Best tip I ever learned with my pool and filter is to literally put your pool filter into your washing machine with your normal laundry soap and it really does clean it of course you don't dry it no reason too. But no reason to buy new filters unless you rip it. Best money saving tip ever
Just want to add something that I didnt know..There are 2 kinds of shock treatment..Vinyl shock is what I think you use for above ground pools..The other shock is for in ground pools..
Yes! I've been learning as I go- I have this same pool. MOST of the chemicals out there are not necessary, especially on a regular maintenance basis. Another tip for anyone just beginning- do your own research (like watching videos on this channel!) and dont automatically trust a pool supply store salesman - they will likely sell you all kinds of unnecessary stuff, over-complicating things. And just because something is more money definitely doesn't mean it's the best products. One example: a bag of Arm & Hammer baking soda (aka 'sodium bicarbonate') from the baking aisle for maintaining pH levels/raising alkalinity levels.
Thank you for all the info provided! I cannot find this product you use. All I keep finding is the orange bag same brand hth shock advanced. I’ve had the pool up for 5 days (city water) and I have used one pack of the shock advanced. I noticed today cloudiness in the water. I’ve been running the pump all day. (We have been using the pool daly 2-3 Persons) help.
I took the filter out and cleaned it daily with the garden hose, I found that made a zhzuge differencewith my clarity, have you checked the chlorine level with test strips yet?
I'm sure you've figured it all out now being it's been 2 years but for anyone else reading, over treating with any chemical can also cause cloudiness. Make sure to test all levels and make sure everything is good. Almost anything on that list, if not at the ok level, could cause cloudiness. Also, like the other user said, daily cleaning of the filter cartridge definitely helps. Make sure you're running it at least a few hours every day.
Good afternoon I want to thank you for all your advice we just bought the same pool last year this is our second year with it we just filled it up a few days ago and I need some more advice on how to keep it from turning blurry
I use sock-it chlorine pouches that I get from.costco or Walmart, the main thing also though is to make sure you clean the filter every day or so (take it out and spray it clean witha garden hose)
We have this exact pool. The pump died after about a month. The impeller in the pump motor is about the same size as what you what you would find in a fish tank. We upgraded to a sand filter pump with more horsepower. Other than that, this is pretty decent pool for the price.
How long is the cord coming from that filter I'm putting my pool pretty close to the house so the kids can just come out the sliding door and go right in about 10 feet away
Yes, we do. Just make sure the covers on tight so it doesn't get stuck in the inlet for the water filter which could cause the pump to overheat if it was starved for water. We leave our pump on 24/7 and the cover is on every night.
PovertyPointCustoms have u had any issues with running your pump 24/7? I called poly group and they told me the max run time for the pump on this pool is 4 hours a day. They said it could over heat and burn up the pump if you run it for longer.
I would vacuum it, that will get rid of the dirt but make sure to clean the filter every day and I run the pump for 8 to 12 hours a day and add sock-it chlorine and that should clear up the cloudiness
Also depending on what the cloud is at the bottom, if it is too fine, it can pass through the vacuum filter . I noticed if the pool has enough activity, it stirs up that stuff and the cartridge filter will catch it but without it being stirred up, it won't reach up to the skimmer entrance to the filter. If what is settling to the bottom is extremely fine, flocculent is great for making stuff bind together making it easier to vacuum up because then it won't go right through- your vacuum bag/filter will be able to catch it. (That's assuming you're using that type of vacuum that connects to your garden hose). ** I'd love to know if there's a better way to vacuum this pool other than using the garden hose so that I'm not adding so much water to my pool whenever I have to vaccuum, causing me to potentially have to rebalance chemicals. Please help! And also PLEASE correct anything I have said if it's incorrect- I'm still learning! 😊 🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️🏊🏼♂️🏊🏼♀️
Hello I have a few questions I have mines set on concrete with a tarp underneath would that be just as fine at a form pad ...or should I say keep it safe from popping...also how long do you let the pump run for and at what times THANKS 😊
I would put the tarp and also foam down, the tarp may wear and the liner will be against the concrete. Some people run the pump 24 hours a day, I run it for half of that and have had no issues with the water (make sure your chemical levels are good, and our pool was filled with city water)
If the pool is being used alot (and alot of people swimming in it) I would use the whole bag of it at one time and have the pump running with a clean filter so it helps circulate the chlorine. I normally can get away with 2 small bags of sock-it a week during the summer time.
