- In today’s video I visit my parents backyard where this entire channel began. I’ll give you updates on the farm and what projects we have going on, and then bring all of my baby turtles that I’ve been growing here for the last few months over to where it all began… These turtles will have plenty of room to grow for the next few months until we figure out something we want to build for them here at the farm!🐢💯🤯

I think a giant freshwater planted pond with live plants would be pretty awesome with discus and whatnot
I agree with this as long as there is a side viewing angle too cause discus are so much more admirable from a side angle
Planted community ecosystem
How about a Pond with a Vivarium, a place you could put reptiles, types of bugs if you like and plants etc. in the pond section pay homage to your roots and fill it with mollies, platys, maybe some guppies? This could be planted tank as well. There so many possibility's with these two options. could even put a dwarf caiman in there? maybe Give that snapper of yours a massive home with a glass panel for feeding??
That's the idea 💡💯
Koi
Thanks! You are doing great with the animals. I suggest checking out Clint's reptiles video from Aug 10th to help with the way the turtles are picked up❤
A giant amazon river pond, with lost of discus, angle fish and tropical fish would be crazy to see
You can't have discuss with chichlids aka angel fish
@@jenpekowsky2574yes you can haha dunno who told you that
@@JamieGonzoextra miserable today aye bud?
Dude that would be sick
@@JamieGonzo womp womp 🤷🏼♀️🤷🏼♀️🤣
I started watching your videos when you were still living there. That pond just brought me back like 6 years
I told you about the wooden crates when you first installed it and I’m sure many of your subscribers did, too.
Maybe, you should start listening to us 😂😂
Any form of critique will be treated as hateful criticism. Notice how he glossed over it when talking about the copper they found in the tests, no mentioning of the pressure treated wood. And oh yeah, what should I put in the new pond, comment down below. Clever
Your mom is so sweet I love her yall should film more together. She raised you right
Need a turtle pond with a viewing pannel in the fish building with some native fish species
Maybe even a waterfall with it

@@ImaDoggg yeah he could just do a normal pond but have glass going up to the roof for animals kinda like ants Canada
should make a pond for the turtles in the piggy pin
This is my favorite turtle video you’ve ever made. Always love when you go to the parents house.
For the next pond build you gotta make a badass naturalistic turtle pond in the building! 🔥

Depends if that was treated wood. Now a days treated wood is heat treated and infused with ionized copper solution to prevent algae growth and rott. Normally a nice hardwood or cedar would be best for long term underwater usage without treatment. There are also prefered woods that are easier waterlogging in an aquarium.
It was. The wood had that classic green tint to it when they built the crates. The comment section even called him out on it. Paul is known for cutting corners and cheaping out on materials.
Cedar wood contains natural oils that are toxic to both fish and invertebrates (red cedar oil is marketed as a natural insect repellent). It might not be a problem outdoors, but remember a tank or pond is much smaller volume than a lake (less dilution). I would also advice against using any pine tree product in a pond or tank, the terpentines in the wood are not good for the fish.
@@emilviklund7290 Sounds like a true Scandinavian. Kudos
You have to build a GIANT aquascape pond man! Lots of rock, plants etc. Would be nice to have some really cool fish like rams, cory’s, l333 pleco’s etc etc
Discus pond! You've been talking about them long enough. Now it's time to do!
Norden paik ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think the fact that you always have cool things/projects in progress keeps us entertained. We like that you show how realistic certain projects cost and take time to complete. Keep it up Paul 🤘 hope to see you in Orlando
Definitely discuss in the new pond
You should do a mountain creek/ river set up !! Have it almost tier down with good flow, and maybe with little pools visible through acrylic and stock it with like brook trout, rainbow trout anything or like a just northern crystal pond set up !!!!! Revolutionary if you ask me haha
a pond with tetras, barbs, angel fish, etc…. Or the cichlids from lake Malawi, tanganyika, Victoria. You couldn’t go wrong with either
Agree im a big tetra fan we need tetra pond 🗣🗣
I'd like to see a big fresh water pond with tons colorful fish. Love the videos PC the best on RUclips!
Paul please make a paludarium. That is a aquarium with lizzards, Gecko's, frogs so please make a lush biom with this tipe of animals
The sign looks awesome! Loving the Indian spotted turtles!
