And I love how the show reminds you of that fact: Starscream- "I'm the one who offlined Cliffjumper!" Miko- *grabbing Starscream* "Big whoop, I snuffed Hardshell"
Yeah. If I had to rank the humans from prime, it would be this. 1. Miko 2. Jack 3. Agent Fowler 4. Rafael/Raphael (I don’t know what the official spelling is for this guy.)
Also, I think Fowler is one of the few human characters with an actual reason to fight alongside the autobots and even on his own without being too much rara American military propaganda. While he is capable hand-to-hand, being a former Ranger IIRC, he's also the air support and pilot of Team Prime, which is a niche none of them can fill. He's been captured and withstood interrogation by decepticons. He's a support character in the best sense of the word, rarely taking the spotlight from the main cast but still contributing when he needs to.
Sari is one of the BEST 'human' characters we've had. The twist was brilliant, and I think we needed more of her, really. RIP, Derek J Wyatt, you did a brilliant job. I LOVED Miko, she's brilliant. The fact she had such huge character growth, and boundless enthusiasm made her very entertaining to watch. Part of the problem with Raf is that he's not got much development, and use for his intelligence is kinda limited when you've also got Ratchet there. Would have been really good to have his smarts used in other ways.
Honestly I think the idea of a human in the Wreckers could be really cool. Honestly, a series that focuses on Miko or Verity or hell even having both of them with a buddy cop dynamic of naive newbie and rugged veteran could be a neat little animated miniseries.
When Miko first wore the Apex Armor and started pounding on Star Scream is still one of my favorite moments in Transformers. I'm gonna watch it again here on RUclips after finishing this video. I still wish that she'd appear in a comics or something.
I actually don't disagree with you about Miko at all, it's just that I would put her and Jack on even footing. I mean, Jack is the first human to set foot on Cybertron in that continuity, and you just know that Miko was back in the base wishing it was her. So you have the one chosen by destiny, and the one who kicks in destiny's door and demands a seat at the table. It is true however that Raf was the weakest of the 3. I feel like he was meant to be that stereotypical "man in the chair" who could help with hacking and helping cybertronian and human technology being compatible, but because of that he didn't have as much of an active role as the other two. If it wasn't for the fact that he was the only one who could understand Bee's "beep speak" he probably wouldn't have had much reason to interact with the rest of the cast at all.
Imagine if a customer came out of the bathroom, only to find TJ ranting about Humans in the Transformers franchise at a computer. We are a passionate fanbase, dammit
Actually I agree with you about Miko. I didn't like her at first, but she grew on me as she's showed actual depth and growth. To the point where, as you say, she earns her place with the Wreckers, and having her get the Apex Armor seems deserved. On the other hand, I feel that you're not giving Raf enough credit. You only mention his bond with Bumblebee, and not with Ratchet, where he was not only a partner and assistant to him, but also offering him encouragement and hope when he was ready to give up. Also, Marissa Fairborne doesn't make the list, but Billy and Fred do, despite them contributing NOTHING?!
“Any minute now, you’ll be nothing more than Sentinel Prime’s bitch!” That’s honestly the only line from Dark Of The Moon Carlee (I’m assuming I misspelled her name) that I even really remember from her. Needless to say, she’s not too high up on my own list.
That was a great moment, and would have actually been even better if Mikaela had said it. Really this is proof that Megan Fox should have been in Dark of the Moon, and that the character she portrayed should have been explored more (especially the dichotomy of her having a sketchy past and Sam basically having everything handed to him).
You should have included my boy Glen from the first movie. He was funny af while also being useful. I think they should have kept him around for the other movies too.
Perhaps it’s a testament to his terribleness that TJ left Daniel off the list. It’s like he was so bad that he didn’t even deserve the ranking of “Flea Market”.

I liked kicker. His usefulness may have been forced, but at least he was useful. Man's is the only Human that can say he actually swung a starsaber at Galvatron. Took down terrorcons, he never really overstepped his bounds and actually takes down a full Decepticon. His drama was also earned in my opinion. Kid was trapped in empty space with no help after being forced to participate and move to a completely different world where he's an ant. That image of him looking up at the autobots, with their faces shaded out and their eyes glowing is burned into my mind. I'd shit my pants if I saw that as a kid. IMO Epps and Lennox should've been the main character of the live action movies.
Hinestly, I would live a tf cartoon that uses Sir Edward as the primary human protag. Him and Cogman and a rotating cast of transformers going on adventures all around the world. Going as far back as ww2.