Make sure the pump is on when you add it and the pump filter is clean so it is running fully (pump). And I will usually direct the water outlet from the pump to the side so it causes the water to circulate in one direction (clockwise etc) and I have found this helps circulate the chlorine so it doesn't settle (I do get a small amount that settles but not alot).
Especially if you are using hose water, which of course is very cold, and it's hot outside, you're going to get condensation. Hopefully by now you aren't seeing access wetness on the outside anymore.

So you don’t use chlorine tablets or anything other than shock it once a week? We just bought this same kind of pool and I was looking for cleaning instructions.
I have the same pool! Are you supposed to have that little thing up the sprays the water out ihave mine down? And also you put the whole bag at once? It can handle that
I put the whole bag in all at once but make sure your pump is running and you don't just dump the chlorine all-in-one spot make sure it's evenly spread over the time for the pool that way it will not cause any issues with your liner by fading if it sinks. With the pompon it will help circulate the chlorine. I like to have my pump outlet pointing to the side and down a tad but still underwater Facing away from the pomp as it will cause the water in the pool to start rotating clockwise a bit directing any debris towards the filter inlet.
Thank you! I just got this pool and was struggling with what to use. I can’t seem to get my chlorine levels right. All the other levels seem fine. I’m doing eveything you did in this video. Kind of curious, the hth, you do about 10 handfuls once a week? So a little less then half a pack each week? Have you ever used the hth tabs with a skimmer also?
Just got the 16' x 48" pool, going to pick up this weekend. Definitely not pool weather right now. How expensive monthly is it too keep pool clean? I have a fairly level back yard and the polygroup site says not to level with sand, do you recommend it?
@@frankiew311 from their website Do I need to prepare the ground or dig a hole for the pool? The pool should be set up on level ground (±2%) free of rocks, branches, other objects and holes. I bought the 16 × 48 and assembled it last weekend. It's still cold, but weather is warming up. I used sand to level as my backyard is not level at all. It's been 5 days. So far it's okay. Bought a pool maintenance starter kit from Walmart. I used sand as my friend has the same pool for three years and used sand to level. Kept it up all winter ( we live in Canada) and she has no problems
@@spencerschoenrock8326 I had the same issue put my pool up any way it's been up 3yrs now love it. And you actually save money. No gas no fees no extra food etc. And I use an extension cord made for outside
I get the hth Max (Sock it) shock from Walmart or costco. It is a 454g bag which is mainly chlorine granules. It is also on amazon. I have not tried hth complete yet. This has worked perfect for us and stays crystal clear.
You can purchase test strip to check the chlorine levels, our pool was filled with city water that has chlorine in it so one bag of sock-it was enough to get my chlorine levels where it should be to start. You can get the test strip on amazon walmart etc.
I buy it from Costco, Walmart sell it also. I use test strips to check the chlorine levels, but usually a few packs a week, but also make sure to clean the filter daily, I found that makes a huge difference in the water clarity
Can this pool be set on concrete? My yard in Vegas is either rocks or concrete lol. Also, do I have to drain it every year or just keep cleaning water? How do you know right Ph level?
Yes you can set it on concrete but I would put foam pads underneath of it as it would wear away at the bottom of the liner. As long as you maintain your water you should not have to drain it every year however draining part of it and putting fresh water in with certainly be beneficial.
Mine is on concrete and tarp No problem so far I don't mind if it only last me a couple months because I was spending 200 each time I rented a water slide.
I usually don't, with this size of the pool running it a few hours a day is more then enough, just make sure to clean the filter every few days though with a garden hose
I make sure the string that tightens on the outside of the cover is tight, mines blown into the pool though with heavy winds, I'll do an updated video when its setup again (probably 2-3 weeks)
hi i'm getting the same pool and i'm a bit confused. i have city water and i filled it up added pool shock cleaned everything and added a couple chlorine tablets.. is that ok? do i need anything else like ph strips or is it ready to swim in.. thank uu
I'm on city water also and just had to use sock-it chlorine and have no issues, I tested mine and the ph level was ok without adding any other chemicals
After swimming, I'll usually add half a package of sock-it, then the following day I give the pool filter a good cleaning (take out and spray it with a garden hose).
