When it was ruled that money is classed as free speech in politics I knew that as bad as things already were, things were going to get worse. Here in the UK it's more "connections" rather than straightforward money (although to have that oxbridge and Eton connections you need money in the first place) as there are rules on how much a campaign can spend. As I said, it hasn't got rid of the problem-especially on the Conservative right-since you or your family need money to make those connections but yet its possible to not get drowned out in the same way as in America. And when it comes to devolved elections here in Scotland connections matter even less thankfully, even for the Conservatives. I saw a documentary that showed how Ali Oki was basically cast (i.e. a casting call) for a political group that was looking for someone to prop up to political power that would say what they want, suddenly I can't find it. What that means is it was either removed or search results modified to hide it, I will find it and shine light on it so everyone sees it.
The title is very misleading, not so much rigged as that only a certain type can get into politics, rich old white guys in this case
