Curious why you find it so strange? I say that because living in a society filled with divorced parents which to a kid is awful in most cases this movie seems run of the mill and quite endearing, especially the original with Hayley Mills

I found the timeline of the movie strange, that's about it though. I happen to come from a household of divorced "parents", and do find it quite endearing. I'm just a very firm believer of knowing someone for longer than four weeks before getting married😂