10 hand fulls ? Is that like half the bag ?? I have the same pool but don’t use the city water. I have my own well water and after a day of swimming it got cloudy and I bought the shock and put the whole bag and it turned the bottom white no more 🟦 blue squares
I usually do apx 1 full bag, I try and make sure it covers most of the surface of the pool rather then just a small area, and make sure the pump is on to circulate the chemicals, this method I never had any issues with it damaging the design on the pool bottom.
PovertyPointCustoms i have the 14x48 intex should i use the whole bag throughout the week or a 1/3rd of it per week? I can only get the 4 in 1 here in the states. Will that work just as good?
Is the shock treatment still keeping your pool clear? Or have you had to change up the treatment to keep it clear? I just got one about 3 weeks ago and I haven't treated it yet. I'm still trying to figure it out. So far my water is still crystal clear. I added some bleach to kill off any bacteria, but I know that it will not prevent what may happen. please comment back😁
Hey brother so im getting all my stuff ready for my pool. So just get this and use 1 pack per week? Usually after each use throw some in? No need for algae chems or anything else?
I've been wondering this also. I personally do but I'm a beginner and I'm very curious to know whether or not he does, and if not, why. Trying to absorb all the knowledge! Lol
I always cover it by myself the easiest and to start off when you're covering it is where your filter is that way I find it almost pushes the cover to the other side to secure it
We use city water(tap water with the garden hose), not well water. The city water has chlorine in it (not alot but some) and is not hard water like some wells are
Love your videos and info. you are great. we have the same pool and it was given to us by a friend because we have a high risk family and cannot go out in public this summer (stinky virus). The pool is up but not exactly level (off by about 2 inches no matter how hard we tried). We have 5 kids and notice that water pours out of the filter when all of them are in. Any idea if this will hurt our filter system? The pool seems great but after reading reviews now, I am worried. Thank you for such awesome summer dreams for us by showing how easy this pool can be!!
I clean the filter every 2 days, cover it nightly and add sock-it treatment (chlorine) weekly. It was initially filled with city water which has some chlorine. And in the fall when I take it down I drain onto our back yard grass.
You should wait one hour per pound of shock treatment before you swim, make sure the pumps on to circulate it well though. We will usually add it after we swim though.
@@PovertyPointCustoms yes its clean. I also use a sock. I cut the toes off the sock and put the pool filter inside it leaving the excess sock around the paper minding the openings on either end
What’s the difference between hth sock it max 70 454g vs hth sock it 454g (the one available here has no 70 written on the box). Would it work the same?
We are actually on city water so we have a fixed yearly rate for water so we can use as much as we want. However it did take between 8 to 9 hours to fill with a garden hose on full blast.
So far right used it last year and the pump was continuously running for apx four months without any issues. I took the pool down for the Winter time but it will be set up again in June for the summer. But for the time that I've used the pool and pump the pump has been working fantastic I just make sure to clean the filter every couple days.
I had the same pool but bigger...mine was 15 foot and the pump is sitting outside it died bc the cord got wet. Be careful it works not. Those pumps have lots of issues...they are great when they work..
You should be ok with only being off level by 2 inches, if you know where it dips a bit though maybe add a few bags of sand to raise that area up a bit.
All we've had to use is sock-it, our initial water was city water so it was nice and clean and some chlorination to start off with. Make sure to clean the filter daily though
We run ours all the time other then when we are cleaning the filter, using the leaf skimmer or pool vacuum. The pump is cheap to run, and I noticed an improvement keeping it on and the water circulating all the time.
I use the regular hth brand sock-it shock treatment (454 grams) from Walmart or costco and have had no issues. Just make sure your pump is on to circulate it, if not it will sink to the bottom where people have had issues with it staining the liner.
I just bought this pool I haven't opened yet letting it sit for a week for covid purpose. My question is what else do I need chlorine or anything? Thank you in advance for your help
I use shock it from walmart (which is really just chlorine)and never had any issues. Our water that the pool is filled with is city water (not well water) so it's not hard water like some well water is that may require other chemicals.
