- The 23-year-old has spoken out about the backlash she’s received over a $5k donation to a former makeup artist Samuel Rauda’s GoFundMe campaign. After criticism from the public about how low the donation was considering her net worth, Kylie took to Instagram Stories to clarify a few misconceptions about her donation.

As soon as you suggest other ways for rich people to use their money, like donating food, money, or supplies to the less fortunate or underprivileged ( instead of on objects that they or their children don't need or will ever use ) their supporters almost always respond with, "How much do you donate? They can spend it on whoever and whatever they want to. Maybe they donated in private, but just don't want it announced." These remarks are only made when people question them for what they do for the poor or the "average" citizen. ( No, I am not saying poor people are "average" citizens. ) This goes beyond "helping" people. Most attempts at giving constructive criticism and trying to have civil conversations with their supporters hardly ever end well. If you're dubious about a particular celebrity or other rich person's intentions and call them out on them, you're labeled as either a "hater" or are "jealous." I see this all of the time. They also love to accuse the doubters of looking for handouts. Who knew that asking questions and/or countering what someone says means people are looking for free stuff?
