Thank you!! Thank you! YOU 🫵🏿 answered my question. I was wondering why it was called wash n go. I always read comments before posting, especially when I don’t know something. This is where research comes in. I just read the comments to see what others already posted bc I was too lazy to google. Yeah, ppl are super lazy if they can’t even scroll a little to learn. Damn.
Basically that is all she is doing. Wash n Go has how fast it takes. It's the process. Wash it,add gel, comb through and twist it a little for natural hair. Relaxed hair you Wash it, blow dry it then silk press it. ( we use to call it pressing it with a pressing comb) now flat iron. Then you have to curl it. 2 different processes. That's why it's Wash and go. Not about time. It's technique. Just like what a Wash and set. Wash and put on rollers.

I stand on this. I did one successful wash n go in my life due to a random mix of 3 products : an oil, a hair butter, and probably a gel. I do not remember what I used as i wasnt evn going for a wash n go but my god i tried to recreate it with similar , and new products and never could😢. My texture keeps changing also which means you should update your products to keep up. I just keep braids in because chile..
My most successful wash n go happens every wash day as you learn what your hair likes and doesn’t like. I’ve learned that my low porosity hair doesn’t like to be piled up with products after washing because it’s already low po it’s not gonna absorb much once out of a steamy environment sooooo I make sure to shampoo twice to remove any product build up. I deep condition either every other week depending on if I’m using my in shower rinse out conditioner with protein… then( if I’m deep conditioning I will with heat outside the shower for at least 20 min) then rinse completely. Leave ins are water based just to keep my hair wet( days I’m using protein based conditioner) on the days I’m deep conditioning, I rinse out some and leave the rest in just to keep my hair manageable like a leave in (and yes I found one made for that) I apply a humectant based hard hold gel. Set under hooded dryer. Then oils hair and scalp after. Wash n go lasts me 7-14 days and if I need to refresh cause my hair may be “dry”??? All I do is spritz with water. The gel i use doesn’t make or allow my hair to frizz or budge so yea im good😅 check my page out for my proof lol

After seeing these shorts, I just bought this along with the gel to foam styling mousse…*rubs hands together* can’t wait to see what this combo will do!!!
I know I'm going to get some flack for this, but I wonder how many of those who commented this is not wash and go are white? Black women can NOT just wash their hair and go. My girls are mixed on has 4c and the other 4a. My girl with 4c could never just wash and leave her hair wet without any conditioners put in it. If she did that she would have a HUGE mess on top of her head. The style makes it LOOK like she washed it and left.
Thank you for sharing your experience! You're absolutely right, different hair textures require different care routines. What works for one person may not work for another, and it's essential to acknowledge and celebrate the diversity of hair types and needs. Our goal is to provide products that cater to a wide range of hair textures and empower everyone to embrace and care for their unique curls, coils, and waves. 🥰
My issue wasn’t doing the wash and go but the tangles and knots that would happen.. when you have 4c hair which was almost waist length keeping it stretched was the way.
For me wash and go means wash and go! Not taking a ton of product and massaging it into each section and then raking it which takes a lot of time. This is more of a wet set! I wish stylists would use the term wash and go for actual wash and go!
We need to define what a wash-n-go is. I thought you literally washed, conditioned and moisturized your hair, ran a wide tooth comb through it or stretched it out and kept it moving. Less than 30 minutes, tops! This lady looks like she got a full natural hair service to me.
You can certainly do just that! It doesn’t have to be tedious. If you want the curls to last all week, we would recommend taking a little more time to define and dry your hair. But with practice, this becomes a lot easier and faster.
@@MichebeautyBefore you add the gel, do you apply a leave-in conditioner and heat protection, or just the gel? Thanks so much... you made her hair look gorgeous!
Where are the good products that yield these results without fragrances. Speaking on behalf of migraine sufferers with sensitivity to strong scents and sometimes any scent 😩🙏🏾 this looks beautiful!
It doesnt have to! Check this simple routine that doesn't take an entire day 😅www.michebeauty.com/collections/bundles-1/products/wash-and-go-styling-bundle
I also cannot do a wash and go. All the gel flakes in my hair OR irritates my scalp then it flakes. Or its not strong enough to hold and my hair is a tangled mess. Then at the end it shrinks up and its not even worth the trouble.
Depending on your hair this can be accomplished in 5 minutes with less product but won’t last all week. But if you’re not willing to maintain your hair daily, stick to braids.