@@PovertyPointCustoms I keep mine on for about 8hr a day. I have the model next down to yours. Not as big as yours. I live in the valley of Cali so i have mine up already. We are already in the 97°. When it hits 105°-110° i can't put the cover on cuz it causes mold and Lotta algae the water turns green on the edges. Do you recommend anything for that
If it is nice I usually take the cover off of it during the day and put back on at night time, clean the filter ever day or so an add chlorine weekly and it stays crystal clear so far.
@@frankiew311 hi, we try to lever our yard with sand to be able to set up the pool, but when I open the instructions I saw an advertise saying " do not put the pool over sand!." After o saw a review saying that it is a huge mistake Do that and because the pool is not stable Do you have any problem with it??
You will be ok with that, I'm on city water also and have just used the shock only and pool stays crystal clear, just make sure to keep your filter clean (I clean mine every 2 days)
Its actually away for the winter, setting back up in a few weeks. I'll be getting a vacuum for it then, not sure on the model yet but I'll do an updated video when I get it.
There's a plastic plate that fits over the skimmer opening, you then fit the vaccuum hose to the opening and go to town. Make sure the hose is full of water before you hook it up.
Its went up roughly 10.00 a month, I would turn it off once in a while for a few hours here and there but didnt notice much of a difference in the power bill by turning it off for a bit so I would leave it on most of the time.
The pumps that come with the pool will burn out much faster if you have them on 24/7, that’s what happened to my first one. You can save a little more money on electricity if you run it over night and not during peak hours too.
I don't have a vacum with mine, I used a pool leaf skimmer, which worked ok but hard to get the small stuff on the bottom, I may consider some type of vacuum this year that hooks up to my pump.
Yes, but if the pool is used alot we add more, as well make sure any debris leaves etc are cleared out daily as well make sure to keep the filter clean and your water should stay crystal clear.
I usually leave it on for 8 to 12 hours a day and it stays crystal clear, just make sure the chlorine is at the proper levels and I always clean out any leaves etc.
I keep my clear by cleaning the filter every 2 days (take it out and hose it really good with water), if it is really bad you may have to do this a few times a day to get any sediment out. I shock once a week (454grams), if I were you I would do it twice a week as well keeping the filter really clean. After a few days if it is still like that you may have to get water test strips to see if you need to add any more chemicals.
We shock it once a week, clean filter everyday and use the test strips. We clean the water from dirty brown and that's how it turned out afterwards. We just need to find a way to get the milky cloud out of it.
@@TristianFincherMusic cloudy water usually means dead algae, your filter may not be strong enough to get it all out. Also make sure your alk and ph is balanced. You can also use Flocculant to fuse the debris floating around making them heavier and falling to bottom, them vacuum
I use a 1 pack of Soc-it (chlorine) and make sure the pool filter is cleaned a few times a day when the pools really cloudy, by doing this I was able to keep mine clear. And once the water is clear you can clean the filter every other day, and add the pack of chlorine weekly (with this size pool)

Is the hth max and hth complete the same? I cannot find the max online and cannot see the ingredients from your video. Thank you!
I get the hth Max (Sock it) shock from Walmart or costco. It is a 454g bag which is mainly chlorine granules. It is also on amazon. I have not tried hth complete yet. This has worked perfect for us and stays crystal clear.
I do not see that anywhere where I’m located not on Walmart or amazon is there an alternative?
How do u know how much chlorine u put in it I have the same pool first time using
You can purchase test strip to check the chlorine levels, our pool was filled with city water that has chlorine in it so one bag of sock-it was enough to get my chlorine levels where it should be to start. You can get the test strip on amazon walmart etc.
Where do you put the cover when it's not on? I'm currently filling mine up now
I usually just take it off and put it on an extra lawn chair so it's out of the way,we always put it back on over night
How many times a week do you put the sock it? Where do you buy the sock it?
I buy it from Costco, Walmart sell it also. I use test strips to check the chlorine levels, but usually a few packs a week, but also make sure to clean the filter daily, I found that makes a huge difference in the water clarity
How do you keep everything else right like the ph level and all that new to pool lol
@@PovertyPointCustoms If you dont mind ,can you tell me what kind of foam pads would you prefer ?
