It's so fascinating to see this story in concise order. Not only is it a classical greek tragedy; it's actually much worse. It shows how clashing ambitions might ruin literally everything, and every character devolves into the worst possible version of themselves. And it STILL manages to make you root for at least SOMEONE in there. Wow!
I think I've played every God of War game (well, just started up Ragnarok, but I'm pretty sure I've played all the others), but I'll admit that a lot of the lore has faded away from my memory. I'd completely forgotten about Deimos and I don't think I knew about the barbarian's history (looks like comics - nice to see those included, that's cool), nor do I remember the Furies (did I not play Ascension? Maybe not). This has been a great refresher, though, so thank you to everyone involved.
This is one I've been eager for you to cover ever since I discovered your narration through your coverage of Resident Evil. GOW being my 2nd favourite series, it'll be nice to hear your retelling of the Lore. Stellar work so far 😄
I'd ignored the God of War games until a few months ago when I played through the 2018 God of War. It was so we written that I wanted to know the story leading up to that point. But I never quite found the time to delve into it. Thank you for this video, and I'm looking forward to the next one.
I was hoping for a GOW video like this! Engaging and intriguing narration as always! Very much looking forward to what other videos you make in the future!
i really want to play elden ring and experience the story myself and you're pumping videos at at just the right rate so i don't go crazy and watch your lore vids on elden ring, good vid
I’m immensely impressed by the presentation and narration. I hope you only improve in the future and you’ve earned a sub. I also hope you, continue through the entire GOW storyline.
You do wonderful work with all of these, and I genuinely appreciate every video. (The Doom ones especially were a delight.) Keep it up, you're doing amazing.
I obviously can't know all of the lore of both the games and the ancient mythology, but I do think that Ares has multiple points in mythology where he goes berserk over one of his kids getting hurt or killed, so the idea that he seemingly did not anticipate a similarly war-minded son of Zeus would also lose his entire shit at the death of his child is... in some way deeply hilarious. Somehow......
I'm just waiting for the tie in with Doom, two demi gods fueled by unending rage. Could you imagine a new Icon of Sin or another massive uber demon, Kratos and Slayer grappling around it with the blades of Chaos and the Meathook.
37:03 I've always thought that Ares was the only god in the Greek games that wasn't let off easy. Having all the others possessed by the evils of Pandora's box felt too much like excusing their horrible actions to me.
24:05 Is this perhaps foreshadowing to the apocalyptic world that Kratos will bring in destroying the olympian pantheon? The maelstroms, fire in the distance, no discernable landmass etc
I don’t think kratos was ever unfaithful to his wife I always thought that the reason why he slept around is because he’s trying to forget the pain of what he’s done you know drinking and eating, having sex just so he can distract himself I never thought of him as unfaithful
I never understood why the gods chose to torture demos, by the time they got their hands on him he was a little threat and you know how the old saying goes you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Torture should have made the prophecy come true even more
Egean was not a Titan; he was a Hecatoncheires, a giant with no less than 50 heads and 100 arms. The three Hecatoncheires were the children of the Primordial Gaia and her husband/son Ouranos, along with the three Cyclopses and 12 Titans. The Cyclopses and Hecatoncheires were imprisoned in Tartarus by Ouranos and left to rot there through the reign of Cronos and the Titans until Zeus freed them during the Titanomachy. In exchange for their freedom the Cyclopses forged weapons for the gods-including Poseidon’s trident, Hades’ Helm of Terror, and Zeus’ lightning bolts-while the Hecatoncheires used their many arms to chuck huge stones at the Titans. Egean’s brother Gyges appears in the GoW prequel/midquel comic as the island where the Ambrosia of Asclepius is located.
"She and her nipples ask Kratos to find her," had me dying. You said it so casually. 🤣
What's the time?
@@ernameria around 28:30
when nipples ask a man to do something he does. 'Dem the rules.
Didn't go to Comments til this exactly. Didn't disappoint
Same😄😄😄

I love listening to therse lore videos whilst working, but I hardly get any work done in the process.
Relatable
Same
Me trying to study while listening to Tip.
I listen to these while driving cross country
💯
"She and her nipples ask Kratos" lmao, good one
28:31 I laughed hard at this bit
Caught me all the way off guard. And said with a straight face too😂
Had to double take this too
I'm so excited you're covering the story of Kratos! Can't wait to see the next installment 😁

These are the stuff I want to listen when Im working.
Since it's God of War, shouldn't we be trying to kill the Algorithm God instead of feeding it?
This is one I've been eager for you to cover ever since I discovered your narration through your coverage of Resident Evil.
GOW being my 2nd favourite series, it'll be nice to hear your retelling of the Lore.
Stellar work so far 😄
These are gorgeous. I love your coverage of these older games. Could you possibly do the prince of persia series?
Ooh, that might be a fun one and hasn't been suggested before. I'll add it to the list 👌
All time favorite series 🤧👌
"She and her nipples" I busted out laughing, I didn't expect to hear that.
Definitely did not imagine you tackling my favorite franchise anytime soon! Very pleasant surprise ^_^
your lack of views is tragic. i love your style editing. you should be a household name in the lore community
The Rod of Asclepius is the correct symbol for medicine. Not the Staff of Hermes. I think it was the US Army that first got it wrong.