Sad to not see any of the RescueBot humans on the list they were great I think. The show it self is pretty good despite being for a younger audience then the other shows
@@warknightxl2167 I don't think anything is. I just meant Rescue Bots is aimed younger the Normal and you would think it be like more little kid show given the toy line but it really doesn't feel like it
You didn't mention Raoul who was prominent enough in G1 to have a few episodes where he actually replaced Spike as the main human for his episodes. Chip was in a few episodes but was Spike's friend so it was never just him. And Raoul was always the main human in every Tracks focused episode so he even had his own team of Autobots that wouldn't really get screen time unless he was there. Except for Blaster who got more screen time in season 3 which Raoul wasn't in but prior to the movie Blaster was also only in Raoul episodes. You also skipped the humans from RID2001 and went straignt to Armada. There's only 3 prominent human characters in that series. Koji who's the main child character for the series. His dad who gets kidnapped by Megatron in the first episode and doesn't really get a lot of screen time after that. And a random woman who's usually driving a red sports car as a running joke that Side Burn is obessed with red sports cars even though it's not even a Transformer. She also drives the truck Scourge scanned to get his vehicle mode and she was scanned along with Optimus Prime and the Truck making Scourge part human. Pretty significant for a character who mostly only existed as a running joke. Alexis I would put a lot lower. She's the same age as the boys but acts like their mother the entire series and I hate that. Lori has the same problem but at least one of the kids is younger to justify her being more mature but it's still annoying when it feels like a girl's only personality trait is "mother" especially when she isn't even old enough to be a mother. I feel like they just don't know how to write teenage girls. And there are a lot of Animes that have teenage girls with similar personalities but the boys in those she are typically more mature as well so they come off as just responsible rather than like they're babysitting boys their own age. Also with Miko, she wouldn't be a problem if her character would actually LEARN and grow as the series progressed. The reason she became a problem is that it turned into a repeating cycle of nearly get everyone killed, appoligize, promis not to do it again, and then do the exact same thing again in the next episode. She never really matured even after Bulkhead got her due to her own stupidity she still didn't change and kept repeating the same mistakes. Her behavior shifted from a dumb kid making a mistake to her maliciously trying to get everyone killed. And her voice actress actually did a shout out for my RUclips channel once and I use that clip of her in several of my videos but I still can't stand the character despite having a personal link to her actress.
@@Undrave There's a couple more than that. It's still a really small number compared to the rest of the series but quality over quantity. His episodes are the best of the entire series. At least in my opinion. I do wish he was in more of the series or if maybe he had gotten his own spin off. Cause his episodes did kind of feel like backdoor pilots to a potential spin off that never really took off. And I've always kind of liked the idea of multiple shows taking place in the same universe following different casts of characters as it allows for more focus on bigger casts where characters like Tracks can actually get a spotlight rather than fade into the background like he did for the rest of the series. Tracks I think was in 2 other episodes outside of the Roaul episodes but he doesn't even speak in the episodes Raoul isn't a part of, he's only in the background for a few seconds. I heavily associate Tracks with Raoul due to them shareing screen time in those few spotlight episodes. Oddly Spike and Bumblebee were my favorites as a kid, no idea why since there's nothing really special about them other than being the primary characters for the majority of the series so everyone always remembers them more but rewatching the series as an adult despite how few episodes they actually have Raoul and Tracks ended up being my favorite characters. Though if they ever modernize Tracks again I could go for a cooler sounding voice. Something along the lines of Armada Blurr I think would fit his design better. Or maybe a middle ground between the two.
Ah yes, Junko. She tried to get away from the war but the war followed her, even when she was taking a cruise on a ship in the middle of the ocean. It would be hard to place the running joke.
Interesting list and topic! I'd love to see a "Part 2" of this, including G1 Daniel & Raoul, the Masterforce cast in nigh total, Jan of Victory, plus Koji, Kelly, and Dr Onishi from RID 2001. There's also Rescue Bots too, of course, to fill out a full list. Daniel was pretty prominent in G1 season 3, having several episodes around him. Then he became Arcee's headmaster partner, or Wheelie's best friend in the Headmasters series. As someone who favours Tracks and his episodes, Raoul's one of my fave humans. Though he doesn't have much screen time, he takes Spike's human protag. role when he is there. While SuperGod Masterforce's exclusion makes sense, since the list is pretty big as is let alone adding in an entire cast, I feel Star Saber's adopted son: Jan was interesting enough. He didn't do much in Victory, but has a rather unique story among human characters. While Kelly is just comic relief, and Koji is present for human contact/relations.. Dr Onishi had research information that was vital to RID 2001's story. He was abducted by Megatron, is responsible for discovering the 'O Parts', all which led to Galvatron's transformation, plus Fortress Maximus. Did see the description saying that preschool characters are excluded, but maybe the Burns family could make it into a Part 2 of Main Human chars in Transformers media.