It turned out gorgeous but I feel her when she said she “can’t”. I love the look of a wash and go but, with my texture, defining the fresh washed curls is just more work than twisting my hair is 😂 I twist my sections in the shower and toss them in a bun for a day or two before wearing the twist out as long as I possibly can. _I_ can’t do a wash any go because it’s too much effort for my lazy routine but I’d absolutely let a stylist do that work
Pretty hair. When I do a wash and go...I wet it, add conditioner, moisturizer or a gel, brush through or use my fingers...then I grab my purse and leave. It dries over time...I don't use a dryer. Literally...I wash...and go. Adding dryers and such takes forever
That’s great that you found a routine that works for you! We find that air drying takes all day, especially if your hair is thick and dense. So it’s faster to sit under a hooded dryer or diffuse.
I love these interviews! Your vulnerability is infectious. Watching your channel has made me take a step back and try to make changes in my life for the better! Thank you Cassy!
This ain't a wash and go. This is full out styling the hair. Wash and go means wash and go.....a lil conditioner and out the door is what the original term was this new group defining and doing a full style and calling it wash and go
This is NOT a wash and go. Listen to then name wash and go literally means wash your hair and leave out the house. This was not done. It was washed and a bunch of other things then she go. So she was right. She can't do a wash and go
You can call this style whatever you’d like 🤗 it’s a process of defining and enhancing your natural curls. Once the hair is set, it can last all week. It took us under an hour to style. You can definitely wash and leave the house but we want the curls to last by drying it too.
Her wash and go is beautiful. The hair gel is awesome and my hair loves it. My only request is for the jars to be in bucket size please and thank you😆😁❤.
Looks beautiful but the way my kinks set up...a wash n go for one day means knots and tangle the next day and I refuse to stress my hair out like that again, I have tried multiple times and learned it's a no for me but I love it for other natural girls
I remember googling "wash and go" when I first went natural because I literally wanted to wash and go about my business. But this is what we got instead. 😂
It's a wash and go for her hair type. Other races even put products in their hair before combing and blow drying. I got the rake method from a white curly hair woman. Curly hair people white or black wash and goes look different from straight. The things they all have on common is some form of styles, combing and blow drying. Nobody is walking around with wet hair. Well, I do, but not on purpose lol.
The "wash and go" could actually be just that if some of us would stop trying to make our hair do things it doesnt naturally do. I do have a twa, but my hair has been longer before. I simply wash, condition, put a little style lotion and oil in my hand, and apply to my hair. Im done after that. I'm not applying 50 gels or creams to make my hair appear a different texture. I think that's what the wash and go was intended to be. We just make it hard.
I have mixed hair n the key is sections like she said😊 the hair is layered naturally if I apply any gel it has to be layer to layer 360 basically 😊 If you just put hair gel on the top n not through the middle piece by pies it will fro you have to do it the same way you flat iron your hair with any conditioner gel etc 😊 I would use stuff like this but the Jar is to small for every day looks That har would only do my hair 2 times pushing it 😂😂😂😂 so if your a rookie n your hair is short thus Jarvis good I’ll stick to my Dominican conditioner n spray bottle it comes in a 32 ounce jar 🫙 but like I said short hair thus har will hold you 😊
Gorgeous!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m pulling mines out today! It’s wash day! Haven’t used it in a minute. I got a back up too! 😂 Do you all put a leave in underneath when you use it? I have previously. 🤔
We don’t recommend using a leave-in as it will soften the hold and the style won’t last as long. Make sure to use a lot of water in place of a leave-in.
Ok y’all, I took your advice and didn’t use a leave in. 1st time!!! I’m kinda pleased y’all!!! My drying time was good too under my dryer!!! ❤️ Still learning!!!

No not anyone can do a wash and go. If you're hair doesn't clump together when wet it's not happening. I am that person, meanwhile my mothers and aunts hair does. I have cotton like hair that is fluffy and cloudlike and likes to be separate. Only an inch thick row in the back of my head clumps together and shows curl definition.
Love it!!! I have a few clients that I took from relaxer to natural. They thought the same until I showed them!! It is possible with the proper techniques and product 😃
Her curl pattern is so pretty i hope y’all wavy/curly/coily/kinky hair folks know your hair looks good whether you style it or not!!!!!!!!!! I can’t really relate bc my hair is pretty straight but boy i wish ppl weren’t ashamed of their hair bc of societal norms
You can name it whatever you’d like 🤣 This is the term that this type of style is commonly referred to. If you’d like to call it a wash and set, that works too! However, once your hair is set on day 1, it can last you all week, which allows you to just go.
