      Life is dangerous in the US, full stop. If I need an operation, I'd have to pay for it. How crazy is that?

      Daniel Price the idea that because you "need" something you have the right to take it from someone else, whether it be medical service, food or their wallet, is what *_causes_* the danger. It's sociopathic entitlement.

    • @DanielPrice
      @DanielPrice 10 лет назад +20

      ***** - You clearly don't understand how the health system here in the UK works.
      We pay tax, so that we don't have to pay for medical services.
      I imagine Americans would take offence to me calling their country barbaric, but from our perspective, it is.
      The idea that you have to pay for a life-saving operation, to us, is just not right. Poor people die, rich people live. In the UK, whether you're poor or not, you won't die for lack of money or subsequently be forced into debt afterwards.
      It's quite inhumane, really. I can't comprehend your "you should pay out of your ears for healthcare" stance. You're a person, not a consumer, when it comes to medical treatment. It's basically a human right.

    70802 is a close second. My parents moved to 70805 (Brookstown) a few years ago and there was a lot of violence. By the time we moved, some of the people who used to be there wasn't anymore. The nice lady who used to speak to us every time she saw us was dead and naked in the parking lot around the corner. 70802 isn't any better. There's so many bad things happening. It's not rare to see a bloodstain in the street. Worse yet, bits of flesh and brain.

      I'll tell you guys why there's so much crime:
      Baton rouge is only currently a good city for college students, people who work in the oil industry, and retired people who want a place to wither away.
      For everyone else it's a depressing swamp of poverty.
      So,
      1. Poverty
      2. Lack of public transportation
      3. Racism to a degree. I live here and I saw it first hand.
      4. Poor wages.
      5. Lack of mobility- transportation here is very expensive compared to the rest of the United States. Insurance is super high and there are literally no sidewalks.
      6. Absolutely nothing to do.
      7. The food that some people here eat is near poison. It's not good for long term health.
      8. Heat and HUMIDITY
      9. High cost of basic necessities like good food.
      Most of these are definitely fixable issues and I think Baton Rouge is getting a lot better with all of them.

    Education...educaton...education!! Graduate high school and then take out a small student loan and go to LSU. You have a mind. Use it. Ending your own poverty is about learning to achieve long term goals. It starts with graduation. Then a USEFUL degree. Anyone can do it. Colour is not the issue!!! It's learning new ways of thinking and building new and better habits and putting yourself around positive people!! Respect.

      Helena Monique Clarke A "small loan"? It costs $20,000 a year to go to LSU for LA residents, tuition, housing and a 12 meals a week meal plan. That doesn't include books, fees, incidentals and five other meals a week. Multiply that by at least four and you're going to need waaaaay more than a "small loan" to get to graduation. Try a community college first, get an associate degree, start a decent paying full time job, then finish up a bachelors part-time with no loans.

    There’s not a day that goes by that Baton Rouge crime makes the news. The people that cause the problems flat out don’t care what they do. There is a huge problem with criminals with guns, and road rage is another thing that is high on the list. The city as a whole gets a bad rep due to the criminal activity, but there are good aspects. Unfortunately, local government has not had success in curbing the crime rates. If you have to drive through the city, Airline Highway between I-12 and Hwy. 190 (Florida Blvd.) is one of the worst places to drive, thus a reason we have the worst vehicle insurance rates in the country. Constant construction doesn’t help either.

I've found out that all or most of the Book Sense Jobs are scarce. Employers are looking for Trade Skill's Persons, but not always in Your Town, but another State where a Particular Industry has begun to boom like New Mining, Fracking, and Oil Fields! When you have those Jobs paying high wages they need Stores, the building of Homes and Apts., Food Chains, Hospitals, Etc... But most either don't wish to pack up and take Their Children away from Friends and Schools they love, or they have a Sick Family Member and can't leave them. America must repent and return to God if She wants to survive intact, or She will perish. Its Our Choice, God or the Devil?! Much love.