Kicker was done so much better in the Dreamwave Energon comic, Furman did not have him hog the screen like anime did. Also he did things with the Armada human cast in the Energon.
You forgot the Burns family from Rescue Bots which by the way will really help you out with the collection of human villains because they have one human villain that is super beyond all reasons sadly the villain was only voiced by Tim Curry one season also I'm not including HD Wells it's just too broken besides he only shows up in like two episodes and the second one is him literally grabbing the villain that I'm just talking about and taking them back in time creating a unusual timeline rotation because it's not a Time paradox it's because it's not him going back in time and this is a version that gets cryogenically frozen and becomes a villain no this is the version of him that was reformed that was originally Frozen taking the long way to get to the Future then taking a time machine to go into the past where he currently is Frozen inside a box and now I have gone cross-eyed and this is the reason why I say Rescue Bots was a really good series.
I think with Izzy the worst thing isn't that she doesn't do much, but that there is a very obvious thing they *could* have done with her that they didn't. Throughout the Yeager Duology, it is made clear that humanity have turned on the Autobots, specifically because of Chicago (conveniently forgetting that they threw the Autobots off planet before the attack) to the point that humanity are more willing to cut a deal with the guys who tried to wipe them out 4 times than they guys who basically sacrificed their own species' survival to save earth (I actually enjoyed TLK, but this still makes my blood boil). Both Savoy and whatshisname from TRF have 'lost someone in Chicago' as their backstory. And then there's Izzy, who lost both her parents and functionally whatever her life was back then in Chicago, which, if we assume the time between the films IRL equates to the time skip in the films was when she was about 10-12 and instead of indiscriminately hating Transformers, she actively bonds with Canopy and Squeaks. She shouold have been an important character in being a direct opposition to the stance taken by TRF, showing that there are still humans that care about the Autobots, perhaps convince us that they should still bother protecting earth, but instead after Cogman shows up she's thrown away and, even when she's on the Osprey with TRF Guy she never pulls the 'I have more reason to hate them than you but I don't' card.
I would’ve ranked Daniel and Marissa, the former having the Rebirth and the Headmasters series as well as the Ultra Magnus birthday episode as his standout appearances, the latter lacking in specific adventures I can recall right now but still a solid character and bolstered by a dynamic with Thundercracker in IDW much how Daniel’s personal bonds with Arcee, Sixshot, and Wheelie help him out
Little disappointed you didn't put koji onishi from transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001) on the list as it was one of the main series I grew up with before armada and I loved it
I pretty much agree with you through and through but I tend to be a bit kinder to Mikeala as I found her to be far more likeable and proactive than Sam. Oh and Fowler would be top tier just for being voiced by Ernie Hudson.
I agree with you that everyone else disagrees with you about Miko. I couldn't stand her character. Bottom of the barrel for me. Sari however is one one the best "human" characters in all of Transformers. I'd like to see a different version of her character come back in a future iteration of Transformers.
And Ed’s VA was Carlos, Energon Ironhide and Kira Yamato. Double D’s VA was Coby and Athrun Zala. To continue the Gundam related VAs, Brad Swaile (Kicker) voiced both Amuro and Setsuna while Cybertron Hotshot’s VA, Kirby Morrow voiced Trowa Barton, Rey Za Burrel, and just to add, Cole from Ninjago.
Sari is so cool, even her upgrade. also her dad upgrades her even more. her dad put a wing on her back. so she could fly. since Decipticons have flying robots, those Jets. Autobots prepared for it. even Prime upgraded, got the jetpack wings. also the motorcycle ninja guy, is also upgraded and can fly. Sari have 2 saber blades on both arms. even her feet. she can skate around with feet blade. also she helps autobots tho. Ratchet is being useless medic because of Sari. Sari's key is the one repairs the autobots so quickiest. ever since that Key is so useful than old fashion way. Also she only good human transformer. unlike Alice from TF2 Revenge of Fallen. But Sari is cooler than Alice.
Couple of things: 1, You confused Fred's VA with Carlos'. 2, No Daniel, Koji, or anyone from Super-God Masterforce or Victory. And 3, I'd put Lori above Sam. Other than those, not a bad list.