A wash and go is going through the shampoo process which means you wash and condition. This also means if you choose to deep condition you can do so which would be very beneficial seeing as moisture is key in achieving definition. If you have kinky textured curls and don’t apply a leave-in, or moisturizing cream, mousse or gel that’s crazy. You apply product according to your hair needs that also determines how little or much more product is applied. Most people air dry but if you have somewhere to go you don’t want wet hair so that’s where the diffuser comes in and you have a better chance to manipulate the hair and lock in your best curls. It also helps to train the curls making your wash and go easier to achieve and maintain…and yes I’m licensed for over a decade

You can call this style whatever you’d like 🤗 it’s a process of defining and enhancing your natural curls. Once the hair is set, it can last all week.
I volunteer my 4c medium density low porosity hair 🙋♀️I’ll even bring snacks!
Sounds great!
Amanda you are loved by the people who love our people. Thank you for always being ten toes down for our people ✊🏿
After seeing these shorts, I just bought this along with the gel to foam styling mousse…*rubs hands together* can’t wait to see what this combo will do!!!
Oh we love this! We would recommend using them separately to get the best results. Let us know if you have any questions, we are here to help!
@@Michebeauty is the mousse moisturizing? I've had horrible experience with mousse.
I don’t think most people in these comments are White imo
My issue wasn’t doing the wash and go but the tangles and knots that would happen.. when you have 4c hair which was almost waist length keeping it stretched was the way.
That ain't a wash and go. That's a wash and full style
You can call this style whatever you’d like 🤗 it’s a process of defining and enhancing your natural curls. Once the hair is set, it can last all week.
Can I see this on a super thick 4c- 4e hair.
4e???
@@shesarrived7690 girl my hair is pass 4c. 😂😂😂😂😂🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️. My hair is past that hair chart. I’m laughing but I’m so serious. 😞😞😞
For me wash and go means wash and go! Not taking a ton of product and massaging it into each section and then raking it which takes a lot of time. This is more of a wet set! I wish stylists would use the term wash and go for actual wash and go!
We love that you found a routine that works for you! 🤗
The amt of product is crazy 🤷♀️
I disagree... -A hairstylist
When I first went natural, I was confused on the amount of work that goes into a wash and go. The name is definitely misleading. 😂
@@eboni1111yeah I always assumed it just meant shampoo and conditioner and maybe pick your fro out while it’s still wet 😭
We need to define what a wash-n-go is. I thought you literally washed, conditioned and moisturized your hair, ran a wide tooth comb through it or stretched it out and kept it moving. Less than 30 minutes, tops! This lady looks like she got a full natural hair service to me.
Exactly
You can certainly do just that! It doesn’t have to be tedious. If you want the curls to last all week, we would recommend taking a little more time to define and dry your hair. But with practice, this becomes a lot easier and faster.
@@MichebeautyBefore you add the gel, do you apply a leave-in conditioner and heat protection, or just the gel? Thanks so much... you made her hair look gorgeous!
Those highlights are BANGING from that beautiful golden brown halo!!! 👑👑👑
Wonderful job!!!💫💫💫
Where are the good products that yield these results without fragrances. Speaking on behalf of migraine sufferers with sensitivity to strong scents and sometimes any scent 😩🙏🏾 this looks beautiful!
We need to change the phrase “wash and and” cause ain’t nobody goin anywhere. It takes forever 😂
It doesnt have to! Check this simple routine that doesn't take an entire day 😅www.michebeauty.com/collections/bundles-1/products/wash-and-go-styling-bundle
i mean it’s usually done in the shower
Finally found someone with the same curl pattern as me! It’s like a zig zag 4a/4b.
Hope this helped! ☺️
I also cannot do a wash and go. All the gel flakes in my hair OR irritates my scalp then it flakes. Or its not strong enough to hold and my hair is a tangled mess. Then at the end it shrinks up and its not even worth the trouble.
My fave is LUS. Any oil + moisturizer may help idk hr specific issues. Scalp ooling / rosemary + not washinng it so often may help ❤ good luck ✌️🙏
😂😂 I love it. The were A LOT of styles I didn't think my hair could do. I love when someone takes time to show us otherwise. Beautiful!
