You are a real craftsman Steve. I hope everyone at YCR knows how much we all enjoy watching your skillful work and taking us along for the journey on so many of your projects! Thank you so much guys!
I've already watched a lot of your videos with many incredibly complex shapes. But this is - for someone who has no idea how all of this is possible - next level. It looks like everything is possible with experience and persistence. I love your videos.
What a craftsman you ar😂e Steve. I am now semi retired and watching your video is like a mini aprentiship. An hour in the classroom and out to the garage. Thank you so much, Joe😂
Just watched the latest on the 911 if these videos where 2 hours long still wouldn't be enough for me just pure skill love it. Sad thing is when watching it makes me think who will replace you next generation don't have this soul.
as always Steve you do a fantastic job shaping metal on the Porsche, fitting it in like a jigsaw puzzle.and not being able to see the welding joints. its a pleasure to watch you.
Just catching up on this build and yet again Steve has nailed it…. If only Steve was a carpenter… 😂. Lovely job and your knowledge of forming metal is amazing to watch. 👍🏻.
When I see the rust damage at1:00, I have no idea why, but I think of The Titanic, and the music also matches that event! At first sight, one word comes to mind "Disheartening". You are from somewhere in Yorkshire (I was from Hull, but have lived in Sydney since '88), it is nice to know that these little shops do exist, because Rally Cars get bashed to death! But the journey will be worth every hour of busted knuckles, and bruised fingers. Congratulations for taking on board a project that (I think) most Body-Shop Places would decline. I have done similar work, on a Fiat Bambino, and also a '71 Beetle, almost 20 years ago. Beetle is still with me, looks brand new, and high-value. My repairs were general welding, replacing of floors. But nowhere near the same extent of rust damage! Trust me, your efforts will be rewarded. Greetings from Australia.
Hi Steve, yet another superb fabrication, really enjoyed watching and appreciate the time and trouble you take to complete ever stage of the restoration.😀😀😀
I'd love a video on the different products used - when you use rust converter and what you recommend, weld-through primer, what paint or primer for bare metal and what to put on filler etc. I know you cover some of them in the course of videos but one specifically to cover the topic would be fab.
I remember as an apprentice getting rust repairs to do .... if you get good at making the parts then it's really not that bad ... however you make it look easy ... well done
Esse é o canal mais recente de restauração que acompanho. Estou encantado com o trabalho dessa equipe. Novas técnicas de aprendizagem. Até o próximo vídeo. Abraços!!
That was an incredible process to watch, great to see such good craftsmanship and everything done correctly. What a lengthy job though, I can see why the previous "restorer" opted for filler!
God I love ❤️ this channel its so very interesting and very educational and thanks to you buddy I did some of my first welding today on my jaguar and everything went smoothly thanks for the upload buddy I couldn't do it without your helps..hope you all have a wonderful blessed weekend and new week.
WOW. I thought your skills couldn't surprise me anymore Steven, this is a whole new level. It looks like new, or even better. May I ask what settings you are using on the welder?
Super nice fabrication. That hole piece has form difficult to make. I always paint back sides of cavity pieces before welding. Maybe you can spray it afterwards here but sometimes it's not possible.
As always, a great instructional video presentation and one I found very enjoyable to watch! Great to see your metal shaping skills at work, Steve and by the looks of the inner guard, it looks like a match for the "Disastrous Datsun!"
Cracking job again Steve...almost a work of art that!.... And a shame to cover it with a wing panel!...😊😊 (so good I've watched it twice!...How sad is that...😂😂😂😂).
Just discovered your channal (a recommendation from an Opel Manta Owners club member). Impressed with your work there..The work done to repair the inner wing, which will not be seen when the outer wing is fitted shows how high your standards are.....Can I ask what are diameters of the 3 welded tubes you used for bending sheet metal and where did you get the metal bowl/former from? I am currently working on a 1988 Opel Manta and 1968 Vauxhall Viva GT. and will be using the methods I have seen in your videos to do so...thanks Pete
thank you Pete , imitation is the highest for of flattery :) basically they are just tubes we fond, the smallest is a scaffold bar the next is an old street sign and the largest i think was an old street lamp, just use whatever you can get Pete as those three shapes will bend almost any size bend we want just by moving the metal a we are bending it :)
Thank you Bob. Rest of the inner wing dose have a lot of surface rust but the inner wings aren't available and there is still enough thickness in metal to neatralize everything and coat it to last for years to come :)
It's truly a pleasure to see you at work here, great work 🤩
Thank you Tony we do appreciate the support :)