Dude I've been watching your channel since your pond builds at your parents house, love seeing all of your new stuff but You gotta do some updates from time to time of your parents ponds, they are always great to see!
9:18 i believe its finally time to bring the discus into the spotlight please that would be incredible 🙏🙏🙏🙏
A large brackish pond with live mangrove growing in it, would be alot of fun, for example archer fish spitting water at prey above water, figure 8 puffers, maybe some mudskippers if you include a land area. For a freshwater pond, some nice Tapajos orange head eartheaters, altum angels, satanopercas, huge schools of tetras and corydoras, but these would all work better in a tank with glass all the way, not just a viewing-panel.
Here's a pond suggestion a turtle pond
Agreed
Agreed
They stink so bad
Arapima pond
Ya this a godd idea
Get a huge freshwater Amazon style pond, fully aqua scaped with live plants and wood etc, and get some nice discus in there! Would be awesome
Really nice koi you should do inside in the pond
For the pond, do a native pond, and whatever you put in it you have to fish/catch from ponds/lakes/canals it would be soooo dope to go out and have to catch whatever fish you put in there
8:55 A Florida native freshwater aquarium, Large mouth bass, Striped bass, big Blue gill and Black crappies, Channel catfish, Florida gar, pickerel (Pike), Bowfin. First put in a load of native sail-fin mollies and Mosquito fish, to multiply for 24/7 food. You don't have to buy them and you can go back to doing some fishing videos to stock the aquarium.
When you rescape the shark pond make sure to make the rocks above water level so it's a muni island. It would look super cool with some mangroves growing out of it and the inverts chilling on it
When Paul cafaro upload you know it's going to be a good day ❤
Happy to hear you found that problem in testing. Love that approach! Happy reefing!
A problem that most people in the comments knew about the day he put the crates in the pond. Always do proper research.
I've noticed we haven't seen any koi fish in your videos for a long time now. Why not do a koi pond in the building? That would be awesome to watch and see what kind of kois you get.
@@JamieGonzo They didn't die, he gave them to another You-Tuber (Deermeatfordinner) for there pond.
@@JamieGonzoI like the part where you mention his koi in every video and make assumptions with no explicit evidence and act like its good enough proof
Damn that’s crazy that the Molly/Platty pond at your moms house is gone. I remember watching you build it with the little bridge across to the shed when I was in high school. Pretty dope to see how far you’ve come and makes me realize how many years I’ve been watching
Dude just because you can, you should make a really cool touch pond, like they have at aquariums, buy yours will be even butter because it’s private and not open to public hands. I know you could do something so cool, like a shallow lagoon! I think that would be so cool!
Yeah with an octopus and sea grass would go crazy
I like this!!!!!!!
Giant fresh water pound and make the it a curved front window! Like a half moon shape!
As for what to put it in there’s so many options but I would love to see a massive fresh water ecosystem with a bunch of different species and different types of plants etc!
Paul, I told you in the video of Hector building the crates that they would be a issue.
Copper will also leech into the paint on the walls, and into the sand. The entire shark tank will likely need to be emptied entirely, repainted, and new sand.
Sorry brother. I have been keeping saltwater aquariums for 25 years, and have a bit of experience.
Not just copper, arsenic is also often in treated wood. I'm not sure it will need repainting, id definitely replace the sand and rinse the tank out a few times though. New bio media as well. Definitely wouldnt risk a baby zebra shark in it for a while
Seeing the back yard where it all started brings back memories from when I first started watching your channel
do a freshwater community tank, ton of neons and angel fish along with other species would be sick!!
do a freshwater pond with lots of live plants, professional aquascaping and co2 and keep discuss and neons and other fishes in there
Community fresh water
A massive Discus pond would be cool
Freshwater turtle pond with the window and you could put some cichlids in there
Paul I have been a subscriber for about 3 or so years and I love your turtle videos so I would say at least a couple turtles in the new pond!!
