    • @y_fam_goeglyd
      @y_fam_goeglyd Год назад +27

      Ferrari have been no better than a midfield team far more often and for longer than most people realise - or are willing to admit to. Having watched them since the early '70s, I've seen them have good years. I've also seen far more bad ones, and not always with the same outcome.
      For an idea of how it was, look at the time Berger and Alessi were there. Much as I wasn't a particular fan of the team (blame Enzo's behaviour. If you think Red Bull are ruthless... 😬), I really liked both - extremely talented - drivers. Their results were nowhere near representative of either the drivers' talent or what was actually happening in the race. Their cars would pack in while leading so often, that if they actually finished a race, let alone in the points (which only went up to 6th back then), I would be genuinely thrilled for the driver. 🤷🏻‍♀️

    I think that Xavi couldn't understand Charles because the radio is poor so he just panicked and went through his basic responses and said that they'll talk about it at the end of the race not realizing Leclerc was talking about strategy. I don't get how he still has his job. If someone like GP couldn't understand Max he would just tell Max to repeat it or move the radio calmly. I would love to see Max with Xavi for one race because I think he would actually kill Xavi.

    Daniel handled the traffic like a pro. He made sure to stop early enough to avoid contact. It really wasn't even that close. I just checked his onboard again just now to be sure, and there was no way he was going to hit the Alpine without help. Zhou pushed him pretty good.
    I'm not quite sure what happened to Zhou at the start. As the lights started to come on, his engine revved up briefly but almost immediately dropped back down. The screen in the center of his wheel also lit up briefly, like it was rebooting or something. That leads me to believe it was some kind of fault of the car, but I'm still not sure if that was the case. Maybe the car did something because he made a mistake (mishandling the clutch to cause anti-stall or something like that), or if he just lost concentration for a few seconds and wasn't ready for the start. Whatever the case, he was complaining on his radio about something to do with "the fucking RPM." I couldn't really understand what he was saying beyond that.