We're so glad! Hope you try it! ☺️
As a white woman im always so jealous of black womens hair. Its so beautiful! Mines so flat 😢
Girl, go and get you an old school roller set. Volume for days!
Try volumizing products and styling! ☺️
That's not wash and go. That's wash, portion sections, put product, rake, defuse... I'm already tired. Sticking with my braids
You can call this style whatever you’d like 🤗 it’s a process of defining and enhancing your natural curls. Once the hair is set, it can last all week.
Depending on your hair this can be accomplished in 5 minutes with less product but won’t last all week. But if you’re not willing to maintain your hair daily, stick to braids.
Her hair looks really cute. ♥️
_I_ can’t do a wash any go because it’s too much effort for my lazy routine but I’d absolutely let a stylist do that work
that makes sense! def requires a but of practice to get the technique down and make it easy ☺️
Agreed…this is not a wash and go! Carry on😂😂😂
Beautiful curls! And the coloring is gorgeous 😍😍
Thank you for your kind words! 🥰
I never had a wash and go either. I really want to try it out.
You definitely should try it with our Tropical Oasis gel! Practice makes progress 🤗
She can't do a wash and go
Its more of an upgraded version of wash n go ☺️
Her hair is beautiful!! 10/10
We’re glad you think so! Thank you! 🌟😊
All the time it took to do her hair... that is not a wash and go. That's a wash, spend 45mins- 1hr styling and separating, blow dry and go.
Her curls are gorgeous.
So beautiful 🤩
So pretty! Severe hair envy here!
Me too
Thank you so much! Your kind words mean a lot to us.☺️
I wish this wasn't called a Wash N Go. It literally takes 30-60 mins, depending on hair length. There's nothing quick about it.
Looks beautiful but the way my kinks set up...a wash n go for one day means knots and tangle the next day and I refuse to stress my hair out like that again, I have tried multiple times and learned it's a no for me but I love it for other natural girls
Wash and go means just that. You had to section hair, seperate curls, gel each section, etc...... That's not wash and go😂
I remember googling "wash and go" when I first went natural because I literally wanted to wash and go about my business. But this is what we got instead. 😂
But the results are so worth it!!!!
I think it's has to do with the mimicking of the "wash and go" look.
@@cheleblee4994 😅 no it ain't!
Her hair is beautiful ❤
We’re glad you think so! Thanks for the lovely comment. 😍🌸
We are definitely trying to bring the simplicity back to wash day with our 3 step system 🙌🖤 Have you tried it yet?
I have mixed hair n the key is sections like she said😊 the hair is layered naturally if I apply any gel it has to be layer to layer 360 basically 😊
If you just put hair gel on the top n not through the middle piece by pies it will fro you have to do it the same way you flat iron your hair with any conditioner gel etc 😊 I would use stuff like this but the Jar is to small for every day looks
That har would only do my hair 2 times pushing it 😂😂😂😂 so if your a rookie n your hair is short thus Jarvis good I’ll stick to my Dominican conditioner n spray bottle it comes in a 32 ounce jar 🫙 but like I said short hair thus har will hold you 😊
her hair is beautiful and so is the color
Gorgeous!!! ❤️❤️❤️ I’m pulling mines out today! It’s wash day! Haven’t used it in a minute. I got a back up too! 😂 Do you all put a leave in underneath when you use it? I have previously. 🤔
No leave in will alter your results & break the gel cast. The leave in is built into the products 💯
@@tanyawins Yesssss 🙌🏽 See you got this Tanya 💁🏽♀️ Over time you will get better & better on your technique 😉 Plus drying time is cut down by alot the less products layered on 💯💓
Her hair is gorgeous and she’s adorable
Wash and go just sounds so easy. It’s not easy it’s wash and do allll of those sections - then go. I need it to take only a few minutes. It’s too much for me to do myself. Hers turned out great though!
You can call this style whatever you’d like 🤗 it’s a process of defining and enhancing your natural curls. Once the hair is set, it can last all week. The more you do it, we promise it will become easier and faster.
All of us dont have 4a/4b hair... or likes gel.. BUT this did come out really nice
Ofcourse! We also showcase other products and other hair types. Thanks for watching. 🙏💖
They never said that this was a tutorial for everyone or that it works for everyone so idk why you assumed that? Its for the people with hair like hers you find what works for you watch a different video of theirs that has a hair type like yours
I wouldn't say wash and go, but it did turn out beautifully.
Thanks a lot! We're happy you like the results. 😊💖
Can we talk about how gorgeous yall queens are?
