Do you have a favorite frame rate you like to shoot? I usually find myself shooting 30 or 60 fps and I ALWAYS edit to a 24fps timeline so I can slow down my footage a little bit ;)

Usually shoot in 30fps, seems to be plenty smooth. The video clip length is too short at 60fps?
