Thank you for these ideas. I too live in a very cold climate. I have some vintage, real fur hats and a few polar fleece hats that I wear because they don’t flatten out my hair as much as a beanie.
You are the queen of layering! I love how you continue to show how to wear pieces over and over again. I feel like no one else I follow shows how to do this. I also still love your heavier winter parka from Everlane. Do you still work with Everlane? I love it when you style their pieces!
Thank you so much! That means a lot to hear that. I don't work with them anymore unfortunately. They've ghosted me :-( Hopefully it's just because they're just so busy and hopefully we'll work together again someday. Still one of my favorite brands.
I agree with you about how good it is to see Emily show the same pieces on repeat but in new ways. I really value this and learn so much more about how to do the same with my wardrobe.
@@EmilyWheatley I hope so too! You are such a great stylist and showing people how to wear their clothes in so many different ways is something Everlane would definitely benefit from!
I am so glad to find a fashion blogger who lives in Minnesota. I found you after a comment made about you on You Look Fab. My bugaboo is socks. Yup it’s a small detail but I never am quite happy with what I find to wear with my shoes/loafers/booties during this lovely sliver of Fall before the snow arrives. All the SoCal fashion bloggers think we go about with bare ankles all winter! Thanks for sharing your passion!
Loved this as usual. I am always in black, but I got an ivory long wool coat that I get so many compliments on on. I guess that is edgy for me…others seeing me in something besides a black coat..😂😂😂
I guess I should watch your summer vids and then layer two coats on top, since NYC buildings are often broiling inside during the winter 😅 (New sub, loving your channel)
Fantastic video, Emily. What is the style number of your boots? I’m determined to find the all black. Not feeling the current model with the contrast red drawstring and accent. Thanks in advance.
Know you have had the long quilted liner for a bit.... can you let me know where you got that? Was it Everlane? Thanks.... you are a wealth of info : )
Of course! Here is my affiliate link www.pntrs.com/t/8-9711-183033-104709?sid=&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.everlane.com%2Fproducts%2Fwomens-renew-long-liner-black
I was astonished about 50 years ago when Snow boots generally disappeared in snow country. Why? I don't like wet cold feet myself. Lucky? me? I have spent most of my adult in areas where snow is rare or non existent.
At last, a proper video about winter layering! I feel like most fashion bloggers think we live in LA.. 🤷🏻♀️ Thank you for these useful tips! May I suggest a video idea? Styling pastel colours (especially lilac) when you want to have an edgy style and wear mostly black and dark neutrals.. Asking for a friend's 😂
You are killing it lately! Love the new video schedule layout. Just want to say I have always worn mostly edgy neutrals, but didn’t know to style them because I couldn’t find resources to teach me. I lived wear vs. style, I suppose. But ever since I’ve been implementing your tips, I’ve been getting compliments on my outfits everywhere. Thank you so much!!!
Super helpful video I never thought of layering coats. I'm in the UK it's funny here when the nights start getting darker earlier. Everyone is 'can you believe it it's only 5pm and its dark outside'. Like it's never happened before 😂.
I really like the style but i feel claustrophobic wearing turtlenecks- cant do. I also feel like beanies are too tight, usually. I like wearing a big fisherman navy blue sweater with hoodie underneath instead of a coat.
Do you buy your outerwear a size larger in order to fit all those layers under it? I don't think any of my winter coats could handle all that layering.
I live in a warmer climate. Don’t need very many winter clothes. We only get truly cold in Jan and Feb and snow maybe once every couple of years. Unfortunately I love winter clothes much more than summer. So here I am watching your cute winter stuff video 😂
No one does the reality of cold weather. You rocked it
Thank you so much!

If I wore that many layers I wouldn’t be able to move my arms. Like Randy in A Christmas Story.
Yesterday I wore my Jean jacket out and popped the color. That little piece - of popping the collar - sure did help elevate the look! Thanks!
Oh good! My favorite styling tweak :-) Glad it was helpful
ahhhh I'm in Milwaukee, so I FEEL YOU!!! Love all the layers, I have a hard time finding LONGER coats and jackets, they're all hip length, grrr!

Totally agree! I wear a lot of Everlane and have benefited immensely from Emily's styling tips!@@briannemoriarty7547

Another great video, thank you! Have loved watching this channel grow, I knew it would since the first time I watched it 🎉😊
Yay! Thank you so much for your support!

Yea, that's definitely edgy. I've been tempted by some super long ivory wool coats. Love the drama!
Ivory….so brave.
@@marylhere So far so good at least last year. It is not cold enough this year yet. I sure can never keep a white shirt clean.
I love how you layer, for winter. ❤
Thank you! 😊 You're good at layering too
I absolutely love the trucker denim jacket with the moussy long denim on top. It just looks so effortless and 😎 Your layering is just so good Emily!
Thank you so much Jessy!!
Love the shoes!!! And I feel like the jeans shade you picked, is definitely your color
Where did you get that little leopard neckerchief. Super cute.
I love to pin glitzy brooches on my coats and hats 🙂⭐🙏🏼❤
That's a fantastic idea!

Hahaha i know, same thing here in Minneapolis. That's why I always wear stuff I can layer down quickly.
In Australia it’s the reverse, going into cold buildings in summer I need another layer on .
Im in WI. Only addition would be scarves. I likes edgy classic prints like houndstooth, lips (think rolling stones), leopard print, b/w buffalo check
Love the laying!! Say! Emily I didn’t see the black vest link used in laying. Was it a new piece?
I cannot thank you enough!!!!

The all black should be listed in the RUclips affiliate links I believe. I'll double check.

Another winner
Thank you Darry!
How you see your style 5 to 10 years, from now ?
I was astonished about 50 years ago when Snow boots generally disappeared in snow country. Why? I don't like wet cold feet myself. Lucky? me? I have spent most of my adult in areas where snow is rare or non existent.
I’d love to be more stylish but that would require duplicate wear for chores and “town”… not exactly minimalist 😕

Super obsessed with the Boots. What a great solution that I could use in cold Chicago Weather!!!
Definitely! Comfortable, warm and edgy!
Minnesnowda! Yeah, it's bone cold out there.
Sure is :-)
Great outfits Emily, thanks for the inspo! Love from London x
Such great layering tips! Thank you! Love those boots!
Wisconsin here. Great video.
Awesome! Thank you!
How do you access the Links? You mention all the time about links a comp links to the merchandise.... where are they? thanks
Do you leave collar stays in your shirts or remove them ?
I've never had a shirt that had them. But I say it depends on the look you want. For a refined look, keep them in. Relaxed looked, take out.
I really like the style but i feel claustrophobic wearing turtlenecks- cant do. I also feel like beanies are too tight, usually. I like wearing a big fisherman navy blue sweater with hoodie underneath instead of a coat.
Love this video Emily! I’m in Alaska and we also layer up here!!
Show me a hat that covers your ears please! I'm in Minnesota too and those hats just will not do it. Otherwise love this video. ❤
Praying for and affirming your wish....
Like i always say, i can either afford a Carhart or a car. 😂
where are this boots from please?
❤ the layering though where at the mittens?
Ahhh shoot, I have some really cool mittens too :-( next time

Yes, this coat was already an oversized fit and then I sized up as well.
Thank you!

Love the Stella McCartney boots! Are they true to size? I need these!
Yes, true to size and still has space for thicker socks :-)

So glad!
Great layering style.
