I'm pretty sure that last year when I landed a 52 pounder off AC NJ in a 16ft tin you could hear my screaming 25 miles in Brigantine 😂 love the solo trips. It's all on me
I found myself saying "ZING POW" the other day. We've caught hoo at 20mph up here in South Carolina. However, not at that speed with Nomads. We run the same speeds here as South Florida with nomads. Much Respect Capt Mike!
Regarding the missed bite comment, I actually had a fish last year hit first lure, got off then two other rods went off. We reeled in the same fish on both! This fish was extremely aggressive and hungry I guess. It was a Wahoo.
Great information and very interesting what small changes you've made since last video and Nomad was smart to sponsor you as you have the best most detailed instructions that I've found anywhere online.
Drag seems to be very very important. You didn’t cover drag. How are you setting them. I’m sure it is just enough that they don’t pull drag while trolling, but once the fish is on. What changes, if any, do you make to the drag? Do you leave it the same as trolling. Increase once a fish is on? Decrease? Leave it the same?
Just enough to where it’s not letting line out while trolling. You don’t really have to back off after a bite with these since drag isn’t super tight. With a planer, you can back off on drag a tad bit after hook up because you have lots of drag on it.
Hey Cpt. Mike, Ive watched a ton of your seminars on youtube and I have a question for you. I don't have a ton of money to spend on a lot of fishing outfits and I want to use a single outfit for potential wahoo and grouper fishing. Since I don't get to go fishing that often, even though its my passion, when trolling I will most likely be going around 8 knots and have a plug off the back while mahi/tuna trolling. I know in all your seminars for wahoo it is 65# braid, but for grouper I realize that would be overkill. Would you recommend downsizing to 50# in this case and trolling a little slower for wahoo/tuna/mahi or staying with the 65# and being a little overgunned for grouper.
Those lures are not like Jets you put a jet in put the line on put the leader on put the lead a note jet plugs or Bullets you don't need to play D*** i* all how come I'll hook up the leader hooking up to the lead or plainer and Santa jet or a plug Either one works as well for wahoo
The Alberto knot is the same knot that has been around forever. Just because someone with an ego renames it to his name, does not make it his. Don't be fooled imnto think that this guy came up with a new knot. He did not, but loves everyone thinking he did. Mexican Albright is what it is called.
Repent to Jesus Christ! Are you a sinner? Mark 2:17 King James Version 17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.

Thanks for this. Well done man!
Excellent seminar. Informative and entertaining. (Love the boat banner in the background !!)
Go to Venice Louisiana 20 miles away in the oil rigs and catch 100+ lbs Wahoo
i ran the 200 and 220 dtx with 250 lb momoi and they swim perfect at 10 mph
Nice catch!
EXCELLENT ! ! ! ! !

Had no idea aim was to gat one over 50 lbs, I’ve only ever had 1 Wahoo, in the Indian Ocean it was 84lbs whilst trolling for Marlin.
Are you leaving the first split ring on and adding the 300 lb second split ring or taking off the first split ring thanks
Mike - For the hook replacement why not the VMC 4X Inline Hook 9/0 Black Nickel 7266? Wide gap 9/0 and doesn't need the 2nd split ring.
I have the same question. Also the 8700 doesnt have straight hookpoint if i look at their catalogue, the 8701 however does
I’ve gotten 3 kings and one hoo so far on a dtx out of PE

Captain Mike, did I hear you say "Lock up the reel" ? I never do myself, I just adjust the Drag.

Oh boy one to set back 4 2hrs6mins ,15 ss no popcorn 😢but got fudge
Did Nomad change the Split ring on the DTX 220 hooks? They look a lot bigger than the rear ring.
103 Is leader time

Hooked and dropped three wahoo in a row fishing the 200 DTXs - not sure why the singles won't stick
@@MrGavo1978 change the hooks to VMC #8700, 9/0. Problem solved. Be sure to add extra 300 lb split ring because hook eye orientation is different.
