    it’s just so bizarre and haunting to me that every single person that was killed actually had a life and had inspirations and goals. It was not just a person who was killed, it was a future that was killed and that just sickens me.

      Yeshua in Torah: written 800 years before his crucifixion.
      Isaiah 53:1Who has believed our message
      and to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?
      2He grew up before him like a tender shoot,
      and like a root out of dry ground.
      He had no beauty or majesty to attract us to him,
      nothing in his appearance that we should desire him.
      3He was despised and rejected by mankind,
      a man of suffering, and familiar with pain.
      Like one from whom people hide their faces
      he was despised, and we held him in low esteem.
      4Surely he took up our pain
      and bore our suffering,
      yet we considered him punished by God,
      stricken by him, and afflicted.
      5But he was pierced for our transgressions,
      he was crushed for our iniquities;
      the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
      and by his wounds we are healed.
      6We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
      each of us has turned to our own way;
      and the Lord has laid on him
      the iniquity of us all.
      7He was oppressed and afflicted,
      yet he did not open his mouth;
      he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
      and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
      so he did not open his mouth.
      8By oppression a and judgment he was taken away.
      Yet who of his generation protested?
      For he was cut off from the land of the living;
      for the transgression of my people he was punished. b
      9He was assigned a grave with the wicked,
      and with the rich in his death,
      though he had done no violence,
      nor was any deceit in his mouth.
      10Yet it was the Lord’s will to crush him and cause him to suffer,
      and though the Lord makes c his life an offering for sin,
      he will see his offspring and prolong his days,
      and the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand.
      11After he has suffered,
      he will see the light of life d and be satisfied e ;
      by his knowledge f my righteous servant will justify many,
      and he will bear their iniquities.
      12Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, g
      and he will divide the spoils with the strong, h
      because he poured out his life unto death,
      and was numbered with the transgressors.
      For he bore the sin of many,
      and made intercession for the transgressors.

We see so many of those perpetrators brought to justice even now unable to admit their guilt or their responsibility for their actions at the time. An intensely moving and thought provoking interview. Incredibly brave and stoic of this elegantly spoken lady to describe such suffering publicly on TV, regards her own experiences and on behalf of so many others.
    As for the subject of forgiveness for such pre-meditated appalling crimes. I don't see the the relevance or the appropriateness of even asking this lady, who quite rightly, appeared divided by such a suggestion, yet handled it brilliantly.

    This is actually still happening! We’re too disconnected from the rest of the world and other beings and we ignore their tragedy, probably easier to empathise with the old victims than with the current ones, which would require taking action not just ‘remembering’.

      5But he was pierced for our transgressions,
      he was crushed for our iniquities;
      the punishment that brought us peace was on him,
      and by his wounds we are healed.
      6We all, like sheep, have gone astray,
      each of us has turned to our own way;
      and the Lord has laid on him
      the iniquity of us all.
      7He was oppressed and afflicted,
      yet he did not open his mouth;
      he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,
      and as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
      so he did not open his mouth.
      8By oppression a and judgment he was taken away.
      Yet who of his generation protested?
      For he was cut off from the land of the living;
      for the transgression of my people he was punished.
      11After he has suffered,
      he will see the light of life d and be satisfied e ;
      by his knowledge f my righteous servant will justify many,
      and he will bear their iniquities.
      12Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, g
      and he will divide the spoils with the strong, h
      because he poured out his life unto death,
      and was numbered with the transgressors.
      For he bore the sin of many,
      and made intercession for the transgressors.

He came off as insensitive and uninterested in her story and more interested in his agenda of conducting the interview which was done poorly.

    A few years back I met a man and started to date him. I thought him funny and kind. One night during dinner he said to me that his grandfather was an SS officer and worked in one of the camps. I had trouble swallowing the bite I had been chewing when he shared this. I guess he could tell I was uncomfortable with this information. Instead of moving on from the conversation he said that his grandfather had figured out a way to keep people from sticking to in the inside walls of the ovens by lining them with italians. To this day I don't know if he meant it as a joke but either way it showed me he was a very sick minded man. When he stopped speaking I looked into his eyes and saw a dare there. I never said a word. I stood up, gathered my coat, and called a cab. I never spoke to him again. But these people exist. Right here in the united states.
