      @@userdoesnotexist424 I just put 1 lrg or 2 med size banana peel in a 1 gal milk/juice/water jug for 7-10 days. Shake it for 20-30 secs prior to feeding the plants.
      Use the remaining pieces in the jug as compost for worms or just dig a hole 6-8 inches away from the stalk.

    You can also dry them out and pulverized them into a powder. I save my peels and then dry out a baking sheet full in the oven on the lowest heat for a few hours, then use a coffee grinder to turn it into a fine powder.
    Then you can store it longer than if you made a tea. If you want to make a tea like this you can add a few scoops to water. I usually sprinkle it on my soil like fertilizer, or mix it in with potting soil mixes.

    • @gr8dvd
      @gr8dvd 2 года назад +2

      Air-drying took a couple weeks indoors (cold winters), likely faster outdoors in warm direct sun (with proper netting for pest control) and greater air flow. But same brittle result, easy to pulverize. Think I’ll use in soil as you do… thanks!

    • @mahmadi2473
      @mahmadi2473 5 лет назад +4

      This is an interesting idea but not sure this alone was the reason for your 10kg fruit products. What plant was it that you grow. The best video to prove this concept is to start with two identical fruit plant, water one with banana and the other without take a short 10 second clip every week (which is easy to do) right to the fruit and then compare the results and show it here. That would be something. But nice suggestion thank you, but i will not water my plants with this till i know the proof of concept first.

    Can we do same with leaves?
    I mean putting fallen leaves in water and adding as a nitrogen source?

      @@Powdhey is it okay if we put leaves in a pot were already a plant is growing? Wouldn't it interfere with the plant in the pot.
