Fighters are often trained to do this. In a fight, a person can appear to be knocked out only for it turn out they were just dazed and they regain lucidity soon after being knocked down. To avoid this possibility fighters are told to keep hitting their opponent to make sure they won't get back up.

I disagree. Until the fight is finished you have to do everything within the rules to win.
There is also a fine line between a stunned fighter and a clearly ko'ed one.
It's the refs job to stop the fight if someone isn't defending themselves. Not their opponent.

Bisping shortly after the first hendo fight would Illegally knee Jorge Rivera and finish him when he was still heavily concussed, after he won he would go on to spit on his cornermen and coach. Bisping also ended the career of one of my personal Favorite Middleweight Muay Thai strikers from back in the day Alan Belcher by eye poking him in his bad eye which he had previous surgery on. Dan Henderson ko of Bisping was one of the cleanest KOs I've ever seen. I remember watching that live. Yes the shot after that was a bit late but in that moment its kind of hard to stop yourself. That crucifix ko was just brutal

Rich "Ace" Franklin's k.o. of Nate "The Rock" Quarry is still one of the most epic and brutal k.o.'s ever. Should be included in any top 10 imho...

The TUF one where his jaw got broke and MVP’s knockouts were by far the scariest. Life changing injuries.

If you continue hitting someone after they're out and they sustain serious damage, the one striking them should be held responsible. It isn't a game at that point

How the hell did Matt Riddle go from breaking people's jaws in just a few punches, and letting out barbarian battle cries to being Randy Orton's laid back scootering stoner partner?

When you know that some of the best fighters of the world can generate up to 2,400lbs (1088kg) of force in one punch ... that's impressive.