    I still feel like the major issue is education. I know trying to fix it from the education upward is a lost cause but somehow we have to get education as a priority for them. More opportunities for them to entice them to educate themselves? The problem is when you were brought here as livestock you've got a huge disadvantage when it comes to rise up fully. I mean we are expecting these folks to be at the same level when we kept them at the level of beasts well beyond the time we had a advanced as a race. It's on us to help bring them to the same level instead of just giving them the disadvantage then saying figure it out yourself. That's not exactly fair it's not exactly human and for some of you, it's not very Christian.

      John Kang I’m African, I’ve been to South Africa. Baton Rouge is not safe even compared to war zones so of course it’s bad compared to Johannesburg. In Johannesburg you worry about being mugged or stabbed, in BR and other places in the US, you worry about Assault riffle bullets ripping through your house while you sleep.

    The barber gentleman was correct. There is no love anymore, one for another. There is just anger and hate. Our Creator/Designer, gives us a way out of that hate. He made us to love one another...so it is possible. It is not just this neighborhood. It is all across the world. This is an epidemic worse than Covid-19 ever thought about being. Mankind has hated each other from the beginning of time. Unfortunatley...it is not going to change. Hence...the reason Christ has to return. God claims to be Love. Christ claims to be the Truth. Without Love and Truth...we cannot survive together amongst one another. God knew this though. It is why He gave us Hope through Jesus Christ. Christ...IS...the only answer...the ONLY way out of this deplorable situation man has gotten himself into...because mankind refuses to love one another. I get it though. It is hard to love someone who has wronged you. Very difficult for those without ill will...to turn a cheek, after being robbed, or beaten, or treated poorly. But the Truth is...without love we cannot exist. And we would not exist. Eventually mankind would kill itself off. Without the return of Christ...we would definitely...doom ourselves to extinction. Love is the only answer. The only answer.

    I understand what one of the young gentlemen in this video was saying about racism...True! I am a black man in Texas who cares about my people.... But dude dont blame racism on the reason why some of the neighborhoods in Baton Rouge are corrupt. Robberies..Crime..Poverty in your city is not because of racism. That's what alot of the liars want you to think...which happen to be democrats and other black people..to keep you down. Nobody is holding you down. You are more likely to lose your life at the hands of another young black man;...than you will a black or white cop. So rise up and stop believing the hype lies!

    The best solution according to the barber is to pray more? Great idea! Pray to something that can't be proven in the least is the main thing? That's crazy shit to me. Poverty is the cause of it all. Get people to be responsible for themselves and care for others as well is what needs to be done, but you can't do that surrounded by kids having kids, weapons, drugs, lack of education, welfare as a life choice, etc. Please, if you want to pray, do it at the end of the day where you actually did something useful.

    This is what's wrong with America! Jobs aren't the problem, it's the people who are applying. They are not qualified for the job.

    • @kxngcam3576
      @kxngcam3576 6 лет назад

      Ok, I understand where you are coming from, But there are TRAININGS to teach you how to do the job, Being qualified for a job means you know what your doing, So if they would make a training program for the jobs that they would send you to maybe, just maybe, would we be able to get a job. Depending how the white man is feeling that day of course, Cause he controls everything.

    • @CJennings71
      @CJennings71 5 лет назад

      Most times when we were qualified the job went to the white guy and the black guy went home to his starving crying cbildren. After happening time and again, what optionns were left? Multiply that scenario throughout the US and you get what we have now.

      P N ...you sound like an idiot. Even if you don’t believe in religion you can’t sit there and honestly say schools (especially colleges) only teach rationality..? If you want to be really technical, math is literally the only subject that is considered 100% “rational” everything else is strictly theory. Teaching religion is no different from teaching sociology lmao

    • @eldritchpumpkinghost2968
      @eldritchpumpkinghost2968 4 года назад

      @P N While religion is a load of crap, you clearly underestimate it's power. It's the strongest tool of manipulation out there. Religion works of exploiting hope, and overtime can bend people to the will of those running it. Religion has influence over society, laws and most people's lives. Sure there's problems with racism, sexism and homophobia in religion, but that's a minority of sick individuals. Most religious people are docile and and follow the nicest parts of their religions. Rather than discarding religion, we should us it as a tool to get people to think the right way.