I'd say I mostly agree with your list. The only things I'd change is maybe swap the Prime and Animated humans. I generally found Miko, Jack, and Raf more interesting than Sari and her dad. They're certainly likable, but I personally feel like they didn't make that much of an impact on me. I'd say all the Prime and Animated humans would be in "Premium Price." I'd also dump all the live-action movie characters except Simmons, Charlie, Memo, and Burns in "Flea Market."
Nice list TJ. However I think you put Russel a bit too high. Misha contributed way more than Russel did. Misha was crucial to the Miranda II's operation. Plus Misha desires a peaceful application for her Energon research but understands the Autobot's mission to defeat the Decepticons. Even more so, Misha met Alpha Q and helped convince the Quintesson to aid them against the Decepticons.
Miko is one of the few non-military humans with confirmed Cybertronian kills. Think about that.

That image of him looking up at the autobots, with their faces shaded out and their eyes glowing is burned into my mind. I'd shit my pants if I saw that as a kid.
IMO Epps and Lennox should've been the main character of the live action movies.
"But what about Masterfor-" *Sniper shot*
Optimus and Cade had more chemistry than Cade and Vivian
I think Raoul is only in two episodes?
I haven't watched the video yet but if Simmons isn't S tier I'm throwing a riot
Ok A tier will suffice.
Brad Swaile is Amuro Ray, Kicker and Light Yagami.
Probably one of the most legendary dub actors ever.
Sari is my all time favorite human character. Other favorites include the masterforce cast Ginrai, Minerva, etc.
I’m amazed you missed Daniel, or the JG1 humans.
No Supergod Masterforce? I know it was a Japanese series, but there's really no reason not to include them.
No victory either.
I always wanted a Wheelchair Transformer with a Chip Chase figure.
I would’ve ranked Daniel and Marissa, the former having the Rebirth and the Headmasters series as well as the Ultra Magnus birthday episode as his standout appearances, the latter lacking in specific adventures I can recall right now but still a solid character and bolstered by a dynamic with Thundercracker in IDW much how Daniel’s personal bonds with Arcee, Sixshot, and Wheelie help him out
You said no villains but Superstar actor Shia LaBeouf is an actual cannibal!
Little disappointed you didn't put koji onishi from transformers: Robots in Disguise (2001) on the list as it was one of the main series I grew up with before armada and I loved it
agent fowler is automatically holy grail
Sari and Chip are great, but Glen's cousin is my holy grail.
Very fun idea!
Let’s be honest
We all know that Agent Fowler is the best.
I pretty much agree with you through and through but I tend to be a bit kinder to Mikeala as I found her to be far more likeable and proactive than Sam. Oh and Fowler would be top tier just for being voiced by Ernie Hudson.
I agree about Miko
What about Koji from Robots in Disguise 2001? Now I very well could be mistaken about your rules. I cannot remember if Koji made a big impact.
Can you rank every Deluxe Bumblebee toy from worst to best
Gotta love Rule 34 in regards to Jack X Arcee.
I know we all hate him, but
Daniel?! Where?!
I agree with you that everyone else disagrees with you about Miko. I couldn't stand her character. Bottom of the barrel for me.
Sari however is one one the best "human" characters in all of Transformers. I'd like to see a different version of her character come back in a future iteration of Transformers.
Well, technically Eddy's VA was Freddy not Ed's. And when I started watching Ed Edd n Eddy it was super obvious.
@@julianangelogarcia Wow so all three were a part of it. Kirby Morrow I know from the Ninjago fan in me (RIP).
Spike will always be Holy Grail tier by himself in my book, but I’m probably biased 💯💜🦾🤖
2:30 I figure the other Autobots taught him. ;) I love Sparkplug.
Because they were left off for understandable reasons, I would put the Burns family at retail price with Charlie Burns at Premium Price.
You definitely forgot about the humans from Rescue Bots.
Couple of things: 1, You confused Fred's VA with Carlos'. 2, No Daniel, Koji, or anyone from Super-God Masterforce or Victory. And 3, I'd put Lori above Sam. Other than those, not a bad list.
Hey TJ, what about Koji from the '01 RID series, where would you put him on your list?
Wondering the same.
The one thing Raph does is provide representation for folks with ASD in the franchise.
I really hope that chip chase comes back in a Transformers series in the future. Or, a character like him with a different name.
Why do every single one of these lists skip Masterforce? The humans are main characters in that show!
To be fair to Sam, he is less annoying than Megan Fox's actual current boyfriend.
Technically, you’re talking about Colby, not Bud. Bud, was the youngest of the three Cybertron kids.
Considering season 3 is set 20 years after season 2 sparkplug was already quiet old so the chance of him dying between seasons 2 and 3 is possible
