교정 부탁드립니다. due to ~ 는 "~할 예정이다"가 아니라 '~ 때문에' '~에 의하여'라는 말입니다. "unemployment due to automation will grow steadily" (자동화에 의한 실업률이 성장할 것이다.) "he had to withdraw due to a knee injury" (그는 무릎 부상 때문에 기권하여야만 했다.) "오늘 숙제를 제출할 예정이니?" (Are you planning to present/submit your homework today?) 이 문장까지만 보고 갑니다. 수고하셨습니다~
제 설명이 좀 부족했던 것 같습니다. Due to가 전치사로 사용할 때 명사와 함께 ‘~때문에’ 또는 ‘~의하여’로 해석됩니다. 또 다른 용법으로 'Be 동사 + due to + 동사' 형식으로 ‘~할 예정이다’ 사용 가능합니다 예로 The plane is due to arrive at 10 AM local time. 비행기는 현지 시각으로 오전 10시에 도착할 예정이다. The construction is due to start next week. 공사는 다음 주에 시작될 예정이다. The parliamentary session is due to end in two weeks. 국회 회기는 2주 후에 끝날 예정이다. Be due to 동사 / ~할 예정이다. Hope this helps. 교정 부탁드립니다. due to ~ 는 "~할 예정이다"가 아니라 '~ 때문에' '~에 의하여'라는 말입니다. "unemployment due to automation will grow steadily" (자동화에 의한 실업률이 성장할 것이다.) "he had to withdraw due to a knee injury" (그는 무릎 부상 때문에 기권하여야만 했다.) "오늘 숙제를 제출할 예정이니?" (Are you planning to present/submit your homework today?) 이 문장까지만 보고 갑니다. 수고하셨습니다~
제 설명이 좀 부족했던 것 같습니다.
Due to가 전치사로 사용할 때 명사와 함께 ‘~때문에’ 또는 ‘~의하여’로 해석됩니다.
또 다른 용법으로 'Be 동사 + due to + 동사' 형식으로 ‘~할 예정이다’ 사용 가능합니다
예로
The plane is due to arrive at 10 AM local time.
비행기는 현지 시각으로 오전 10시에 도착할 예정이다.
The construction is due to start next week.
공사는 다음 주에 시작될 예정이다.
The parliamentary session is due to end in two weeks.
국회 회기는 2주 후에 끝날 예정이다.
Be due to 동사 / ~할 예정이다.

'오늘 제출해야 할 homework'이니까 the homework 또는 your homework라고 해야 자연스럽게 들리는 것 같습니다. Is your homework due to be submitted/turned in today? Is the homework due today?에서와 같이 your/the homework가 주어인 문장들이 저에게는 더 자연스럽게 보이네요. 그리고 이것을 질문이 아닌 statement로 바꾸면 선생님께서 댓글에서 보여주신 예문들과 같은 모양인 The homework is due to be turned in today.이고요. 상세한 댓글 다시 한번 감사드립니다.
