Holy crap found the green one Tombstone with the snake head at a Salvation Army store when I was young and never knew what it was from lol. I remember getting all kinds of crazy cool and complex figures after that but that simple rock guy was always my #1 favorite of all time 😂
Had these and the Inhumanoids as a kid, along with other action figures i was able to find at the Goodwill, and drive-in flee markets. Growing up in the 90s being poor, had to make do with what you could get.
5:01 nugget is the bumblebee of the rock lords. Nugget and Magmar were the ones I had as a kid too and my favorite two. I MIGHT have had Boulder but Ngt and Mgmr for SURE
I loved my rock lords growing up. I didn't realize how close I was to actually having them all until I saw this. Sadly I have to rebuild my collection over again. ❤😂
@@tydiriumhanger1320 I did indeed. I never knew the playsets were never actually released before. I saw all kinds of advertisements including tv commercials. I wonder if between not making enough sales, and over spending on advertising ended up killing the prospect of selling them.
Expansive, cool collection of Rock Lords! Thanks for showing the features of each one. A cool line, reminds me slightly of the Inhumanoids Rock-like character. The Gobots versus the Rock Lords movie was entertaining, but absolutely needs a DVD and Blu Ray release in 2023 or asap from Warner Brothers and the Hanna Barbera Classics Collection. I don't know what the hold up is, and I haven't seen this film in many years now, though I think it's viewable on RUclips possibly. Thanks for the great reviews!
I actually had the pterodactyl guy, I didn’t realize he was a rock lord. The reptile ball guy looks like he escaped from the Rocks n Bugs n Things line, just put a Mordle next to him or in front of his mouth and he’d fit right in.
that part on the back of nugget was his jetpack not a rocket engine. had all the rocklords figures. used to take them out in the backyard and have battles with my gobots and transformers. who knkew one day transformers and gobots would be together. strange times we live in. lol.
Rocklords... Good animated movie Mike. I would like to see a cartoon accurate version of Magmar and Boulder... Not sure if there's going to be a lot of fans onboard with this line today 💡😀☕
As a broke kid and as a kid that collected rocks, rock lords were a much easier sell for me. I really liked this series, but it was always a ghetto series and I could always afford them vs transformers or whatever at a much higher price.
I like going after toy lines that have an end. Seems like Gi joe, star wars and Transformers is endless even if you get the full run there is always another figure. Dinoriders and wheeled warriors is a bit out of my budget to finish these days and there are more lines like that I have to draw the line with sadly
One could say Rock Lords were ahead of their time with all the converting cube bots “rocking” the shelves and online retailers these days (BeasBOX, Etc.)
Pulverize and Stoneheart are dudes. Just some useless knowledge that I carry around in my head, lol. Also, I think Pulverize's legs are supposed to separate in human form so that it looks less like he's wearing a skirt. But then he's nearly impossible to stand up on a shelf when you do that. Very cool video and it provided a much-appreciated trip down memory lane. It was always a bummer to me that this was never a tv show of its own. They weren't as cool as Transformers overall, but I always liked them due to the facial detail each figure had.
One of the best action figure RUclipsrs for actually showing and talking about old stuff instead of just shilling the new junk
I appreciate it! These days I get more satisfaction from an old toy I never experienced and new obscure characters
Mike has a remarkable collection it's just stunning, very inspiring!😊
Glad you enjoy! This took me decades to acquire but only recently got serious about finishing this collection
Your collection continues to amaze - where do you keep it all 🤣and who thought transforming rocks would make a good toy line! different times 😎
Man....I love Rocklords!!! Got the movie on VHS 📼. Gotta love all the weird toy lines.
I’m just happy I can see what’s going on during the action scenes and I don’t feel like my eye balls are pendulums
A fun watch! This is great entertainment for us older crowd, lol.

I only had one Rock Lord as a kid, never seen that many

Nice collection! Jelly!
Thanks these are lots of fun

DAMN MY GUY YOU GOT EVERY VINTAGE LINE KNOWN TO MAN 😂…. you took it waaay back with Rock Lord
There are still some line that scare me to enter LOL. Rock lords are fun hope you enjoyed!
Pulverize looks like a recliner with lumbar support =)
I loved my rock lords growing up. I didn't realize how close I was to actually having them all until I saw this. Sadly I have to rebuild my collection over again. ❤😂
That is awesome that you had so many back in the day. Hope you had fun recapturing the memories

WB will sure slap a copyright for using the content but refuses to make money releasing a DVD of many of their properties
I still have the green one with two heads, in my attic.
i saw rocklords at the cinema. still got the vhs tape
Those were some fun times
12:30 Had this guy as a kid 🔥

Those were fun times and yes My Gobots and Transformers all battled each other

That is the main concern that creators have for gobots and these Rocklords but hope someone tries
my favorite rocklord would have to be tombstone
Were the Rock Lords originally from Japan or did Tonka design them?

Is there any toys you don't have? You have a very large collection of everything it seems!

@@tydiriumhanger1320 I hear ya
I have a fair few of these no narlis or vehicles yet but I have all of the easier ones complete, very cool line
It was a bit of a challenge getting these weapons to complete these figures but they look great on display complete
I never saw the series and movie back in the day. As such, I didn't even bough it
Very true most kids would not have liked these without watching the movie.
One could say Rock Lords were ahead of their time with all the converting cube bots “rocking” the shelves and online retailers these days (BeasBOX, Etc.)
Good point that new fad seems to be catching on these days

Interesting… Strange… ROCK LORDS get it done and all that stuff. With that, are pretty fun. Pretty cool overall.
They sure are different and yet cool after all these years
If anyone can pull off a reimagining production run of Rock Lords figures I would like it to be Ramin Toys or Super 7.
Ramen would make killer Rock lords. I do not think Super 7 makes anything that transforms
What a Ridiculous Concept… but I HAD LIKE 10 of them … n I LOVED THE ROCK LORDS VS THE GOBOTS
So simple and an affordable way for a kid to get a bigger Gobot
OK, everybody has to stop badmouthing rock-lords now because they're perfect and amazing. It's OK just only praise from now on...
This will be a day long remembered......Rock lords became cool!
gelatinous cube......AD&D
Gobots was a America and the transformer is Japan in the country as well known for decades that Asians countries are 20 to 25 Head of America
The weapons seem like an after thought to me, they don't fit very well with the figures. Love RL though, Sticks n Stones is my fav.
