What the holy hell? I get all excited because the Washington Post is permitting viewers, & readers to post comments on one of it's stories for once, & then you have to turn a rare piece of legitimate journalism from The
Post into an upside down joke with the worst take a rational person could possibly come away with from this bleak report about state censorship, the predictable pitfalls of Socialism, & politically repressive authoritarian dictatiships stealing the democracy of what, not long ago, was the most culturally vibrant, economically successful nation in all of Latin America, year in, year out. An economically illiterate strong man siezes power on his second try, {much like Fidel Cadtro in Cuba}, & complete economic collapse, widespread starvation,
& millions of proud Venezuelans are forced to flee the homeland they love, {eerily like
Castro's failed socialist experiment, except the Cuban people couldn't simply walk away from the revolutionary nightmare imposed upon them from a small clique of violent middle class, Marxist mal-contents, or there wouldn't be any average Cubans left to oppress with their stifling dictator for life,
one-party police state that left a once vibrant Carribean Island nation generations behind every other cpuntry in Latin America, & the poorest country per square mile, outside of Haiti. Thanks to an uneducated low ranking military goon named Hugo Chavez, & his equally disastrous, but even more autocratic successor Mad Dog Maduro, I think you could put the oil rich, failed state of Venezuela in that #2 poorest nation per sqare mile in the entire Western Hemisphere spot. As the recent bout of political protests in Cuba reveal, just because some other Socialist hell hole deliberately takes every action to ensure it's economy ceases to function on every level, as that nation's wealth is wasted on scores of expensive vanity projects, financial corruption so pervasive within Chavez's regime, the all important oil industry nationalized by the big brained Socialist leader as soon as he came to power, no longer has the funds for normal operations, currently producing a small fraction of the
oil Venezuela was selling on international markets, & the average household income was many multiples of the starvation wages all but top party officials in that forelorn country, exist on today. If you watched Fox News you might have some idea of how awful life is for nearly every Venezuelan who hasn't fled the country yet, & how the wealthiest country in all of Latin America could be turned into an economic basket case, where the man made famine Chavez's socialist policies lead to was, & continues to be so bad, the average Venezuelan has lost 25 pounds, involuntarily, because currency manipulations & harsh restrictions explicitly aimed at foreign companies operating in Venezuela, meaning they simply shut down for good instead of watching the regime steal any profits they might have hoped to
produce. I'm pretty sure CNN, MSNBC, & the legacy news programs, & even the news outlets I used to trust like NPR, & the PBS News Hour didn't do many reports on the Hyper-Inflation in Venezuela, why a back pack full of Venezuelan currency might by you a dinner for 2 at a restaurant, that's if it's packed pretty tightly, & you can find a cheap eatery that's still in business within walking distance of your home. Now I'm pretty sure I've heard the left-wing narrative about imaginary US economic sanctions, or President Trump somehow causing all of Venezuelas economic woes, on NPR, & definately more than once on MSNBC, but those myths are so ridiculously untrue, & so provably false ... it borders on cruelty to tell such blatant lies about what actually caused so much misery, such extreme poverty, & destroyed so many millions of lives ... so needlessly ... it borders on EVIL, but to say it's downright cruel, is a gross understatement. The only so called "US economic sanctions" targeted specific notable figures in the top levels of the Venezuelan government, aimed at thwarting any thoughts of fleeing the country with garbage bags of dollars, or other state assets & heading for a bank in the Cayman Islands, since the Venezuelan currency was made almost worthless after Hugo Chavez's death, when Maduro had a brief window to alter the worst of the Chavista economic program, but he not only failed to reverse the unsustainable levels of state spending, fearing he would lose Chavez's loyal base of paid off supporters, he doubled down on every fiscal landmine that dotted the nation's economic horizon, making every terrible economic policy, a certain crisis that had no real world solution. I think FOX News has devoted some air time to the corrupt censorship regime revealed in many of the twitter files, that undoubtedly exist at Facebook, Google, & other left-wing dominated social media platforms, as the behind the scenes e-mails, & illicit recommendations by government officials, the FBI, Dr. Fauci, the CDC, the CIA, the Biden administration, 100's of elected Democrats, & yes even Pfizer executives who were never bashful about asking, suggesting, & recommending twitter violate the constituional rights of American citizens
including the truth about many aspects of the Covid pandemic, the Lab Leak theory, & the pseudo-vaccines we were repeatedly told were so "safe, & effective" I'll bet Fox News will devote a little air time to the latest report, from our very own government, even if it is the Energy Dept. for some reason I haven't checked into yet, that now conceeds the once demonized "Lab Leak Theory" is in all likelyhood, the only viable explanation for the origin of the SARS Cov 2 Virus that lead to the global Covid pandemic. Before I cut off my cable about 18 months ago, I remember Tucker Carlson interviewing a heroic female reporter from Austrailia who had compiled a lot of circumstantial evidence, from a whole host of US Government officials, leading Virologists, organic chemists capable of explaining what gain of function research is, & why it's been controversial for years, the former head of Britains MI-5, & even old President Trump, who revealed Dr. Fauci, a leading advisor to his administration on everything Covid 19, NEVER once thought it prudent to tell the sitting President of the United States, that the sainted Dr. Faucci himself, the mist highly paid official in the entire Federal Government, earning more each year than President Trump himself, the fact that Dr. Faucci had personally sought an exemption to Barak Obama's ban on Federally funded gain of function research, & he had personally approved of many millions of dollars of grant money to fund incredibly risky research at the Wuhan Institute of Technology, where a front company named Ecco-Health Alliance was making chimeric

SAME LAB in Wuhan, China were some reasonable people are suggesting the Covid 19 Virus might have come from. 2 years ago Tucker had the author, of "What Really Happened in Wuhan" which was also a 1 hour documentary film based on her investigative reporting. Now Ms. Shari Marxim NEVER claims to know 100% what the origin of the SARS Cov 2 Virus was, like any honest reporter who doesn't have the proof to support such a claim. She merely points out the facts she was able to confirm from official documents, communications between CCP officials from the Wuhan area as a novel disease begins to take it's toll, interviews with intelligence officials in multiple countries who have spent 100's of hours investigating the origins of the highly unusual Virus that suddenly popped up out of no where, without an intermediate host animal, a requirement if the natural origins theory pushed by the terribly compromised, & clearly conflicted Dr. Faucci & his grant receiving colleages who NEVER produced any evidence, nor did he think to fund any research to support his phantom natural origins theory. Did CNN, & MSNBC do much reporting on Dr. Faucci repeatedly LYING to Congress, UNDER OATH, about his division of the NIH funding gain of function at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in the years, & months prior to the Covid 19 outbreak in that city. I'm pretty sure Fox News covered that on the day he purjured himself, & in the following Congressional hearing where he doubled down on what clearly lies, & the very next day, when the NIH, ITSELF, the parent agency of Dr. Faucci's NIAD division issued a letter detailing specific gain of research projects conducted at the WIV as far back as 2014, signed off on by Dr. Faucci himself ... but not only Fox reported on that story. The left-wing Intercept covered Dr. Faucci lying to Senator Rand Paul over, & over again, & so did the progressive outlet The Hill ... but not so much on CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, PBS, or NPR that I used to listen to 12 hours a day, 7 days a week.