Amazing story telling, as always. I'd love to listen to you telling the lore of the Fable games.
I was hoping for a GOW video like this! Engaging and intriguing narration as always! Very much looking forward to what other videos you make in the future!
11:01 Centuries later Kratos probably wished he'd heeded that feeling.
LET’S GO!! God of War lore from my favorite Lore Lady! Actually you’re the only lore lady I know, Eh point still stands
28:32 She and her "what", ask Kratos to aid her?
I love when VAs slip stuff like this in. :D
Yay, one of my favorite series being covered by one of my RUclipsrs
This is probably the best lore video I've seen.
Omg I've been looking for a good explanation of the games storyline to show people! And one of my favorite channels was doing it this month all along!
Your channel is one of my favorite comfort listens 💕 thank you for your work!
Zeus gave his father, the mother of all C-sections!!!
i really want to play elden ring and experience the story myself and you're pumping videos at at just the right rate so i don't go crazy and watch your lore vids on elden ring, good vid
Can't seem to find your SOMA lore ! I like visiting it time and again ....
I got you friend 👌

YES! Dinallythe God of War lore video series is here! :D This is easily going to at least 3 parts.
Probably 5 parts because of the 5 god of war games
@@saige8962 She did 2 here so maybe
Was not expecting this but I’m glad its here
I've played all these games, but I only now appreciate the actual story, thank the Olympians for your gift
My lady, you have touched God of War lore?!!! This will be my favorite to date!!!! 🙌🏿✊🏿✊🏿😤😄
Been waiting for this break down. Top favorite game series of all time
I recently finished God Of War so it is incredible for me to see you make a video about it :)
I know the story of the games very well... But the way you tell it, is like I'm learning it again for the first time.
Today've been a good day. Now it's the best.
Reliving my childhood at the moment
YES! discovered your channel when you did dishonored, can't wait to see you break down god of war!
35:36 My digga! Bro came in clutch. Too bad he was the main opp!
Another Tip Toe Lore Video. Amazing 😊
Here's a video I didn't know I needed.

You guys deserve more subs. Love watching/listening to your videos!!!!!!!!!
Excited for second episode now. Love the channel ❤
Your channel is a true GEM
thank you so much my dear!

Yesss I’ve been wanting this one for a while

Was just thinking of you covering this series the other day
I am now watching part one since part 2 just released and I missed this on release
not even kratos can turn down a request from nipples.
oh heeeeeell yeaaaaah, this was perfect. I love god of war. great job on this
Can't wait for GOW Norse saga by you! Only you can do it justice
I'm just waiting for the tie in with Doom, two demi gods fueled by unending rage. Could you imagine a new Icon of Sin or another massive uber demon, Kratos and Slayer grappling around it with the blades of Chaos and the Meathook.
out of everything in this game, all the powers and gods and creatures, its weird to look back and see kratos double jump lol
37:03 I've always thought that Ares was the only god in the Greek games that wasn't let off easy. Having all the others possessed by the evils of Pandora's box felt too much like excusing their horrible actions to me.

May the god continue to bless your channel!
great job can't wait for the next one
So.....how were the bedroom dynamics between Rhea and Kronos?🤔
I love you videos if you have haven't done elder scrolls I'd love to hear it!
Tip has mentioned interest in possibly doing one of the Elder Scrolls games, so it is on the list 👌
@@Viryl_TV that would be awesome! I know that's a lot of work cause the lore is so deep so props to her
Thank the Kaiju for this episode and you!
Very well explained, thank you
I don’t think kratos was ever unfaithful to his wife I always thought that the reason why he slept around is because he’s trying to forget the pain of what he’s done you know drinking and eating, having sex just so he can distract himself I never thought of him as unfaithful
I’m listening to this while playing God of War 2018 in preparation for GoW: Ragnarok
Feeding the algorithm gods 🙇♂️
Great choice!
28:30 I was eating you almost killed me
“Her and her nipples” impressive how quick you inserted that in there
Thank you!!
When you do part 2, don't forget to include God of War: Betrayal.
I bet Gia wished she woulda minded her own dang business 😂
Alecto’s monster from seems heavily inspired by Charybdis, the great whirlpool
Listening to this in the shitter is good
I never understood why the gods chose to torture demos, by the time they got their hands on him he was a little threat and you know how the old saying goes you catch more flies with honey than vinegar.
Torture should have made the prophecy come true even more
Tribute to the gods of algorithmic
Please complete the series.

"She and her nipples" I about died
Yessss love these games
Commenting to feed the algorithm.
Again! You've got my attention..
This could've all been avoided if Kronos didn't eat his kids. Or Zeus didn't act to get rid of Deimos. 😅
U got my sub
So begins the story of the Bachelor of Rage.
“It might be surprising but there was a lot of inbreeding”
Me: Poor viewers you have **no idea**
FINALLY!
LETS GO!!!!! GOW!!!!!!!!
You should make a video about the Witcher games
Fastest Like I've ever slammed home on a video
For ferelden! Wait, wrong game. Still
You should have Kratos kill the algorithm god
Tribute to algorithm god
I thought i heard wrong about this part( 28:30 ) of the video
Does anyone know the song at 6:20?
Not off the top of my head, but I believe it's from the God of War Ascension OST
After he kills Orko why does he serve the gods for 10 years? Because Aries is their enemy and he wants to kill him?
Ugh... Pandora's Temple. It's was so long 😶
Comments for the comments god!
