For a game that I played Heavily on Gamecube....these graphics and its mechanics were WAY ahead of its time.
When I was watching the Triple H entrance I was like that looks exactly like the Triple H model in SVR 11
The graphics were so much better than the last DoR game. Pushed the GameCube to it's limit.
The gameplay is great. It's the best wrestling game engine ever, and was actually even improved on in the Wrestle Kingdom games on the PS2.

Funnily enough, that PPV also triggered the No Blading policy after HBK bled way more heavily than he initially said he would.

Did you know you can get more than 4 weapons at a time? If you break both announce tables, you will see there are 4 chairs remaining. Do a running strike towards these chairs and they will fall. You will then be able to use them. In practice, you could have up to 8 weapons at a time.

Kane did the Falling Powerbomb a bunch in 2001 and early 2002 before his Bicep injury and the switch to the Half Mask look. He started doing it as a response to Undertaker's Last Ride pretty much. They went on to give that to him in every game in the main series from Just Bring It to SvR08 as a secondary finisher until they changed it to the Tombstone and in some games the Claw Hold he used when he returned Masked in late 2011.

I love the the crowd did the RVD taunt in time. Something you just never get with 2k. They can't even get Randy's timing/lighting right and he's been in 18 years in a row.
Tbf RVD has only been in like what one 2K WWE game? And that's the one they had to start from scratch because Yukes tried to port their engine to next gen tech and it didn't work. Also even THQ/Yukes have never gotten Orton's lighting right. I don't think they have ever gotten it. I think Drew's lighting was timed to his entrance and theme in like SvR 11 but not Orton

I wish aew would model a game after this. This game had amazing fundamentals. The gameplay was so free flowing and fun. The graphics look modern. Amazing game.

When using dolphin
Before you load your match so whenever you're piccing your characters go to graphics on the dolphin menu itself once you open this you should see "Dolphin Direct3D11 Graphics Configuration" at the top of the window if you're using direct3d 11. Select / Haccs and under EFB Copies unchecc disable and you can checc "enable cache"( I guess it's been a while I haven't toyed with it lately) but the main thing to get the models bacc visible is to highlight where it says "Ram" because Texture may be highlighted already. This will make the models visible but it may make your game run slower determined on your computer so after you see the models load in the match you might wanna switch it bacc from Ram to Disable EFB Copies just by leaving the "Disable" box checced. But if you're doing like revenge mode or revenge stages you can prolly leave it set to Ram and it may just run smoothly all the way through. And also you have to switch it to Ram everytime you're tryna load caws just incase I didn't make it clear earlier

Hey guys just letting you know there is an action replay code to give infinit stamina in this game, I think that's the best way to play it bc the stamina system ruins the flow of the gameplay

The wrestling engine was excellent. Very much an updated No Mercy, and was even more improved on in the Wrestle Kingdom games on the PS2. It's a damn pity the DoR series never continued on. The Smackdown series is great (well.... it was great until like WWE 2k14), but I miss the variety of different games we had in the early-mid 2000s.

I think it's fair to say that Heidenreich is the worst Paul Heyman managed wrestler ever.
Nah, that honor goes to Curtis Axel. At-least Heidenreich had a run as one of the top heels on Smackdown and feuded with Taker for a while. His poems and attacking fans in the crowd schtick was pretty great too.
