Be well.
The "band" is actually just Ben. Though he tours with a band and has guest musicians on a few recordings. I think he recorded Ghost all by himself.
And you're right, that album is amazing. I think it's still my favorite, followed by The Roots. But there are lots of great songs to explore. :)
Buckle up. After Ghost, Ben had plans to do a 2-album Family Tree story line which ended up being 4 albums over like 10 years. It's an impressive project.
While I like Ghost, I never thought it was the best Radical Face album. The Roots comes very close for me but The Bastards for me really is Radical Face at its best (although I really do love almost everything Radical Face produces - Missing Film has no vocals and is incredible).
Night Clothes from The Bastards is my favourite song. Baptisms, Sisters and West are also highlights.
Thank you so much for Host Radical Face, its my favourite band, It helps me so much whenever im feelling sad
What a brilliant live sound! & great Interviewer, thanks for sharing.
Yay new discovery!
Yes! Radical Face and news that the new album is in the works. Looking forward to whenever it drops. Also, I saw Radical Face live 3 or so years ago and it was amazing. You guys are doing great. I think it was the first tour with the new drummer; at least I remember Ben mentioning it. I don't think I've been to a live show since. I just hate the live experince (besides the music). The crowd, the commute, the people. I'm too much of a homebody/introvert to enjoy it now I think. I'm glad I made it out to see them though.
That whistling was awesome too! And what an amazing rendition of Black Eyes!
Ben, i hope you read this, talking form Argentina.
Im a big fan of you, your voice and your melodys reaches directly to my soul and i am so thankfull to you for sharing your music.
I know that you said you prefer recording than playing live, but i need to ask: would you please give us more live stuff? It is really beuatifull to see you playing live, you really feel your music and it is extremely beautifull to be able to watch you doing what you love.
Thanks again and sorry about my english.
Incredible, brilliant session, great line up here, we'll played fellas!
It's weird... but RF is being part of my life for years already! T_T
Someday, i hope they come to nuevo leon, mexico. My favorite band from i was 13 years old. I know this kind of music dont its very popular, so, maybe its not so cool idea for them, but if they come i will do everything to go and scream and just, apreciate one moment of good songs playing by good persons.
Pd: im sorry for my mistakes i don't speak inglish.
You are great Radical face

This was really nice to listen to and watch. I consider it a replacement for your live show I was going to see in March before covid. Ugh, curse you corona virus!!!
