Hi, Timo! This is in every way a Porsche! It passes the DNA test with flying colours, speaking of which, I'm glad you kept the original green. Your added details only improved on the Matchbox base. Super nice, and the first one I've seen in what will be a weekend long party, I'm sure. Thanks so much for joining in. (I could make a really long blooper reel of my failures! 😂). 🍁☕👍
Thanks Andrew. This was fun, and my little friend will get a second toy for his collection. Apparently he has enjoyed last year's model so far. That cloth sunroof cover was going to be fantastic...in my mind...up until I removed the tape. I almost couldn't clean the stuff off.
Great end result the woody side panels are a nice touch ,he also designed tanks for the German army in ww2 but didn't get the go ahead due to the over complex engineering.
No, it was not made by Porsche. It was designed in the 1930's after a demand of Adolf Hitler on a cheap car (less than 1000 Reichsmark) for all... by Ferdinand Porsche and were produced after WW2 under the Name "Volkswagen" During WW2 the Car was the Plattform of the well known "Kübelwagen and Schwimmwagen" Only a vew where build for the civil market prior the war, and were later confiscated by the military.
You could say that there’s an improvement that can’t be seen….. Not only did you improve the look of your bug, but you also added a Porsche motor to the car! Anyways, great job
I tried that on my milk float/race car tow vehicle. Commenters pointed out that a milk float only could drive about 10mph and was lucky to move a load of milk bottles. I suggested that it had a Porsche engine that I forgot to mention. He replied that "then you should race the milk float instead of the Austin A30 race car. 😜
@@timosdinkydetailing In a TV show years ago I saw a woman in a drive a Bug that supposedly had a Porsche engine in it…. I wonder if anyone really did that?
Did you Mummy I mean wife tell you, VW is Porsche and ur friends will not make fun of u? Sorry only joking mate. Try looking for second hand. I purchase dozen or so off a a Porsche model car collector who was getting rid of over 100 Porsches. I saw her ad the other days, still 6 month later. Cheers Graham
@@timosdinkydetailing I purchase a dozen or so off women of FB marketplace months ago and went back couple days grab heap more. At $2 for matchbox and hotwheels from 70s is good price. That about $1.30 USD each.

Beautifully done looks awesome👍👍
Thanks Loonie.
I always said Porsche were glorified VW's now you proofed it. Nice work Timo. Cheer's JV
Thanks Johnny. Porsche is a flattened VW Beetle. Scirocco is a flattened Golf. There's a pattern.
I wish I could customize like you do in a rush. Great work! Way to honor @MapleLeafCustoms
Thanks Tom. This was easy to rush because I didn't have to strip or paint it. My previous build was started last July. Ouch!
Fantastic job on this one brother. Turned out amazing.
Thanks BJ. I appreciate that.
Well done@ Looks Great! New Sub 🇺🇸 ☕
Thanks Jack. Glad to have you aboard.
Hey it's close enough... great added touches

Thanks Edward. I appreciate it.

Thanks Old Man.

Thanks Martin. Perhaps it's a good thing they didn't build Porsche tanks.
I love it! Those decals are beautiful. I think you nailed it.
Thanks Twyce. It was tough to come up with an idea that preserved those fantastic details from Matchbox.
Great hippie custom on one of my favorite matchbox castings.
Thanks Collector. I love the Volkswagen design. This is my first such casting.

Thanks Neil. You think I should have put a surf board on the roof? Damn

Do you mean a ragtop folding sunroof? The thing on top in the car?
Yes. I suppose it's a ragtop by definition. Don't know why they would model the casting with it, but not paint it.

Fantastic job, well done! 👍 Is it worth filling in the wheel hubs with a chrome pen?
Thanks Adrian. Paint the hubs silver? Yes. but to late to put it in the video.🙁