Freshwater community pond with guppies, platys, angles, corydoras plecos etc
A huge turtle pond make it look all natural tropical looking way oh and also have nice tropical fishes to with aquatic plants a lot of plants 👌
Speaking out on the pond I think if you’re gonna go big, you gotta go big all the way! Cut an acrylic window in the side of the pond and a second one in the building so you can see the fish inside and out! BOOM!!😍
This was worth it for the sound of the little turtle feet in the chilly bin. Pittle, pattle, they are sooooo cute. 😊
You should do a tidepool pond. Basically have a wave system and most of the creatures you would have would be stuff you find in your tidepool videos.
There are now so many beautiful invasive fish in Florida now that we might as well learn to love them. A huge pond with all of the exotics you can catch would be awesome! I would love to watch you hunt and catch them in Florida.
Should definitely make the new pond a freshwater community since you already have a predatory pond. Should stay away from cichlids
Yea like with turtles and fish
You should do a Community Fresh water tank with Plants, Tetras, Angelfish, Barbs, Mollys and Plattys.
Live coral pond would be epic!! Expensive! But the end result would possibly be the best looking pond in the fish building!!!
I remember the videos at your mom's! Man how time flies were all growing up together!
I think you should create a massive turtle Amazon pond that has loads of plants and rocks
Been a subscriber since the molly pond days its crazy to see how far everything has come. W videos !😎
Paul it’s Magic Mike listen, the lobster cages look very nice. The only thing is you have to make them out of PVC plastic material that looks like wood and it does not release any toxic residue for the water
paul i was gonna say make the pond a like hawaiian garden theme and have top dollar koi in it but honestly do that at the factory building. love the videos bro
You should make that pond like filled to the brim with plants and you should just put neon fish in the pond
Looking great😊. On the new fresh pond I think you should either go crazy with a dwarf gator, or crazy with a habit of friendly, amazing, unusual, and fabulous colored fish.......
The turtles 🐢 🐢 are very clean i love that they're are no green allergy growth growing on them 👍🏽
For the indoor pond in the fish building I think you should go freshwater and also do koi fish if it’s that big. Once they get really big you can train to hand feed it be super cool for videos. You can get all colors from next day koi as you already know lol
18 and lost my mom in april,, seeing ur relationship with ur mom makes me happy keep doing ur thing paul 💯🫶
a giant freshwater pond with live plants and some gar, freshwater stingrays and some turtles would be so cool!!!🔥
Like the video the OG pond looks good with the waterfall in live plants
I think you should do a big river pond, throw some of your turtles in there that you put in your old pond, and/or the fly river turtle. I seen someone say a pond based on the amazon river, that would be incredible. Big school of piranhas maybe, discus.
Make a mountain river pond with trout in it. It would be cool to see fish we haven’t seen before on the channel!
Flying to Florida from Maine Friday! Can’t wait to spend the weekend in Florida and meet you and possibly Gio Saturday!
Paul Cuffaro you should do a cave pond with cave tetra and some shrimp with tons of stone. Make sure it’s dark! It would be pretty cool to see something different
I've always been hypnotized by the long shallow coral beds I've seen in your videos. The variety of shapes, sizes and colours is incredible. That's my input on the new pond/tank. And dude....how do you not have an Axolotl or sick Mantis Shrimp yet?!? Hi Mia cheers 🍻 from Sudbury Ontario Canada 🇨🇦
He has gone through 9 axolotls already, none of them survived longer than 6-8 months. He also had a mantis shrimp fo a short while, then he "gave it to a friend".
Been here since Paul's first pond at his parents house. A true success story!
Love the PC logo placement! It does look sick at night. Bet it looks even more sick further back, like with the pool in frame. I can't wait to see the deck and tiki bar/ kitchen set up when it's complete. Another anticipated update. Lol you have a list of those now lol. Sharks pond. Emu pool/ enclosure. Backyard pond liner and waterfall. And tiki deck. You've come so far my friend and I hope with everything I love you go even further. I can't get enough of watching your progress and accomplishments. I'm behind you 100%. I wish I could contribute to it. But I'm struggling right now. Maybe once I get myself established better I could. But just know that I'm rooting for you, Paul! Keep it coming man! You're awesome! ❤
I would build a shallow lagoon reef pond, with mangroves, giant clams, sea grass, macrolalgae and inshore corals like toadstool leathers. Could also get a wave machine and make a beach on one side of the tank for some crabs or other semi aquatic saltwater things. Check out the mangrove reefs of Raja Ampat for some inspiration Paul
Cheers
or maybe brackish
i think it’s time to finally make a huge discus tank, ik you love them paul!
