Yessss me too! It works wonders, not flaky, not crunchy and my hair is elongated with not much frizz...Im type 4a/b, Im on day 3 with it already and no flakea still...i switch between different stylers and this week.I went back to that one
Sis, please tell me what you used to not get the flaking because I got extreme flaking on both tries to the point after that, I just threw it out. I am 4C. Thanks 💗
@@crystalgrose ik you were asking the lady above but I saw a review from another RUclipsr saying that they experienced flaking the first time too until they tried the routine again being less heavy handed w the custard… and then she loved it… hope that helps ☺️
There are a couple of factors to consider: bad ends, applying the product on the length of your hair ( root to ends) not just on the top and how wet one’s hair is when one applies the leave-in. I have 4b-c texture and my friends that have used it, getting the same result are type 4c.
Cassy Cohen Everyone has different hair..it's hyped because it's amazing. Just because it didn't work for her doesn't mean it doesn't work in others 👌🏼
Sorry that it didn’t work for you! I haven’t tried it yet but I’m looking for new products (of course I have to look at the reviews and that’s what I’m doing know) I heard that the Mint Almond Oil by Mielle is supposed to prevent the flaking. Make sure you use a sealant as well. But everyone has different hair that reacts to products differently 😊❤️
JUST the leave in conditioner works perfectly in my 3c/4a hair🙌🏾 haven't tried the custard or souffle but the leave in is the only one I need my hair is so moisturized and doesn't shrink. Even bounces with my head movements 😂😂😂 other gels and custards and leave ins NEVER worked good for my hair and i finally found THEE one!!!!!
I have 3c/3c curls & I love the leave-in. I can do a wash & go with just that product & get soft, bouncy curls. The coil custard was a big no for me. It made my hair feel sticky, clumpy, & gross. My hair behaves & feels better with the leave-in alone.
I purchase this product for my cousin who has type 4 ABC hair as she says. LOL I have type 3A with 2 small spots that are 3B. My cousin love this line but we did have to adjust the way she was using it. First of all you cannot be heavy-handed which a lot of people are . I told my cousin she was putting way too much, you don't need as much as you think. that was the first problem with the flakes and the residue. Also, the custard is more I believe for my hair type it's light enough and it gives my hair enough moisture and definition. It does not weigh it down and it lasts for about for 5 days without me having to do anything with it my hair keeps the definition and moisture. All I use out of this collection is, I love love love the leave-in cond. Even a bunch of stylist that I turned onto it loves it. It gives my hair the right amount of moisture without being too much. It also starts Define My Curls. Then I use the smoothie again not heavy-handed just a little and I Do by the way have a lot of hair very thick it is fine to medium and it is down to the top of mine butt(lol) also my hair is 85% normal porosity every now and then and maybe low.. The 3 that works for me are the leave- conditioner, the Smoothie which is a moisturizing product not a curl definer it does not weigh my hair down and again you do not need a lot of it it just adds the right amount of moisture to my hair,. And then I use the custard which is NOT a gel. You only use just what you need.MORE ISN'T BETTER. overuse it you will possibly have flakes but I don't see how you have any dryness , unless just your hair is a lot coarser and I don't want to say kinky but some hair need even more moisture than is in this product . Possibly some good consistent hot oil treatments would help with that. So that's what works for me just those three I do not use the twisting souffle because it is too thick and heavy for my hair but for those hair types it works for they seem to love it. My cousin loves that one. So I tried it and I guess my point to all of this rambling is go light on it not too heavy-handed and I would try the leaving in with the smoothie and the custard in that order those that I have told to use it that way came back to tell me that that works for them they sent me pictures and they're happy. But no you don't need all 4 on your hair you would not need a twisting Souffle and a custard that's way too much. Sorry for the rambling trying to get it all in. And then there's always everything doesn't work for everybody. Whether it's hair products, beauty products food not everything works for everybody so. Good luck everybody
Sunshine's karma I totally agree. I absolutely love this line; however, I don’t use them all at the same time. I use the custard w/o the smoothie. I found that it wasn’t needed. My curls are super defined and they last at least 4 days. They would probably last longer but I truly enjoy washing my my hair a lot... crazy I know! I’m not sure what texture this product is designed for, but I’m mmm 3C low 4A. You are also correct less is more when getting the best results from this product. As long as my coins hold out, this will be my Go to brand. Every product is not meant for every body. Don’t hate on the product just because it didn’t work for you. Find something that does and stick with it.
