They updated that mod to remove those tells. Now the only way is to spray it with spray paint. If a middle finger pops up while you spray then it’s a mimic lol

You can: 1) *View it on the radar* - place it down somewhere (i.e. by the exit, in a large loot room, outside the ship, etc) & you can use it to check if an area is clear before you direct people back to it 2) *Ping it* on the terminal *& it will emit sounds* - this can help people find their way back to the exit/ ship, or to lure away Eyeless Dogs - you can ping it to lure Eyeless Dogs towards it & get them struck by lightning lol - you can't teleport it back to the ship so you may lose it if you use it as a distraction 3) *Flashbang/ stun enemies with it* via the terminal - it can help players escape threats by flashing it in their hand, but it will also blind the player - it can stun Forest Keepers, Baboon Hawks, Masked & Eyeless Dogs to help people get by them safely/ escape their grasp - it makes Snare Fleas let go of people - it delays the Jester's windup & resets their speed - it stuns Coil-Heads for 5s - it can be used as a replacement for the zap-gun & stun grenade, making it easier to kill enemies like the Thumpers 4) *Utilise the bright light it emits* - you can use it instead of a flashlight. It weighs 19lb (pro flashlight is 5lb), but you get the benefits of the flashbang too - you can place it on top of/ around the ship to help guide people back - you can buy multiple to make a path to the ship/ exit (like the lights on Rend/ Dine), etc.

It only lasted so long because of said mods. This game is no different and will die off by the time the guy finishes making the game because modders made the game better than he could.
