Imo Withered Roxy is just straight nightmare fuel, she actually pounces at you like a wolf, plus her crying right before she gets you just makes it even more unsettling.
Why is she so destroyed we just hit her with a go cart she should be pretty damaged but they act like we threw her out of a three story building, threw a bomb at her and had the same building fall on her.
I love the little details put in. Chica's scream is super distorted, because we stole her voice box. Roxxane is moving slowly and only pounces when she realizes where you are because we stole her eyes, Monty isn't moving because... Well, we ripped off his bottom half.

Broken Animatronics are definitely the scariest. The unwithered ones just seem to kid friendly. Edit: in my opinion, the withered animatronics should be scarier to some degree I agree BUT at the end of the day, it’s a horror game; shouldn’t all jump scares aim to be scary in their own way? I feel like there’s no reason you couldn’t make unwithered just as terrifying as not, as demonstrated with fnaf 1 vs fnaf 2 withered versions.
That's kinda how it's supposed to be. Freeroam horror games like SB don't rely on the jumpscare, but rather the intensity of the actions *before* the jumpscare (e.g chase sequences, hiding from the animatronics, sound design during chase sequences, etc. Just things that can make the player go, "I'm in danger... I'M IN DANGER!!")
If you’re looking at them while you’re running away then idk but that’s the point it’s hard to get jump scares in a free roam game since you can look around, way more horrifying when you’re being chased and their footsteps just keep getting louder
To be quite honest I'd like a game where we could hang out with these animatronics, and actually experience them in their prime. instead of at the end of their shelf life like in most of the fnaf games.
I personally think that their jumpscare noises should resemble their normal voice. For example : Monty's jumpscare should sound something like the nigthmare animatronics because of his deep voice

I always found it wierd that only the withered version of the glamrock animatronics had special jumpscare sounds instead of the same high pitched scream shared throughout. Maybe a less distorted version of their unique jumpscares would've worked better than "stockscreameffect.mp3". Same with the music men and freddy.
I love the little detail of when the animatronics are withered the scream that comes with the jump scare either is not present or is muffled by the sound of machinery. Also Dj music man is probably the scariest jump scare in the game for next to Glamrock freddy with the mask off.

Vanessa the security guard. 5. not really that different but Molten Funtime Freddy during the Afton boss fight if you touch one of the tentacles, Molten Funtime Freddy jumpscares you through one of the opened grates.
Anyone else find it kind of freaky how: The Animatronics all have the exact same jumpscare scream. But after they get Shattered by Gregory. Their new Jupscare has remnants of the characters screaming? (With the exception of chica because she has no voice box to make said scream) It's almost as if Aftons control is loosened and instead of screaming in Gregory's face to scare him. They're screaming in agony to SAVE THEM AND SET THEM FREE!

I don't know if this counts as a proper jumpscare or a bug, but one time (just after beating the endo's maze warehouse) at the part you need to reattach Freddy's head I screwed it up and got a beheaded version of Freddy's jumpscare.

You missed one. In the junk area after crushing chica, if you fall off the bridge at one point, you get jumpscared by a swarm of the creepy Staff Bots