Mine is on concrete and tarp
No problem so far
I don't mind if it only last me a couple months because I was spending 200 each time I rented a water slide.
Do you run your filter at night too when covered?
I usually don't, with this size of the pool running it a few hours a day is more then enough, just make sure to clean the filter every few days though with a garden hose
Wondering where you purchase the filters? I cant find one that fits properly. I bought type a/c but the hole is too big.
I get mine either at Walmart or amazon
Thank you, very helpful
Thanks 😊
for water from my house from city water do i need chlorine tablets?
Yes, I use sock-it chlorine, 454 grams each week
How do you secure the cover especially during strong wind. It kept flying off... do you have a video about securing the pool cover
I make sure the string that tightens on the outside of the cover is tight, mines blown into the pool though with heavy winds, I'll do an updated video when its setup again (probably 2-3 weeks)
Amazon sells pool clips that work great
Just bought this does the one bag still work? What do you use now?
Yes but make sure to clean the filter daily
@@PovertyPointCustoms is it work the same thing? Where do you get it?
How do you use the pool vacuum?
I actually just got one, I should have a video on it hopefully this friday.
hi i'm getting the same pool and i'm a bit confused. i have city water and i filled it up added pool shock cleaned everything and added a couple chlorine tablets.. is that ok? do i need anything else like ph strips or is it ready to swim in.. thank uu
I'm on city water also and just had to use sock-it chlorine and have no issues, I tested mine and the ph level was ok without adding any other chemicals
PovertyPointCustoms alright i'll just add the water and chlorine then thank uu :)
Do you add the shock at a certain time of day? Is it ok to add the shock at night and then cover the pool?
You can add shock whenever but make sure the pumps on to help circulate it
PovertyPointCustoms thank you!
how many bags of sock it do you use?
I usually use one a week, if its quit warm or the kids are in it alot maybe 1.5 bags. 454grams in each bag
What do I put in the pool after it’s been used for the day?
So it's one full package a week ? It how much do I put ?
Yasmin Mendoza yes one whole package per week bt I am currently adding new water due to the pool smelling like a lot of bleach
I filled my pool with city water. Can i just pour about 10 hand fulls around? Or do i need to adjust ph first?
I filled mine and added 1 bag of sock-it (chlorine) and tested my levels and it was fine (I'm on city water also).
Ok so thats what ill do today check the water levels thanks 👍🏽
How long do we have to wait to swim after adding shock treatment ?
We usually wait a few hours but make sure the pumps running to help circulate it first
4 hours
Do you use anything for algae?
I've never had any issues, I make sure to clean the filter daily, and use sock-it (chlorine)
I added some bleach to kill off any bacteria, but I know that it will not prevent what may happen. please comment back😁
All we have had to use is sock-it (usually every few days and we clean the filter daily
Hey brother so im getting all my stuff ready for my pool. So just get this and use 1 pack per week? Usually after each use throw some in? No need for algae chems or anything else?
don't you manage the ph levels?
I've been wondering this also. I personally do but I'm a beginner and I'm very curious to know whether or not he does, and if not, why.
Trying to absorb all the knowledge! Lol
what about the chlorinator that floats on top?
I found I did not need it if the pool filter was cleaned daily and sock-it was added every few days
How long should we wait before swimming after putting shock treatment?
A few hours but make sure the pumps running to circulate it
Can adults swim in this ?or is it just for kids ?
is it easy for a single person to put the cover on or does it require 2 people?
I always cover it by myself the easiest and to start off when you're covering it is where your filter is that way I find it almost pushes the cover to the other side to secure it
what do you mean by city water, like the tap water or hose water?
We use city water(tap water with the garden hose), not well water. The city water has chlorine in it (not alot but some) and is not hard water like some wells are
@@PovertyPointCustoms How do you keep your pool water warm?
How much was the chlorine you bought from Costco if you mind
36.99 plus tax for a box of 12 packs
We just got this pool and the pump spills water out of it anytime someone is in the pool is that normal?
