There is a video of him comparing us to cave man and I think we have to move to space, as it happens to the cave man, the elders try to fix the cave problems first but maybe the solution for the problems in the cave is outside were you can find the resources you need for the needs of your people.

The food was literally outside. Monkeys (humans) got fruit and veg from trees (photosynthesis).
They had a reason. And going out didn't cost them a lot or threatened their lives too much unlike space.
He's comparing going to space with simply moving out of the shade.

Cave people depended on "family" as the important reasons for doing anything .....today that important ingredient is lost. More than 50% of families are broken up and children are affected by this to a very large degree among all of the other negatives in society including diversification of everything .

Kind of optimistic for 30 - 50 years, but I love the idea! Imagine the amount of problems that could be solved by going to space

Back yard is good but better is, our solar system is Earth's only life boat. Use it before Earth sinks.

The bottomless pit of useless trivia also also known as neil degrasse tyson, One of the biggest jokes is the talkers say water on the moon or mars, In the form of ice the amount is insignificant. Mining in space where you gonna put the smelter.costs to do mining. Do you know why there's no moon base, because it would be too expensive for no gain. Put some numbers down tyson, Big talk, From the bottomless pit of useless trivia

How about you put some numbers down. You claim he spouts worthless trivia, yet you do the same, curious.

@flynnmayne2055 Is that you, Neil de Grasse Tyson, I would like some numbers the volume of water that is on these planets. The earth has 333 million cubic miles. from the moon you can see water on earth.yet large areas lack drinking warer because it is contaminated. You told me that on Mars there is frozen water in the soil. It is known that the surface dirt is composed of iron and silicon and poisonous perchlorate, which is it's basically Chlorine which is which is mixed in the dirt. After nine mars landing no water and no life. Anyway, Neil keep up the propaganda. You can make poor people feel better that you're spending billions to go to Mars.