Your support means a lot to us. Thank you! 🥰
@@Michebeauty of course! I love seeing queens happy and thriving❤️

Yay!! We are happy to hear that!
Beautiful ❤
I’m sending this to my daughter-n-law for her and my granddaughters💕🙌🏽
these ladies so loving and kind
Thank you! We try 😊
I’m just too lazy to put in the work 😭
The more you do it, the better and faster you will get.
Anybody can do a wash and go. Most people just lack the patience and understanding of what products will work best for their hair texture.
The room was so quiet. 😬 She seemed like she didn’t like it.
Her hair texture, color and style are absolutely GORGEOUS AND BEAUTIFUL 🎉🎉❤
The stylists hair was super cute 😍...& the curls she brought out on the client were on pt.
Thank you so much! So happy you liked it! 😊
I'm next!!!! Mee tooo
Me too
Beautiful 😍❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thank you! Have you tried our products yet?
Wow she’s so pretty
Her skin color with the hair combo- whoever did the hair color set her up for success
😍
We agreed! The color EATS 🤩🖤
Her hair looks sooo pretty! Those curls 🥰💙
I think they should give it a new name- Wash and Wait 🤣🤣
Wash n define ☺️
That wasn't no wash and go. 😂😂😂
Very pretty though.
You can call this style whatever you’d like 🤗 it’s a process of defining and enhancing your natural curls. Once the hair is set, it can last all week.
I'm exposing a catfish too.. you don't have to go to the shop to do this either.. it's easy at home hair styles..
Love it!!! I have a few clients that I took from relaxer to natural. They thought the same until I showed them!! It is possible with the proper techniques and product 😃
Also, water is our hairs’ best friend. Our hair should ideally get wet everyday but if you can do 5 of 7 you’ll see an immediate difference.
How is that a wash-n-go??? Hint: IT'S NOT!
The girls that get it, get it 😂🤦🏾♀️.
The heat makes it easier to dry and for it to last longer but you can forgo it an call this a wash n go :)
Her hair are so beautiful! I just love the small curls 😍
We agree!! Have you tried the Tropical Oasis gel? 🖤
“Hey, check out this wash and go!”
Proceeds to break out the blow dryer😂
So it dries evenly and style lasts longer. So an upgraded wash n go ☺️
@@Michebeauty I dig it.
Where is this salon?
We don’t operate as a salon. We do hair demonstrations to show how to use our products 🖤
Once you know your porosity you can find the best products to bring your pattern out
My "wash & go's" were more like wash & hold on for 3-4hrs, but baaaby did my curls curl & my coils coil.
That’s not a wash-n-go!!!!
The heat makes it easier to dry and for it to last longer but you can forgo it an call this a wash n go :)
But, thats not a wash n go. If it takes more than 5 min, its not wash n go
You can name it whatever you’d like 🤣 This is the term that this type of style is commonly referred to. If you’d like to call it a wash and set, that works too! However, once your hair is set on day 1, it can last you all week, which allows you to just go.
You wash your hair in under 5min? 😂😅
@gega7 😂 No...the "go" part should be under 5min
The curls are already there but she used gel to define the curls more and they are more defined.
Yep!
The term "wash & go" needs to be rethought... cuz this ain't that lol
You can name it whatever you’d like 🤣 This is the term that this type of style is commonly referred to. If you’d like to call it a wash and set, that works too! However, once your hair is set on day 1, it can last you all week, which allows you to just go.
I don't know how to do a wash and go either. Tried it one time. It looked a hot mess. The shrinkage was very real.
Aww! It came out so pretty 😍❤️❤️!
I love it! I don’t know who told us we needed to do those twist outs! It never really looked like our naturally curly hair! But with the right product/ love our hair will do its thing!
Yes! You said it perfectly
Your hair doesnt need to be curled and super define to be beautiful. Your natural hair just the way it is is perfect.
Ofcourse! And one can style it depending on their preferences :)
Beautiful. Unfortunately, l tried for two years and had my hair professionally done, but my curls wouldn't stay. I also have two distinctive curl patterns, which makes it a bit difficult to maintain more than a day. The best thing l can do for my hair is wait for it to grow and do a twist out.
Baby my hair curls up majorly different from section to section so I feel her😔
I know what you mean 😅
I respect anyone with curly hair 😂 I have naturally curly and wavy hair and it's a curse at times y'all are so gorgeous
