    So nice to see the Port Chilkoot Bible Church, we lived in Haines from 1980 to 1989. My husband who passed away completely unexpectedly in June 2020 and I were married in that church on February 6, 1982!,

    The tall building was the fire hall. The tower was for drying fire hoses. The guard house was next door towards the water.

    Why do you keep going back and forth to the ship?

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  Год назад

      We got off the ship in the morning and walked over to Mud Bay. Then we walked back to the ship. And then we thought we’d walk through town, so we did. Then we went back to the ship and had lunch. Then we decided to rent bicycles and ride to Chilkoot lake, but that’s a different video. That’s why. Your channel’s name…YIKES.

    • @PortMonkeys
      @PortMonkeys  22 дня назад

      This is our origin story from our website:
      The Origin of Our Name
      In our search for a name for our RUclips channel
      we considered what makes a good name.
      We wanted something catchy that also represented us.
      When Gareth was younger he had a couple of pet Spider Monkeys, HeShe and Mona. His parents used to call him a little monkey also. It turns out that Janet's parents also referred to her, and her 10 siblings, as little monkeys on occasion.
      Put that together with our love of ports and cruising and
      Port Monkeys was born.

    Best thing to do would be to abandon the ship and embark on a real adventure.