Mines the same, if there are any big waves in the pool it splashes out thru the pump cover
Thanks for the video. Just to make sure, you use one whole pack per week? I have an 18ft
Yes, but if there is alot of people in swimming I use a bit more
How how do you keep clean where you don’t need to take out the whole water
I clean the filter every 2 days, cover it nightly and add sock-it treatment (chlorine) weekly. It was initially filled with city water which has some chlorine. And in the fall when I take it down I drain onto our back yard grass.
We have the pump that came with the pool and it doesn't work well we dont thibk
I agree I wish it was a bit bigger
Do you put chlorine in it
We do I use sock-it that you can purchase at Walmart or costco
When you do a shock treatment read the label! Can’t swim for like 24/48/72 hours
You should wait one hour per pound of shock treatment before you swim, make sure the pumps on to circulate it well though. We will usually add it after we swim though.
How is that pump shooting water like that? I have the same pool but my pump does not push water near like that.
Is your filter clean? I clean mine out every day with the garden hose, if not it really limited the water pressure
From what I've read there is not much difference so you should be fine to use either or
Thanks so much!!
Do u have to have the screen on
I have a cover I put on at night time
Is the filter supposed to leak?
Did it come with the maintenance kit
I had to buy the chlorine and leaf skimmer separate. It just included the pool, pump,1 filter and the ladder
@@PovertyPointCustoms do you also use a vacuum
Did it cost you a big water bill ? Thanks in advance , I just got a pool and wondering what I might expect
We are actually on city water so we have a fixed yearly rate for water so we can use as much as we want. However it did take between 8 to 9 hours to fill with a garden hose on full blast.
This size pool would be roughly $100
How long did it last you, did the pump last?
So far right used it last year and the pump was continuously running for apx four months without any issues. I took the pool down for the Winter time but it will be set up again in June for the summer. But for the time that I've used the pool and pump the pump has been working fantastic I just make sure to clean the filter every couple days.
I had the same pool but bigger...mine was 15 foot and the pump is sitting outside it died bc the cord got wet. Be careful it works not. Those pumps have lots of issues...they are great when they work..
I just got my pool. Same one you have. Our ground is off level by 2 inches or so. Will that be a problem in the future?
You should be ok with only being off level by 2 inches, if you know where it dips a bit though maybe add a few bags of sand to raise that area up a bit.
PovertyPointCustoms I forgot to mention we have it on concrete, so I don’t know if the sand will be useful. We had a bunch of sand too.
PovertyPointCustoms thank you for responding back so fast. Lol!
So do u test your water with strips??
We do, when my pool is setup in June I will be doing a video on how I test it weekly.
Do you vacuum the pool
I haven't had to, I just make sure to keep it covered at night and I have a leaf skimmer to clean out any leaves or debris that gets into it.
And I make sure to clean the filter every 2 days
Do you put algaecide into the pool water?
I've actually never had to, I just use the sock-it and the water stays nice and clear (I make sure to clean the filter every 2 days)
PovertyPointCustoms thank you. I find I’m getting sandy dirt in the bottom of the pool. Do you vacuum yours and if so how often?
Same with sandy dirt ? Than pool water turned different color tell I found shock Clorox 6 in 1!
Have you used any other chemicals in addition ?
All we've had to use is sock-it, our initial water was city water so it was nice and clean and some chlorination to start off with. Make sure to clean the filter daily though
@@PovertyPointCustoms ours is city water too and I ordered the sock it!
@@PovertyPointCustoms How often do you test the water?
How do I use the vaccum to clean my pool

What do you use to vacuum your pool?
Intex vacuum
How often do you vacuum?
*how long should I run my filter pump for? An hour two 3 all day?*
We run ours all the time other then when we are cleaning the filter, using the leaf skimmer or pool vacuum. The pump is cheap to run, and I noticed an improvement keeping it on and the water circulating all the time.
@@PovertyPointCustoms oh okay, thank you very much for answering my question sir I really appreciate all your help thank you again 👍🏽
Do you use vinyl shock or regular shock? I didn't see it on your box in the video.
How much did it cost you?
@@allison-x2m The pool was 266 at WALLY WORLD
3 things you should have with a pool. Chlorine, alkalinity up, ph up.
