In a VAR positive world (if football ever gets there) the VAR review should have actually seen the 'gamesmanship' of the palace player going, and staying, down to get some form of decision and he should have got a yellow....but perhaps I'm old school

Sick of nothing being done about how useless VAR is and the standard of officiating in this sport.
First, how is that even a red tho?
VAR isn't really the problem, its the standard of officiating that's the real issue, which could inturn be down to poor guidance and standars by the FA themselves, VAR is mearly highlighting a problem.

Just what I came to say. Was screaming at the box. More pissed off about that than the red card and nobody (even US) replaying it. Penalty all day long.
Someone else has said this on RUclips and he's right demand they tapes of this. Bet they dont. They will be too nice as usual.
I can see the argument, technically, for a red. But its on the extreme end of harsh. If that's a red then there should be 3-4 a game. Some consistency please. No way, in normal speed, is the average player, manager, or fan going to think that's a red.
Also, for these fouls they should stop reviewing things in slow-motion. Slow-motion makes things look ridiculously worse because it gives an illusion of control and intent that is not always possible or probable when playing at these speeds.

It's a variation on the points deduction, suspend players for a few games, turn a win into a draw, turn a draw into a loss. Had this been Haaland or Salah, play on nothing to see here.
