Rabbi Golub.... Until the Six-Day war, the reform movement was very ambivalent about Israel and Zionism. Then the reform movement adopted certain practices which were completely against tradition. For example, paternal descent, permitting intermarriage, female rabbis and clergy etc. All of this is frowned upon by the majority of Israeli Jews. It is really American jewelry that has swung to the far left and expects Israeli Jews to walk in step with their altered practices. This expectation is absolutely wrong.

Dr. Kedar discusses how Jews in Israel are going right, while most american Jews stay with the left. The problem is left and right in Israel don't mean the same things as in the US. In the US, those on the left are for more socialism, such a universal health care. In Israel, those social programs already exist, they don't have to be fought for. Right vs. left in Israel is more about security and how to deal with a minority population determined to destroy the state. In the US, I am regarded as on the left, but in Israel I'm on the right. (Although, if the American left keeps drifting into anti-semitism, that may change.)

So...... You've seen the world react post 10-7 massacre have you changed?
I have a cousin who is an actual Communists and sent her all of the self-reflective leftist articles that came out after The invasion saying that as Jews they can no longer stand with the left, she dug in even deeper.
Leftism is a hard addiction to cure

As a non-Jewish American, I feel that the political views of Israelis are more in line with the majority of Americans rather than the bulk of Jewish-Americans.

Hi - I am a 71 year old Goya. I have a Jewish heart in the body & mind of an Egyptian. I am an American first & foremost. Escaped Sudan at 16 to be the architect to my own life. Thank in US I met the Jewish messiah Jeshua . No one told me to love the Jewish people I realized they are the purveyor of God’s Word and Light to the nations. I enjoy & respect Mr. Galup ‘s investigative style. However, I believe it is high time for America to stop 🛑 telling Israel how to live. What to do & not do. We Americans sit here in our safe opulence and pretend /imagine to know how Jews in Israel feel. We are NOT living under attacks 24/7. It is presumptuous to tell them how secular or whatever ... they must be. What on does give us the right to judge them???

I want to ask Dr. Kedar if there is a single person, in the whole arabic world like him?And that is, are there any persons who tries and study or try understand the western thinking or western civilizations?Maybe(and that's a BIG "maybe") if such individuals exist in arab world , the arabs will try and change the viewpoint towards the westerners in time. However im a bit skeptical an arab "Kedar" will be recognized by the arab world.God bless you dr.Kedar, waiting for your book to come out:D

They may have the semblance of rational thinking but when it comes down to it the Quran is their rule book. I didn't see a solidarity March or we stand with Israel statement from a single Muslim.

Great questions given to Mr Kedar and these questions are made with great preoccupation because of the way ultra religious faction is dictating policies that are discriminatory to other non religious Jews or Jews from conservative congregations, reform, messianic, etc.many of this ultra religious are not required to fight in the army that’s why some other Jewish groups do not agree with some of their public policies.
