- In This video, we were going to talk about the Toyota tundra, engine, disaster and Tacoma issues as well and just overall Toyota pricing it’s crazy how overpriced the vehicles are and the quality is lower than recent history and the prices are way higher. Toyota is going downhill very quick.
Toyota moved production to Mexico, downgraded the engine and transmission, and raised its prices. I’m sure that strategy is going to work long term…
Ah, the Stellantis Maneuver.
If it makes their stock price go up 10% this year, they’ll consider it an incredible success.
They consolidated all their platforms on the TNGA-F to save money? Yet they overcharging on all those vehicle
Idk about downgrading the engine. Technically it’s a better engine all around just has no history of reliability in the United States. In other countries they sell a truck with a turbo 4 for over 10 years. They should have updated the 6 cylinder for the base model and the high end trims use the turbo 4 hybrid. It would have made more people happy. What was a downgrade was the poor QC and increasing prices
Tundra is made in San Antonio, Texas, USA 🇺🇸
I love Toyota and own 2 of them, but I’m not stupid to pay 70K for a Taco. The truck market is ridiculous. All these manufacturers are too greedy. The dealerships are also part of the problem not willing to negotiate. Everyone keep your money and let these dealerships fail. It’s unthinkable for a Taco to cost 1/2 of the price of my first home bought 1996.
GMC: Our engines are complete shit
Toyota: Hold my Tundra.
@@GoodToGo1 😂😂😂😂
100k better than,,877k bad ones.
@@1976axerhandI was reading the tundra forums and it is rumored to be 300k. Toyota is just doing it in phases to avoid looking bad.
youre buggin ill take a gm 5.3 liter over anything toyota makes
@@drewdevon2009 You are kidding right? GM's 5.3 engine is one of the engines at the centre of the whole cylinder deactivation storm. They have had many reported failures of engine lifters. Simple google search will bring up many results.
45K for a Camry? Someone has lost their mind.
Camry was always a middle class family sedan. Pure evil and greed
45 is completely insane
That's Audi territory. Camry? lol
45k was a Lexus ES 10 years ago!
i know right? and its a crap hybrid 4 cylinder
My friend just got the 24 TRD Pro Tacoma. He showed me the other day. When he shifted into reverse leaving from my house, it shifted so hard…like a crackling grind noise…my first thought was, “Oh That transmission is gonna crap out” 🙄
The "debris in engine" excuse will go down as one of the best PR campaigns of all time. Overpriced unreliable and underpowered
Yup. call it p.r. or more like propaganda. Toyota changed up parts and gave new part numbers. Did they think nobody would figure it out. I'm still waiting on my new engine. Mine ate itself last Feb. then they gave me a short block THEN they realized they need to replace the engine...never again
Corporate greed is job 1, and it's not just Ford!
I would bet that the debris in the engine was engine parts that broke off.
It's not greed. It's government regulations. It's not possible for manufacturers to make what you want any more because it's all about emissions standards now. They stopped making cars to suit the customer and started making them to suit the government. It shows.
It is greed because these manufacturers get tax breaks when they do this EPA crap. Nissan can still make the frontier with the naturally aspirated V6 no problem.
@shapiroshekelberg604 manufacturers are allowed to have individual models exceed standards as long as the average if their fleet meets the standards.
As the emissions standards tighten, it gets harder to maintain, which is why Toyota is getting ahead of it by moving everything over.
It's not about tax breaks. It's about having to do it in order to sell cars.
It’s such a skill to make up excuses for greed these days.
@Anomize23 not nearly as impressive of a skill as ignoring reality when it's presented to you.
@@Zenergist greed is the reality behind it, don’t try to make up excuses again.🙄 I didn’t ignore it and pointed it out, reading comprehension is KEY
50 percent off. That's my new mantra
Out of curiosity... Does Toyota have a DEI department or something? 😅 The "problems" sound too familiar with other car brands 😮
Blaming engine debris for a blown engine is akin to blaming heat for a fire. Sure, it might be the cause, but it's also the result.
Keeping my old Chevy Avalanche so reliable and paid for :)
As my 2004 taco with 250k miles continues to kick ass. will hold on to it till maybe Toyota gets their act together. Considering a Nissan Frontier.
I’ve been trying to buy a hold over 2024 Frontier 4X4 S model. They have $7-8k in discounts currently. Buuuuuuut add $500 doc and a $1,800 addendum and a $28k trunk is $30k or more again. These dealers need to go out of business.
Toyota, scrap the TT crap and bring back the 5.7
$76,000 for a Tundra is criminal.
Why do all you people keep saying debris in the engine it's not debris it's a design flaw 2024 are grenading engines and there's already a few reports out of 2025 models spinning bearings it's a damn design flaw some of these engines are going at 4000 miles and others are lasting 40k or longer before they grenade it's a freaking design flaw a lot of these engines were assembled in two separate plants and yet they have the exact same issue the same bearings going out and the same debris issue from two different plants????? I will never be convinced it's a debris issue
It's mind boggling that Toyota has allowed this to happen. They know all too well what it takes to build high quality, long-lasting vehicles, but alas that train has come off the tracks. The pricing is a secondary issue, and the price hikes also should not be happening, but the two together will cause Toyota to lose massive amounts of market share in the truck market.
The pricing issues are also seen in other makes, and customers are backing off of making buying decisions. For years, customers have been buying vehicles they really cannot affort by financing them and dealers emphasizing monthly payment amount over what a vehicle actually costs. This is a HUGE mistake. Pay attention to what a vehicle costs.
Folks, don't allow the dealer to talk just about monthly payment. In the old days, a buyer would go through a bank to get a loan amount they could manage and then go buy the vehicle they could afford. Today, dealers are pushing expensive vehicles on buyers whose incomes are far below the affordability line...and the dealer gets away with it by saddling the buyer with a loan that will go on forever.
