Big bang. My grandson is in band at school. He is a senior and has bern in band in high school and 3 yesrs in middle school 1 year of jazz band in middle school. He plays the trombone. He is going to apply for Troy university after he finishes high school. Im sure he would love to be in there band. Andi know he is good. How talented bNd d.
That major 6th chord (I think that's what it is) in the pregame fanfare right before the low brass do their descent is so triumphant. Not only are they incredible in ability, they're incredible in the way their music is written. ( theory I believe is the term). Simply, the most incredible band in the state, if not the country.
I have seen this band a number of times when they played as exhibition band at the Enterprise Marching Band Festival. The one tune I vaguely remember was The Devil Went Done To Georgia. That may have been in the fall of 1980. And I remember them being called the "Sound of The South". Good times.
Until you see this in person you just cant really appreciate it, it is awesome.

I love that Troy is most well known for its marching band! So many great bands get overlooked, but not ours!
So true! Been a professional musician for 44 years, didn't go to Troy but they are hands down the best sounding marching band in all the 50 states!

What is the name of the music after the band starts moving in the T formation?
That's just part of our Pregame show. It's the same traditional music that we've been playing for the past few decades honestly.
@@dbznarutofanatic This pregame performance did not start until the 2000's with the new school logo, etc,
March Grandioso - Roland Seitz, and then it goes into another march. I'm just not sure which march the second half of the T downfield quotes.
