    My husband has just used one of your previous videos to build three bird boxes. We thought it would take them ages to use it, but a pair of blue tits took up residence within days much to our delight.
    We are very fortunate and have lots of land, which we are planting for wildlife. We built a very large wildlife pond last spring and now we have newts, tadpoles, water beetles and more. Always watching your channel for tips on how to invite more nature into our lives. Thank you. 😊🌼🐦

    Thank you Joel, really helpful. I too used to think Rawl plugs were called Wall plugs! My dad was a builder and I thought for years that is what he called them! lovely bird boxes.

    Joel, I’ve been watching your videos for a couple months now, and I can see just how much effort you put into these and engaging with people, so while it’s rare for me to comment on any video I watch, I think it’s only fair to drop a comment and say thank you for all the advice your putting out! We moved into our first home last summer right in the centre of Warrington (with our first (small) garden), and I found your videos with the intention of trying to attract birds to our garden (the previous owners hadn’t been gardeners in any real sense). We now have tits (blue, great, and long-tailed), blackbirds, robins, dunnocks, sparrows, goldfinches, wood pigeons that visit daily. Like a drug, I’ve not been able to stop there and I’ve recently been making efforts to make the garden as insect friendly as possible and so far have installed verbena, neptuna, fox gloves, erigeron, and lavender amongst our other typical garden choices. Your videos are proving helpful in this regard too! Thanks again

      Hi Charlie, thank you so much for taking the time out to leave such a nice comment and of course encouragement and support for me, I really do appreciate it. Comments like yours make this all so worthwhile as there have been so many vital habitats made and you're a great "advert" in showing how rewarding gardening in this way can me. I'm really grateful, particularly after a very hard week! Remember if you need any help and advice about anything to add to the garden I give free professional and tailored advice to anyone buying from www.wildyourgarden.com - the more I can help, the better for wildlife. Best wishes, Joel

    This channel motivates me so much with my wildlife garden mission. I only have a small urban space but its a decent habitat these days. My local council have finally stopped using glyphosate on the street and the pavement and overgrown front gardens are full of nectar rich plants such as red valerian, campion, ivy leaf toad flax, dandelions The list is endless and its happened so quickly since they stopped. A small piece of positive news in these worrying times for our planet.Hoping the swifts arrive soon!!

So good to read about the local council too, let's hope that more and more councils adopt this, aside from saving vital insects and other smaller creatures, it saves money too! Best wishes - Joel

      Thanks Miche, it's taken a while to find the right craftsman to do what we need and to sell them, I'm rather choosy about the Wild Your Garden shop and only sell items/plants/pond supplies etc from the same specialists I've used for over 18 years, and the boxes fit in nicely with this - I'm so pleased with them. Very best wishes, as always - Joel

      Thank you so much, I think I can go so far as putting in writing that these will last a lifetime - I can't remember though whether I mentioned it in this video or the last, but they have been tested up in the Moors for a good few years and they still look as good as new, you couldn't get much harsher weather than that. Thanks again for all your support and I hope you and yours had a good weekend. Best wishes to you all, Joel

    • @WildYourGardenWithJoelAshton
      @WildYourGardenWithJoelAshton  2 месяца назад +1

      Hey Anna, good to hear from you! It's coming along nicely but I'm very tempted this year to increase the size of the pond and add some other elements. It's just finding the time to get out there due to working all over the country. However, really unwell this morning so stayed at home and have taken the opportunity to catch up on admin. Was just thinking about getting out in the front garden and doing an update as it's coming along really well, but just as I thought that I heard roadworks and it seems they've decided (without notice of course) to dig up the pavement and road right outside mine, barriers etc so will have to wait until they've gone tonight to go and do a video, it wouldn't make for good listening otherwise! Hope you're doing ok and I'm glad this video was helpful. Best wishes, as always - Joel 😃
