Hitting someone when they're clearly knocked out with arms spred out is the definition of unsportsmanlike conduct, despicable. (How did this get 18k wtf?)
the fights not over till the Ref stops the fight
its the refs being fucking despicable
Not the fighters job to stop. The ref is the one that stops it
totally agree
@@coffeecool5190 the fights over when the other guy literally is unresponsive, otherwise ref or not, that’s attempted murder
I hate it when a fighter continues striking when the opponent is clearly knocked out.
Takes away from their victory for me.
The Bisping -henderson one was deserved. He had disrespected someones parents at a fight or some shit. The memes that came out of that are hilarous :D
If they CLEARLY know the fighter is out yes. Sometimes in the moment they hit till the ref stops it
If they allow the hits after a knockout because they say it's not done til the ref steps in, fine. But don't get mad when someone holds a sub until the ref clearly stops the fight...Rousimar Palhares.
Fighters are often trained to do this. In a fight, a person can appear to be knocked out only for it turn out they were just dazed and they regain lucidity soon after being knocked down. To avoid this possibility fighters are told to keep hitting their opponent to make sure they won't get back up.
@@anders4621 cross-examining people will never over-ride the principals we've established as a society.
mad respect for those who had self control to not attacking a knockedout oppoments
I think most of those who attack the knocked out oponent are more of instincts, like if you look it up you can find pretty easily some fighters acting like full animals after the knock out
mad respect for those who had self control? bruh this is sport not murder.
@@keevmcpeef5309 some fighters there dont think like that lol
As I saw others defending repeated strikes as “the ref stops the fight” I found myself thinking “it stops being a fight when you cannot fight”, these are people who are fighting for sport, they should give their best when it’s necessary, but an opponent who cannot retaliate is not an opponent
@@keevmcpeef5309POV mmkh kygbub
Its extremely barbaric when a fighter keeps on striking when they know their opponent is out cold. This is why Khabib is my favorite. He demolishes his opponent without hurting them. It takes more strength when someone is trying to kill you and you're just trying to win.
Without hurting them? Khabib's ground and pound is Legendary and how bout his finish over Conor then his assault on the crowd??? Lol without hurting them
@@EMal-mf9pc I wouldnt want to be hit by him at all but. I'm pretty convinced if I can get my ass beat by any UFC fighter in history, Id choose him because he wouldn't give me brain damage lol.
Connor just spoke too much trash so he kinda deserved it. If any fighter gave the same respect as Justin Gaethje did to him, he would just peacefully destroy you.
Any of those fighters on this video guaranteed has some serious life long CTE issues.
It’s the times now to b barbaric. The world we live in is trash. Me vs yu I’m doing the absolute most to stop yu from doing anything ever again
It's not easy to know when they're "out cold" and won't stand to fight again, unless the referee made it clear.
I once fought a guy who was "badly hurt" by me, so I turned to ask if he's okay, which was then he knocked me out.
For me # 11 is the most scariest brutal of all in this list. That Human Crucifix is just scary af and the fully-loaded elbows towards the head.

It is so incredibly dangerous to take blows to the head when you are unconscious. I don’t want to see a fighter crippled or killed.

Even though the Francis/ overeem ko was scary, I still think Francis vs rozenstruick was scarier. Probably because you could hear the punches landing in the empty apex center.
True and the way he just marched him down like that not giving a shit about his power.

Uriah Hall will always be a touchstone of class. He leaves it all in between the bells.
I read that between the balls and was very confused
I dont get it. How can you identify a fist coming towards you and dodge it when its a few centimetres away but you cant recognize when someones knocked out 5 hits ago?
Good point
Ones a hit and ones not
probably because they train so hard that dodging becomes a natural reflex/instinct. At this point they are just reacting to the movement, not thinking. And since training doesn't usually end with a knockout, I can see that they not noticeing it right away.
1. Dodging is a reflex and not a " Okay he punch the jab so i dodge to the left to make this and this "
Its just a reflex he do it without thinking.
And 2. If the ref dosnt stop the fight the fight still going on you as a fighter cant make the decision to end the fight so youl puch more.
Thats how mma work dunno why all you kids are here watching ufc if you cry over the rules xD
Your point makes no sense.
When these fighters are fighting do you really think they are going to ease up because their opponent went down
Commentator: "Herrera is a good grappler"
Herrera: *Proceeds to dream about his grappling skills*
There is no bigger act of cowardice in a sport fight (or any fight really) than jumping on top of an obviously knocked unconscious opponent and continuing to pound them in the head.
I disagree. Until the fight is finished you have to do everything within the rules to win.
There is also a fine line between a stunned fighter and a clearly ko'ed one.
It's the refs job to stop the fight if someone isn't defending themselves. Not their opponent.
Now if the ref taps you and Tim ignore it then it turns from a sport into assault.
In a real fight and real life scenario, let's say war, that is what you do to kill the opponent . Thus it is an ancestral instinct to kick the other guy in the head until he dies . It is very scary though .

"He broke his jaw" - no, somebody else broke it for him
4:12 It's incredible how late Herb Dean got to the fighter, those three punches are perfectly avoidable.
Not really. Herb is a big guy, he kind of has to be. It’s not easy to jump in between two fighters who connect with shots in split seconds and have the instinct to keep punching. The refs can’t be stood inches away from the fighters at all times, can they. The only person in that ring that can stop the unnecessary punches, is the one throwing them.