SE Toyota is almost a criminal enterprise!
Toyota's Iron Clad reputation of Reliability started to deteriorate, eight years, ago. Sad, indeed!! 😢😢
Toyota Urban Racing Development
TURD
In the past if someone told me that the “T” in Toyota stands for Trash, I would have said go buy Nissan & have a “Good Day.” There is something about irony that always places some things into perspective.
EPA pretty much ruined all new vehicle's, it's not just Toyota all newer vehicle's are just throw away vehicle's anymore.
Tacoma should be sold for 30k, Tundra for 40k. Not a penny more! Who are these suburban dads buying these pos at these prices? My buddy has a 2006 tacoma and he tries telling me it's worth 20k!! 🤦🏻♂️🤣
I'm sorry Toyota. It cost you 20-30k to build a truck and you're selling it for 70k+ 😂 hard pass lol.
I bought a 2005 Fully loaded extended cab 4X4 Tacoma for 26k with the beautiful 4.0 1GRFE engine and I loved it (gave it to my dad who traded it in for a 2015 Highlander). I also have a 2002 Sequoia, a 1992 extended cab with the 22re. They could stick these new cars where the sun don't shine.
ALL the manufacturers have lost touch with reality. Spending $75K on a new vehicle has to be the dumbest financial move a person can make. The argument “we can’t make a profit selling cheap vehicles” is going to bury them all.
I am a Toyota guy, have owned over 20. But as of now I will not drive any Toyota newer than a 2019. And each of our Toyotas we have now all have V-6s, reliable and powerful.
I am glad I bought my 20 Tundra. I knew these v6 tt would be a problem. The 5.7 v8 is a fantastic engine and the 6 speed is also quite reliable.
I financed a 1990 Tacoma x-tra cab back in 1990 and Toyota finance gave me a 13.5% loan for 5 years. I did refinance it down with another company to 11%. (interest rates were high back then) However it shows Toyota does not care about giving you a great deal, they are greedy and they have been that way since the beginning.
A lot of people fail to acknowledge the insane mark-up dealerships charge after covid dealerships were making money hand over fist, and that hasn't slowed much.
I wished I bought a 22 or 23 SR5 as an investment. 😂😂😂😂
Bruh that’s like 90-100k total financed for a turbo hybrid 4cylinder. Holy Hell
Keeping my 24 4Runner pro for a long time…. Just can’t get myself to go to anything else , any new vehicles isn’t reliable anymore imo ….
Plastic Mexican Tacos 😂
Ill never buy another Toyota. Mex can have them. - Brian
It takes 6-10 years to regain consumer trust. Turbo causes reliability issues in all vehicles.
Are the new Toyota Corollas still reliable..?
My 23 Corolla le made in Japan has 21k miles and the vcm module failed......other than that it's wonderful.xd
Not the new ones
I'll keep my 2018 Tacoma until it refues to work any longer. My first house in 1995 for 100k. I will never pay that for a vehicle.
Is that 8 speed in the highlander? Yet those dont have issues.....is it the 4x4 versions bad.
Meanwhile the technicians cannot afford the basic necessities in life. No homes, no new vehicle, no groceries. Rent and insurance draining the paychecks of the people ultimately responsible for keeping the wheels turning, literally. Thank you boomers 🎉
I still have my low mileage 2004 Tacoma 4x4 and my low mileage 2000 4runner 5spd 4x4. Will never sell these two trucks. 5VZ-FE all the way. I will never buy a Toyota truck with a turbo unless it is a 22R-TE
Got a 2002 tundra with 50k miles
Toyota had a proven formula with the 2nd and 3rd gen tacoma. As 24 and 25 tacomas and tundras pile up on dealer lots, maybe somebody at corporate HQ will get the hint.
Why did Toyota decided to self-induce reputational slide for the sake of a buck. Any 1st day CEO would not take that risk.
Im 100% keep my 2020 corlla at this point because i just got it a few months sucks that thier new tucks have 4 cylinder and they got rid of the v8 would like to get a 4 runner or tundra with a v8 some point new stuff is expensive
Nope, and No again. We are a Toyota family and will not buy the new models.
Thomas, how will President Trump's plan to slap tariffs on foreign manufacturers affect the Mexico Toyota's I wonder?
Also, the company that does the add on equipment in north Florida is called "Southeast Toyota Distributors".
I think most people would be extatic to pay $5,000 for a Lada. I seriously hate all the useless bullshit cars have those days that quadruples the price while making them suck. I literally just want to drive to work.
Yall gonna hate me for this one but maybe they should start adopting more Subaru engines… like Toyota has with their GR86
my 2012 is worth more than any new toyota model pos
I’ll just stick to my Lexus gs 430
This will be the rise of Volkswagen 😤
Toyota's most reliable engine is the B58 in the Supra! If you know you know
Is EPA’s fault not Toyota. If you’re missing the V6s go thank Sleepy
I hope this gets back to Toyota.. I have only bought 4Runners in my adult life but I will never buy a 4 cylinder Turbo engine.. Question - After I tow my 23 ft boat with heavy trailer how much is it to replace a turbo dealership? Good luck suckas buying those
TINO
Tacoma In Name Only
Capitalism baby, if they stop selling, the price I’ll be adjusted
Right, they will lower the price $100.
No offense, but maybe people in your area can’t afford it. I live in a middle income area and Toyotas never sit.
Chevy dodge vw ford all of them junk
Sound like they want to get out the business you'll be in a walkable 15min city w robot dog and carbon tracking anyway.
Greed Mo Money Mo Money Mo Money shut up and give it up WTF
