Had a ton of fun at this tournament! Thought I'd clear up my thoughts on the match and some of the rules interactions and takebacks that I allowed. For background, I'd played 3 matches with my deck before the tournament, and 3 more before this match, so 6 total. I played against Goblins once but not the RB version. In this match, I didn't know what my opponent was playing before we sat down. At 4:40 you can see me laughing about the Flunkies. It's a bad spell, so I don't really want to counter it, but my two counterspells were both Mana Leak. I don't know the full contents of my opponent's deck, but I'm pretty sure he has Cabal Therapy, so I like getting down to just one of each spell against that, and I also don't want to take hits from the Flunkies if he has creature lands or some bad haste creatures. Plus at the time I only had one Blue source, and I didn't want to get Ported off it and be unable to counter anything. In hindsight, I probably should have just let this go. At 6:25 we see the downside of my Flunkies Mana Leak. I'm out of counterspells already, so I don't have an answer to Ringleader if he slams it. I just kill his Port so he can't cast a 4 drop. After top decking and slamming the Humility shortly after, I assume I've basically got this game locked up with a Factory or two. I'm not aware of the Burning Wishes, so I ended up playing the game a little slower than I maybe should have. At 8:15 my opponent tried to cycle to kill my Factory thinking it was a 1/1. I let him take back his attack and go all the way back to his first main phase. He played another goblin before attacking, and I didn't block because I didn't want to lose my Factory to the cycling. Probably shouldn't have let him go all the way back as I think doing more than undoing the attack confused the commentators. During sideboarding, they comment that I should take out the 4 Standstills. I'm not sure that's true against BR goblins, but they have more Premodern experience than I do. I like to have Standstill against Therapy decks, and they have a lot of card advantage that's hard for me to keep up with if my only draw spells are Fact or Fictions. I boarded out 2 of my Standstills, my 2 artfiact/enchantment removal, 1 Prohibit, 1 Impulse, and 1 blue card I can't remember for 2 CoP: Red, 4 Blasts, and 1 Enlightened Tutor. I think I should probably have left in that mystery blue card and only brought in one CoP. Possibly could keep the other counters and cut more Standstills, but I still kind of like having 2. I should note that I'm totally not expecting the Dralnu's Crusades. In the early turns of the second game, I just have tons of counters and a Fact or Fiction, so I just want to counter all the early plays so I don't have to worry about my life total. I have the Hydroblast, so I feel pretty safe about it even if I can't FoF until 5 lands. At 33:55 I'm in for a rude awakening that Dralnu's Crusade makes the Goblins Black only, not Black in addition to their other colors. Not sure I would have blocked differently anyway, but I thought I'd pretty much locked this one up barring an Anarchy. At 35:00 there's some rules confusion from the booth, but this one is pretty straightforward (and TeamJbro points it out). I activate a Factory, and he Ports it in response BEFORE it's a creature. I activate a different Factory and use the one that's about to be tapped to pump it. It ended up not mattering because I had another Factory back that could have also pumped, but I wanted to clear that one up. At 39:45 he named Wrath of God with Cabal Therapy. I pulled it out of the graveyard to point out the name but could probably have made that clearer. At 41:35 I clearly should have cast the Blast after blocks. I just got excited and went too fast at the end of a long match. And that was that. If anyone has any questions, I'm happy to answer anything. More importantly, if you have suggestions, I'd love to hear them. Obviously there's some sloppy play here, and I'm always looking to improve.
I think the confusing part is the mtg layer ruling for Humility and Factory. The goblin player might think the Humility turned factory into 1/1? So he cycled the gemplam to kill the factory; but it turns out the Factory a 2/2.
I think my picks for COP version to use are probably the Tempest ones. Though sadly the artist for these was also the artist for a pretty infamous blue card from Legends, which takes some shine off. So instead, I think I am likely to look to get full sets of the Ice Age ones, because they are black border and the art is definitely on the funny side of terrible. Then I’d go 5th, Revised (obviously these in OD though) and lastly 7th.

Love that you took the time to comment on the match!

What is confusing? All effects are applied in order, what is confusing with that?
I love the commentary from Shane Gillis and John Lovitz 😂😂❤
