Vai is playing the beginning to his song Bad Horsie. I met Vai on the first G3 tour and I asked him about this. I asked if he had Bad Horsie as a complete song and he used it for the movie or if he wrote the riff for the movie and finished the song later? He told me he had the song complete and used the beginning for the movie.
Thanks man! Appreciate you checking the video out :) The Charvel is a custom built one I put together more info here Building my DREAM Charvel Guitar! - MasterThatGear! ruclips.net/video/2DoouRBwBnA/видео.html
I used my Line 6 HELIX. The settings/patch is available to Patreons at www.patreon.com/posts/5-awesome-dlr-48038335 It's the same patch I created for the DLR Licks and Riff lessons built from Vai's own gear info in the Steve Vai Guitar Extravaganza Book :)
The fact you took time to teach that riff for the culture of the movie and request, automatic subscribe 💯
Welcome! :)
Every bit helps. Thanks. This whole duel, not just Eugene's parts, would make a great video.
I have to ask, how is the tone so percussive? That's the secret sauce to get that muted chug! Plugin, amp, pedal? Pickup? Sounds so accurate!
Great job dude, sounds fantastic!😎👍
Oh, I can get us there real quick. Jack Butler’s gonna like you

Thank you. Was obsessed with this movie as a kid, wish we would have had internet back then I would have been able to learn it. Great job!
I love the simple explanation. It’s minus all of the music theory that doesn’t show me what to play. Simple and quick explanations are the key.
