Nice story time .. how ever I am unable to pick exactly how you applied for a PERMANENT RESIDENCY like are you actually entitled to a ILR directly from your country? Or what Visa exactly did you relocate with?
Thanks love, I explained this in the comment section love. My partner lives here as a permanent resident so I came here through him which gave me a residence permit to live here with him on permanent basis.

Because I don’t understand
You only get permanent residency after living in the uk for 5 years for some visa categories and 10 years for others like student
Please educate me how you got your permanent residency right from moving from your home country
Or you mean you can reside in the uk as a legal resident because of dependence or
Hi love, permanent residency is a person’s legal resident status, that is, the person who is not a citizen of that country have the right to reside on permanent basis. The person is not restricted and can move freely back to their country and return anytime they want. My partner lives here in the UK as a permanent resident so I got my permanent residency through him. You can get your permanent residency within 2 to 3 years or 5 years depending on the type of visa you are holding or even 10 years. Hope this explains love😘. You can apply for citizenship after a year.

For example I’m a midwife and I’m on skilled worker visa which also allows me to move freely to move in and out of uk at anytime. And will take me 5 years to be eligible to get my ILR. But does not make me a permanent resident or someone which ILR because if my visa expires i must renew it before I clog the 5 year mark to be able to apply for my permanent residency . So I just want to know where the permanent residency from your side comes from right from moving from your country. If your partner is on a visa category which allows you to be his dependent is that a permanent residency?
Or if he even has his ILR I don’t think you as a partner immediately also gets ILR from the start , you must also live in the uk for some years that’s why I’m confused o.
