Thanks! When I strum, I use my whole hand, not just my pointer finger - it's more stable and better for keeping rhythm. Then my thumb is incidentally sticking out and just happens to hit the body of the uke. I can't really explain how to do it because it just happens randomly. When I tried playing it while thinking about it just now to see if I could describe what I was doing, it didn't really happen, I wasn't able to consciously make it happen 🤣 When it did happen, it was awkward and not rhythmic because I was overthinking it. It's just something that comes from playing and practicing this strum rhythm for years and years and years....