How long do you run your pump for on a daily basis
I normally keep it on all the time, just turning it off when I'm cleaning the filter. The pump doesn't use alot of energy so it is cheap to run 24/7
Do you recommend anything for that
If you don’t use the pool everyday, would you still take the cover off or leave it on? We normally are only able to use ours on the weekend. Thanks!
If it is nice I usually take the cover off of it during the day and put back on at night time, clean the filter ever day or so an add chlorine weekly and it stays crystal clear so far.
PovertyPointCustoms did you put sand under the tarp? We are trying to decide if we should or not. If you did, about how many bags?
I take it off now and leave off till fall I have no problem with it

When you first filled your pool, did you have to treat the water? I have city water also and wasn't sure.
I just used a bag of shock and it was good our city water is chlorinated and not hard like well water so a bag of shock treatment was all I needed.
Thank you very much for the helpful reply.
I bought the hth shock, do I have to buy separate chlorine? If so what kind and how many times a week? I'm on city water
You will be ok with that, I'm on city water also and have just used the shock only and pool stays crystal clear, just make sure to keep your filter clean (I clean mine every 2 days)
@@PovertyPointCustoms awesome, your videos helped me alot. thanks!
I have chlorine and shock, when do you shock the pool? I'm filling mine now.
I put a 1 inch chlorine tablet in the skimmer how long do you think I should wait to get in
It is recommended to wait for apx 2-4 hours after adding chlorine to the pool.
What size pool do you have
What are all the chemicals you put In your pool
Tablets in the skimmer could cause parts to erode. Put chlorine tablets in a floater.
How do you vacuum the pool? This is exactly like my pool.
PovertyPointCustoms would love to know where you got vacuum
So by doing this your pool's vinyl wont slime ?
I didn't have an issues with slime or the water not stay clear by doing this
Keeping the pump on continuous does it make your electric bill jump really high
Its went up roughly 10.00 a month, I would turn it off once in a while for a few hours here and there but didnt notice much of a difference in the power bill by turning it off for a bit so I would leave it on most of the time.
PovertyPointCustoms yeah that’s what I’ve heard $6.00 to $10.00 a month. Not bad at all.
The pumps that come with the pool will burn out much faster if you have them on 24/7, that’s what happened to my first one. You can save a little more money on electricity if you run it over night and not during peak hours too.
What kind of pump do you have on there ?
It's the factory pump that came with it
No vacuum needed?
ruclips.net/video/n3_6Hip5NRw/видео.html
I dug out my vacuum, made quick work of cleaning the bottom
Do you find a need to vacumn this type of pool at all?
I don't have a vacum with mine, I used a pool leaf skimmer, which worked ok but hard to get the small stuff on the bottom, I may consider some type of vacuum this year that hooks up to my pump.
PovertyPointCustoms I don’t think the included filter has enough power for a vacuum. I upgraded to an Intex sand 2800gph filter.
I have a pool just like that filled with well water and I don't have to use that much chemicals to keep it Cristal clean
Is your well water hard or soft?
Just filled mine up. 🤦🏻♂️I hate this greenish water
Is it big, also how deep is it
42 inches deep, 14 feet. If I were to get another I would go 18 feet and at least 52 inches deep
Hey i would like to know the size because our pool broke and we forgot the pool size. Yours looks exactly like ours
14 feet by 42 inches deep
PovertyPointCustoms okay thanks
Wait do you add 1 pack every week
Yes, but if the pool is used alot we add more, as well make sure any debris leaves etc are cleared out daily as well make sure to keep the filter clean and your water should stay crystal clear.
Do you leave your pump running 24/7
I usually leave it on for 8 to 12 hours a day and it stays crystal clear, just make sure the chlorine is at the proper levels and I always clean out any leaves etc.
Ours looks milky......how do we make it clear again?
Does your pools watdr evaporAte out??
A little, but with some rain it balances out so I never really have to add any.
@@PovertyPointCustoms so you fill it back up w rain?♡
how do you clear a cloudy pool ?
I use a 1 pack of Soc-it (chlorine) and make sure the pool filter is cleaned a few times a day when the pools really cloudy, by doing this I was able to keep mine clear. And once the water is clear you can clean the filter every other day, and add the pack of chlorine weekly (with this size pool)