I saw that sale for the 4 stylers and was like naaahhhh lol so I waited for a better sale but anyway I have the leave in and the twisting soufflé and I love it! I've only tried it on wet hair just using those 2 products on a twist out and my 4b hair was so moisturized and defined. Try those 2 by itself after you wash your hair again, I think it may work better. I do agree with you though custards usually don't work for kinkier textures. My hair hates them as well lol 💕
Omg!! I’m so glad you made this video, I thought I was the only one experiencing that. It made my hair very moisturized but it was flack city...by the next day.😡😡
Yeah the only thing I dont like about Mielle Organics is the ingredients list.. If your gonna call a line Organics then i should be organic.... I was pissed when I looked up some of the ingredients in her products.. Some of these companies call their products organic but they still put unatural stuff in their shit 😒 for example that ginger gel has benzyl alcohol in it which dries the hell out of some peoples hair and for natural hair alcohol is a no no unless its a moisturizing alcohol.. Dont let them lables fool you on these " Organics" hair lines they still slippin shit in it and thats why some of yall are saying it dries out your hair... If it works for you tho keep using it everyones hair is different my hair cant cope with unatural ingredients. So to eaches own.
TrayTray N/A hm? Benzyl Alcohol is a natural alcohol (for the most part unless made in lab) that occurs in plants and you can find it in tea or in some fruits.. It’s an aromatic alcohol too, and a preservative for products from going bad especially natural products. It’s not bad for your hair at all unlike Isopropyl, Alcohol Denat etc. If it is higher than ingredient 6 it presents a chance of death if absorbed via the skin, but as a natural preservative it’s near the very bottom of the ingredient list. You may have read that wrong regarding this alcohol, it doesn’t do anything to your hair for the most part anyway other than give it a smell. After a certain Dosage it can cause terrible effects to humans even hair that can lead to damage, but that’s to the more sensitive types.
Thank you for being honest! I wanted to live this line so much. However it did not work for me . My hair was crunchy, dry, extremely frizzy and tangled ! I couldn’t even do a wash and go. The leave in is light weight I agree however it left my hair dry and had absolutely no slip ! I’m just happy someone else feels the same way I do!
Thank you for this.. was def on the list to purchase this week. I hate gels that gives the sticky residue. The main choice Egyptian gel did the same thing .
Mira L I have this custard. Haven't used it yet. Jane Carter's 'Curls to Go' gel flakes like crazy as well. Dang. I thought we found some good new products. I can't do the flakes.
i tired the twisting souffle a while back... i think that is what it was. also flaked but i think i had some DC residue in my hair so i tried is again on a section of my hair that was rinse completely and it was good. However if had no moisture. so its a pass for me. Thanks for sharing your thoughts
I love love this line💕💞💘💖 keeps my dry hair moisturized! I use the smoothie & the leave-in. The custard is okay but Im generally not a fan those kind of gels, I’m an eco Styler girl.
The only thing I use for this line is the twisting souffle and that is a HOLY GRAIL product, my fave leave in plus that and an oil to seal and I'm set. Bomb af twist out. I've never paired the rest of the products with it so... I dont think I will after this 😭😂😂
I used the leaving with eco styler doesn't mix well together. I had little white residue in my hair and hands. So I use it with different products. A good way to know if it mix well put a little of the leave in your hand with another product if you see little white clumping then you'll know. Then later I tried the leave in with the custard it works but I was heavy handed , which I see a little goes a long way. Use their oil I saw no flaking. It last about 4 to o 5 days. But like you said everyone hair is different.
Sucks you hated it. I have to say if you live in the 3 family you will love it. I do. But it is definitely a mixed review. It did not work for my daughter and she is 4b texture.
Hey girly!!! Have you tried doing the prayer hands method when applying products?!?! If you aren't returning it, maybe try the prayer method on soaking wet hair with the leave-in and twisting souflee. Then run a denman brush through it for definition. This has literally been the only way I get definition from products 🤷 I don't care for custards either but I do add a LITTLE of her product for extra hold...and because I spent the money on it😭
I have 3b/3c hair and this dried my hair to straw, it smelt amazing but straw I couldn’t even comb my hair after, it was ripping out no knots it was this curl smoothie that dried me out even after using a good conditioner and deep conditioner my hair still needs repair, and after reading the ingredients a ton of alcohol is in and it that explains why
I agree with you. I bought all 4 of their styling products. I like the leave in but I don't love it...will not purchase again. The curl smoothie is the worst for me...no definition at all. The custard I liked but I LOVE As I Am Curling jelly. So I went purchase the custard again. The twisting souffle is the only product I haven't used yet. So the verdict is out on that one. Thank you for this video! I thought it was just me and my 4b texture. My hair flaked and crusted like pie crust! I hate that I wasted my money! My daughter is 3b/4a. Maybe she can use it!
I just started using the curling custard and it’s bomb for me, however I use the tgin leave in so that might be why it worked differently with me. And my hair is definitely type 4b/4c, but it might be the porosity or the type of leave in I used.