I suggest you should make a koi pond
Pond for freshwater fish and the Indian spotted turtle 😊all planted and natural looking 🌿🐢🐟
Marbled archer fish pond for the new pond. Super cool fish that hunt for food by spraying jets of water up to 5 ft out of the water to knock down bugs.
for the freshwater pond you might consider a theme like all amazonian fish or even cooler all australian fish, but it is yours so your decision is all that matters ... the farm is looking gr8!!!
You are definitely creating your own paradise! It’s looking fantastic! Love everything you do!!
American cichlids , Dovi, or Umbee, full grown will look amazing. Plus you have enough room for those massive cichlids.
I know you said you were doing something big in the yard for your turtles, but specifically for the Indian spotted ones, or anything that you don't want/can't have escaping, rather than having them out in the dug pond (which is where I assume you're planning the turtle project) you could turn the indoor freshwater pond into a combo Fish/Turtle pond?
Maybe do 1/8th (or less? Depends on the size) of the pond as a "land" portion for the turtles, and the rest could be aquatic.
Freshwater pond; discus and some schooling fish 😊 they’re fun to have and are so pretty to look at
Cool to see the old garden again
long time man
me and my kids have been watching your content for a very long time
and will definitely continue to do so
we are from the netherlands but have been living on Bonaire for almost 10 years
the dutch caribbean is known for its beautiful diving locations and the large population of marine life
so if you ever want to dive, snorkel or big game fish between 469 different tropical fish let me know i have your back
much love from tropical Bonaire
Peaceeeee
A freshwater, with live plants, tropical community pond would be great. Lovin your videos Paul

9:20. go fresh. grow out tank for oscars. or get snake heads or maybe try to make a community tank scaped and plantet. kinda like king of diy did with his phirana tank, but without the pirhanas?
Fresh, but fancy koi
I know it's another Salt idea, but you should do an acrylic, Tide Pool Touch Interactive Pond like at an aquarium! You could have starfish, sea urchins, sting rays, hermits, lots of small things!
Do a giant rainforest esc pond with turtles & fish that can cohabit with each other!
Love the turts! Kenan would totally take the Indian spotted. Great video! 🐢
The bugs are gonna love that big bright white PC light lol.. Hope it can change colors.
I think a really nice fresh water Pond would look good along that wall
Fresh Water! Alligators, snapping turtles, bream!
You should do a dedicated koi pond. But with some show quality two ft, three feet koi. Not those from NDK. But some quality imported koi from japan. It's one of those must haves for anyone who loves freshwater fish and has the time and money for them.
Hey Paul, i think a giant freshwater community pond would be awesome! Huge angels, geophagus, plecos.. with shoals of like congo tetras and corys !
Paul, what ever you decide will be awesome as always. If its freshwater, can i recomend yoyo loaches. They are quirky fish with beautiful patterns and they love frozen blood worms. Im looking forward to watching the process of a new build.
You should make a day were you catch a ton of random fish and put them all in the shark pond to hold us over until the sharks show up. I'm talking Grunts, Snapper, the works. Then when you need to drain it for the rock scape you can catch them and put them in a holding tank when you refill it.
You really need to do a natural pond with plants coming out the top and inside the water a real scape with branches and stuff!
9:19 maybe a freshwater, aquascape ecosystem tank, similar to the vivarium series on AntsCanada. Make it a big collab with one of the aquascape creators, and then if you go fully lowtech and very ecosystem, it could be a continuous series, like what antscanada is doing. Could be a educational/experimental series.
Like imagine hundreds or thousands of different tetras, and corrycats running along the bottom. A colony of pleckos and idk what else. That should be enough space for a few more territorial species like certain cichlids.
And then you can finally have a school of discuss and angel fish as the focalpoint of the tank!
LOVE THIS TYPE OF VIDEOS !!! PAUL YOU THE BEST
Discus Planted Pond would be nice Paul❤
Fast flow tank for the new pond. Lots of rock, wood, plants coming out of the water.
always happy to see the og backyard
