Love your videos, especially the PowerBi. I am based in Adelaide and my employer is looking for a new CFO, it would be a dream to have someone like you onboard 🤩
Is it possible to slice based on an aggregate value from the original measure rather than having to create new categories through a new measure? i.e. Slicer that lets u filter the range of 'Diff_Amount'. So example, > 0$ but
If measure returns a percentage value and can we use that measure in slicer? Tried multiple ways and if your answer is yes please make a video Thanks in advance
It is possible. You don't need option "All" in your table then. And also DAX for measure Filter Flag should go something like this: VAR vSelected = allselected( Filter Classification[Selection] ) RETURN if([Classification] in vSelected, 1, 0)
@@veranikakhilko1551 what if I have 3 or 4 selections and I want to cover all different combinations? 1 & 3 or 2 & 4 or 1 & 4...still searching for a solution

Is there a way to do something similar but with multi-select rather than single select?
hm... not sure yet. but thanks for giving me something to think about.

@@Elo-i2h Did you figure this out?
Can you drop resource files in the comment? So we can learn by doing.
Interesting, all of this to avoid using a calculated column.
yes - where possible, Measures are preferrable to creating calculated column in Power BI.
It seems an incredibly long winded approach to what is a simple requirement...
Do you have better solution?
@Babayagaom No.bi am not criticising the approach as such. I'm criticising why such an approach is needed.
@@walterstevens8676 because microsoft is busy with useless updates of visuals and not addressing actual issues
