Also, Islam encourages us to think and contemplate. And it's absolutely commendable to read the works of experts in different fields. Islam is not threatened by it. The only concern should be to have clear understanding of Islamic principles and "boundaries" so that in case of any conflicts we have our priorities straight

Brother Qaisar, one small correction in Ghazwa-e-Badar Rasool saw took Fidyah not Khiraj. Khiraj is a land tax specifically on Khiraji land.

I am a student of economics. The first video of Dr. Taimoor I watched, he had presented very basic economic concepts so incorrect that I started wondering is he even educated...
This is was exactly my conclusion, either an ignorant can say such things, or a dishonest person.
Can you tell me where he is wrong and whether I should follow him? Recently, I've been watching his lectures, mostly on Karl Marx, and I've just started. So, should I continue with him or not? And if not, do you have any recommendations?

I don't know how these self-appointed defenders of the Islam are so narrow minded and blinded to all objective reality... The professor is talking about the fact that ALLAAH Subhana waTa'alaa HIMSELF is acknowledging and calling the convictions of the kafiroon as "deen" as HE is calling Islam a "deen" in the Qur'an at another place ALLAAH Ta'alaa also says إِنَّ ٱلدِّيْنَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ ٱلْإِسْلَامُ "Indeed as far as ALLAAH is concerned Deen is Islam" and even at this point almost every scholar explains this as that ALLAAH Ta'alaa only considers Islam to be the right "deen" which means that there are many other "deens" are followed by many different people but those are false, but nevertheless are "deens". Now putting the debate of what's right and wrong aside the thing that becomes very clear is that there many codes of conducts adopted by many societies as their "deens" so, as far as Islam's being a "deen" is concerned then Islam has no exclusivity. The debate of what's right or what's wrong is a separate one. Even in Surah Yusuf ALLAAH Ta'alaa calls the ways of the king of Egypt دين الملك "deen of the king". So, just by calling Islam a "deen" there is no special status that can be given to Islam...

The rest of the conflicts will be discussed in aakhirat. Repect for difference of opinion is what we need to learn. Better we keep a scientific approach to life not dogmatic.
