Interesting, Amanda. Thanks for the demo. I think (personally) less is more, so less strident harmonies and lower keys seem to work better with your voice. Have loads of fun with it. Cant wait to hear more as you delve into more styles and genres of music. cheers Georgi xxx
Thanks Georgina. Yes I wanted to demo all the settings in order to experiment but the right setting to choose definitely depends on the song you're singing - this higher pitched song works with the lower harmonies much better (and ends up too screechy with the higher settings) but lower pitched songs work great with those same higher harmonies. But it's so much fun messing around with it. Thanks for listening! xx
Hi there. I'm sorry I haven't tried that so I'm not sure if it would work. If the backing track was just guitar or piano it may but it might get confused by a whole band. It would be best to get in touch with Helicon, who make the pedal, I'm sure they would be able to help you.
@@AmandaEaston Dear Amanda! Thank you very much for your answer! Of course, I will write to their office, but can I ask you to try this connection option for yourself? I will be very grateful to you!
@@AmandaEaston Dear Amanda! I wish you a successful tour and grateful spectators!) I will be waiting for news from you. I would like to play the saxophone with this device, but I don’t know if it will suit my requirements?
Thank you for the informative video. It really seems to be the best gadget I could get in that price range as harmonizer software is either of low quality or very expensive. But then again, the gadget has quite a few in- and outputs, which is no issue for those already having a basic setup and set of cables to start with. But in my case, I merely intend to use the gadget for recording sessions without any plan of performing with it. My current setup only consists of a stage piano, a laptop and a microphone that I plan on getting sooner or later. Do you know what I need in the least to work with the pedal? Or would it be too much for my needs? Could you recommend any alternatives if all I want to use it for is recording?
Amanda that was so cool. I wonder how much those pedals cost. I'd love to have one. And that song you were singing a few verses of. Here Comes the Rain Again. I love that song and I love Annie Lennox.
Hi Charles, thank you. These pedal are around $AUS 500 although you can be lucky and pick up a second hand one cheaper. And yes I'm a big Annie Lennox/Eurythmics fan too! All the best.x
How does this connect to a DAW? I am using Ableton live with a Scarlet 4i4 audio interface. Will this work since the mic and piano require their own inputs?
Hi there. I have never used it for recording (only live) but it should work fine. If you set it up exactly as in the video but instead of going into the live mixer, you just go into the Scarlet. You will still need just the two inputs into the Scarlet, because the mic and piano go into the pedal and then out again - the pedal doesn't require an additional input, it is just the device in the middle of the recording chain. Hop that makes sense!
Thanks for doing this, I was super interested in how this would work with piano. Very cool!
Thank you. Works so well with piano, I hope you enjoy it!
Well done, thanks!
You're welcome.

Sounds like fun.. how about now in 2022? Happy with it, still?
Yes, still use it quite a lot, especially in my livestreams when there's only me 😊

Hello. Please tell me, is it possible to connect a backing track from a laptop to this processor to determine harmony? Thank you!

@@way18 Hi there, I am touring at the moment and don't have access to this set up but eventually when I do again, I'll give it a try! :)

I love mine. Ive had it forever but I don't ever turn the level past 10:30-11 because it starts sounding artificial.
Yes, there is a sweet spot that's for sure.😊

Aw that's so nice of you to say! 😊
I think your levels were too high.
