I do appreciate your honest review! But I want to debunk some your statements… “Medical grade” skincare is a marketing gimmick. You stated the FDA regulates these products. I used to believe that too but it’s not true. I also seen results from ZO, but after much research unfortunately I won’t be using it anymore. Come to find out the amount of denatured alcohol in their products is a bit alarming. (That’s why some products burn and/or are tingly when you put them on). My ache went away, but now my skin has a red undertone and I’m I believe it’s from all the alcohol. Just a reminder to everyone to do the research! These companies pay big money for marketing, don’t be a blind consumer. There’s plenty of reputable non “medical grade” products that can give results without putting your face through a war.
I totally agree with you! Medical grade skin care means absolutely nothing! There is no FDA approval. It is false advertisement and unfair to those who wouldn’t know
The pigment control you use it at morning and night and also the pigment control +blending cream at the night…how ..2 hydroquinone products on the night at the same time?
I just want to say that this is not everyone's experience. I'm older with dry skin and have been using ZO for a long time but I am now in the middle (7 weeks in) of the hydroquinone and tretinoin program for the first time. Your ZO rep should've had you on Getting Skin Ready for some time before going on this protocol. I had a few individual breakouts, but nothing like you experienced. The peeling is my biggest annoyance, but that's part of the progress. Also worth mentioning is that you should use only a physical sunscreen when on it. Perhaps I'm having less breakouts, too, because I am not wearing any makeup and I refuse to wear a mask - face masks attract bacteria and create moisture that are held captive on your skin. Regardless, your skin looks great. If you were to do it again, I highly recommend doing GSR for a couple of months prior to starting it. Also - a frustrating feature of ZO is that you need a rep to advise you. I am on my third rep and she is fantastic - the first two, not so much.
I can so relate! It takes me 30mins to do my ZO protocol! There’s so many products I need to use morning and night.. it’s such an expensive skincare line I don’t think I can keep up purchasing them all the time
Well you look amazing. I’ve done it a few times over the years. I’m about to do it and I’m wondering about something. In the past my esthetician at the Medspa always had me use tretinoin mixed with it (retin A) and go off my retinol. I’m hearing everyone else say to use retinol. I’ll have to reach out to ZO. Agreed, going through it, especially the 1st time is hell. But as she would tell me, consistency is key. And the polish helps with the peeling. Now that I’m over 45 my estrogen has dropped and I barely see any melasma! But I still want to do the kit. It always makes my skin look younger. The Vit C self activating is the the best. Great for summer months. You are so knowledgeable! Thanks for sharing!
I work at a med spa here in 🇨🇦.. we are only allowed to carry the 2% hydroquinone.. sucks. I am breaking out using ZO. I love fragrance free skincare. ZO Has a lot of added fragrance.
I think we are so similar :). I am currently using a prescribed cream for treating some pigmentation patches, not sure if it's melasma. This cream has hydroquinone, kojic acid, and tretinoin. I can't wait to see the results, just started for a week so far. xx
@@khushiaftab1097 I have stated in my first comment what are in the cream lol. But it is prescribed. You may have to consult a dermatologist to prescribe one that is suitable for you. And under the eyes skin is really delicate and thin but it may get irritated with strong cream. Best research carefully and then get a trustworthy dermatologist. Try watching Dr Davin Lim on RUclips. He's really good.
Thank you so much for this video, I did their treatment a few years ago and hated it so much, 4 months, I was breaking out, (so glad to hear you also broke out and had the whiteheads) and now my melasma is back so started it back up again at Zo in Beverly Hills. Im not ready to start being extra red again, so I;m currently on the Brightalive, )however it's making me break out too).Daily Power Defense and Texture repair. Will go back in a month to start the bleaching. I did stop their products for a while, but now I will not stop since Melasma doesnt ever really go away. Again, thank you for this video!!!
Ugh it was a really hard routine for me! I don’t think I’d do it again. Please let me know what you think! There’s a few other brands o want to try that prescribe hydroquinone and are way less expensive I may try next time
Thanks so much for this video and your detailed review! I’m getting a lot of pressure from my rep (actually a plastic surgeon) and it’s annoying to be pressured to buy it. Im actually really happy with my current routine using Drmatology and have been using 4% hydroquinone and tret already so…. Yeah not feeling the $700-$1000 price tag! I am seeking a new eye cream tho, any suggestions from ZO (or other med grade brand)? Thanks again ❤
I wouldn’t do it again my skin barrier is still wrecked 😭 I actually don’t use eye cream. I pull my products to my lower eyes and use moisturizer or serums on my lids- just no actives up there
I'm in Canada and have been using it for around 2 months. How are you applying it? They told me to apply both the pigment control cream and the blending cream and retinol to the entire face (the directions say just to the problem areas though)... But are you letting it sit there for a few minutes, or just rubbing and rubbing and rubbing until it gets absorbed? I have some crazy redness and peeling as well, but it's not even where the melasma is so I feel like I'm doing it wrong. 😅
Great review! I’m going to start using the protocol in a few months after I stop breastfeeding. Unfortunately, in Canada 4% is now not allowed, you can only get 2% from ZO reps :(
I got the Hydroquinone kit in Canada from a specialists office. The kit instructs to use the Pigment Control Crème 2% HQ -and the Pigment Control + Blending Crème 2% HQ together at night. Theyre pretty strong together.
@@irinas4302 no problem :) Good luck with it! Just make sure to read the instructions properly. You're supposed to mix and use the last 2 products in the PM regimen 3x a week, for the 1st two weeks (the Pigment control+ blending creme & the Wrinkle +Texture Repair). I used it for 6 days straight before I realized my error loool. My face was a peeling, itching, painful mess. You're supposed to give your face time to slowly adjust to those, and the Exfoliation Accelerator aswell. Now Ive had to stop using the whole regimen to give my face a few days to heal. Dont do what I did 😆 And becareful with your neck area too. Mine has been red and itchy for days. Im going to avoid it now
Hi Lauren!! In your personal opinion, which product work best for your malasma… Zo Skin Health or Musely? I saw both of your videos but was curious. Does the 12% Hydroquinone better for the malasma? Asking because I just started on Zo Skin Health but was also interested in Musely as well, please let me know. Thank for sharing!!!
And..? Am I just supposed to memorize a full script? I used to do that and it would take me all day to film a video then days to edit. Now I can do it in one day… also, it’s not bottom right it’s the full screen.
Thanks for your review. Just started ZO a few days ago and your information is very helpful.
Glad it was helpful!
I ve started using this skincare..Is it worth it?? 😕

Has anyone experienced super watery eyes, itchy and discomfort after using the pads ?
Yes, I believe it’s because of how much alcohol is in them. 🤦♀️
How much was the pigment control creme?
How much is the pigment control + blending creme ?
Thank you in advance! ☺️
Hi! I recommend reaching out to the spa I mentioned above that sells it with my 15% off discount code! Their name is SkinLuxe.
How much ? How to order
I am curious if you made the video with the same photos you used for Musely ????
What do you mean?
Can you tell me your skin doctor name? Thanks
Should you use hydroquinone if you exercise outside . Would a hat glasses and sunscreen suffice ?
Yes you’ll be fine!

Hey! They both worked well but Musely is more affordable and way less irritating.
Are you still using the zo skin?
No I'm not using it anymore. I tried Musely this past fall
I love a lot of ZO products, but I ended up using their HQ products on my hands because they had so much exfoliant in them. 😳
Love you videos!!
