Heavy bottoms up turkish get ups Thick bar/ weighted pullups Heavy deadlift with no straps Direct work (grippers/ rollers/ pinch) How I built mine I’ll look into the plate flips since I liked your reasoning behind them
Weighted pullup variations are excellent. Especially if you use unconventional attachments. I was able to outgrip a pro BJJ athlete with my standard training.
Great list. For football, judo and law enforcementI recommend you add: Wet bath towel, start from one end and squeeze the hell out of that thing, get all the water out. Towel pull ups, towel curls, towel cable pulls...grabbing cloth is critical to control and winning. I love the curl bar with the balls coach, that’s awesome! Must be a great tool to teach that grip on the opponent wrist.
Been doing plate flipping for 3 months now. Great exercise as it involves a equal mix of strength and neurological connection. Start off light as you WILL drop them & be prepared as your hands will hurt in the beginning between your fingers & thumb until the skin thickens up. Your forearms & strength will grow with quick results.💯 *You can also get creative and do them in various speeds from arm to arm. Explosive is a good way of explaining.
@@travisradovan5600 So we actually had this specially built for our gym. You would likely have to contract someone to build one for you, but a cheap alternative is to drill a hole into a softball where you attach a screw hook that you can hang weights on. This will work the same idea, just different distribution of weight. Hope that helps 💪
I have a pair of baseballs attached to a 2 foot length of rope, so I can throw it over my pull up bar for some different grip, gonna try it on my ez bar today, see if I can mimic your shot put bar.
This reminds me of an exercise from USMC boot camp called chicken wing. You grab the front sight post of your M16 your hand pinching 🤏 it between your thumb and fingers, arm straight out at shoulder level at least that’s how we started😂 builds not only strength but a bonus of character too

I made a monkey’s fist out of 5/8” rope and a baseball and I chain plates together and farmers’ carry them around. It’s like that shot put bar thing. It doesn’t take long or a lot of weight before your forearms are screaming.
I realized that without grip strength you really don't have strength cuz yesterday I was at the day training deadlifts and the barbell was slowly slipping off my hands and I could only do 2 deadlifts but I knew I had more in me the only thing that limited me was my grip strength
Always been a huge fan of plate flips, at home I have done and still do the same with sandbags (ironmind cordura bags and homemade) and now also use Sandbells which are made of a stretchier material
@@ToddTommow My point was that the deadlift will strengthen your posterior chain and your grip at the same time. They are hard on your CNS, but you can recover in 48 hours as long as you're not doing silly amounts of volume.
Garage Strength Today was my first olympic weightlifting lesson with actual coach. Man, there are so many details you have to learn before you can go heavy. Amazing, really blows my mind. I'm glad I found him, proper form and technique are essential for lifetime sport longevity.

I made a wrist roller out of a thick round piece of wood that’s for hanging cloths up a shoestring and a dumbbell works pretty good
Nice. Love DIY!
That's that Dagestani training fr
This is awesome!! Great work again Dane 💪🏼💪🏼

Curls holding the ball part of the kettlebell works in place of the shot put barbell
That's a great idea.I was looking into getting a shot put bar but what you just said makes sense.
Best channel on RUclips
For a good substitute for the shot curl I'd do a dumbbell curl but hold it by the very end.
Good stuff, thanks. Never would have thought a ball grip swiss bar, but dang I want one now.
Can I curl kettle bell open hand if I don’t have a bar with ball
Oh, I need that shotput curling bar
your all exercise amazing bro

Surely deadlifting does the job on its own- if you can deadlift 500lbs, your grip is strong
